Evie, so far i'm loving it. i'm just anxious for Blay and Qhuinn to finally talk to each other about how they really feel. i'm a sucker for emotions. hehe

I have a love/hate relationship with BDB. While I love some of the stories and plots twists and whatnot, dear god, do I hate the way J.R. Ward writes at times. ugh.

haha! i can see that Ty. when i'm really distracted by a author and their writing style i skip some things. i totally skipped Thor's book. it wasn't really the writing per se, i just didn't like the story line =(

I see what you did there. Putting the H in Tohr's name where it should be. My reading group on FB has a running list of things we love/hate about BDB. Those damn H's are quite prominent in the hate list.
Jaime wrote: "I am now reading

Crimson Footprints by Shewanda Pugh - Book Review 5 out of 5 stars
The balancing act of life…
Deena Hammond is a 24 year old architect living and working in her home town of Miami, Florida. In some ways Deena is very successful, but she comes from a poor background, and in many ways she is still inextricably tied up with those origins. Her grandmother, Emma Hammond, who brought Deena up, is constantly demanding and never satisfied. Deena’s adult brother Anthony is a small-time criminal, and her sister Lizzie, though still at school, is incorrigibly wayward and seems headed for a disaster of a life. Deena is half African-American and half white and feels that she was never really accepted by the black side of her family when they took her in as a child. In very harrowing circumstances Deena meets Takumi (Tak for short) Tanaka, the son of her world famous, distant and demanding boss Daichi Tanaka. Immediately the personal chemistry and attraction seems right, but everything else between these two people seems impossible. Deena is a mere underling. Should she even be talking to the son of the owner of the business she works for? What is more Deena’s family very much expects her to date a black man. Can these two people overcome the odds and form a friendship, or even the romance they both desire?
Shewanda Pugh’s Crimson Footprints can certainly be classified as a romance; however, it is much more than that. It is a story of class consciousness and racial division. It is about the struggle to find the right equilibrium between work and family, and it is a story about trying to ‘do the right thing’. Most of all, this novel is about balance in all things. We are all different, but we must overcome our resistances and come to the centre ground if we are truly going to be a success in life.

no, u are right to read them. they aren't pronounced. it's just hard for me when i'm writing reviews or comments cause i want to spell the names correctly. i pride myself in my spelling. hehe
Fran wrote: "Ty, I'm only about 20% in but so far I like it. Hot alpha guy, sassy tatoo artist girl. Great chemistry...."Ty, the first 20% was the best. I didn't love the rest of the story. Needed an editor, which became distracting, and the story just fell flat. It was ok, I gave it 3*.
Recently finished a great funny rom com Sex In The City type book by Zack Love called Sex In The Title! Synopsis
ew York City, May 2000. The Internet bubble has burst, and Evan's boss fires him with an email. The next day, his girlfriend dumps him, also via email. Afraid to check any more emails, Evan desperately seeks a rebound romance but the catastrophes that ensue go from bad to hilariously worse. Fortunately, Evan meets someone whose legendary disasters with females eclipse even his own.
To reverse their fortunes, they recruit their friends into a group of five guys who take on Manhattan in pursuit of dates, sex, and adventure. With musings about life, relationships, and human psychology, this quintessential New York story about the search for happiness follows five men on their comical paths to trouble, self-discovery, and love.

Huh, that's good to know, Fran. I've had that one kind of hovering around the edges, wondering it I wanted to read it or not. I think maybe I'll just pass...
Just about finished
and I have to say I'm loving every bit of it. Highly recommend this series if you haven't read it yet.

ooohhh such a pet peeve of mine. I had to stop reading several books because it was so obviously self-published with no editor in sight. You have to wonder about writers who can't even grasp the concept of proper punctuation and sentence structures.... Chicago Manual of Style. Go!
I started Dirty Thirty
this morning for the Meet&Greet Challenge and I'm also going to use it for 'D' in the Monthly Challenge. Love fitting a book into more than one challenge!
