Great job Theresa, Laura Jane, and Kimberly.
Remember to say when you have completed the whole category as well.
I'm only doing three too Mim. It's still a lot of books (:

Burial Rites

The audiobook is read by Morven Christie, who does an amazing job with the Icelandic names, places, poetry, etc. This is definitely one where the narrator enhanced the experience. I just wanted to keep listening and finished it in one day. The story is amazing, and I look forward to more from Hannah Kent. I rate it 5 stars!

Idioms & Phrases
spin a yarn
Tell a story, especially a long drawn-out or totally fanciful one, as in This author really knows how to spin a yarn , or Whenever he's late he spins some yarn about a crisis . Originally a nautical term dating from about 1800, this expression probably owes its life to the fact that it embodies a double meaning, yarn signifying both "spun fiber" and "a tale." -from http://dictionary.reference.com/brows...

My progress as of 1/15 - one monopoly achieved so far in the Suspense category! I'm going for all 8 monopolies but that non-fiction category might get me :)
It's a subgenre challenge with a twist! This challenge uses a monopoly board, and each color is a different genre. Read the subgenre listed on each property--your goal is to get as many monopolies (all the subgenres listed for each color) as possible.
(Click to go to the full size version of the board.)
For example, if I were going for the suspense category, I would need to read one crime, one thriller, and one mystery book. A single book cannot count for multiple properties for this challenge--one book per category.
The max number you can go for is eight because there are eight possible monopolies on the board.
