Andreas | 61 comments I know that I'm a little bit late to step in here and I even didn't start the series, yet. But I plan reading it in a month.
So, could you help me and post the recommended sequence for me, please?

we are doing the chronological order, with some slight modifications in regard to the prequels...lol

so we went:
shards of honor
barrayar
the warriors apprentice
the vor game
Cetaganda
Ethan of athos
borders of infinity(the collection)
Brothers in arms
Falling Free
Mirror dance

Alexa (AlexaNC) | 302 comments Except we took "Mountains of Mourning" out of Borders of Infinity and read it after The Warrior's Apprentice.

that story made a great bridge to Vor Game.

Katy (kathy_h) Just finished all the book ~ I was trying to read along with the group, but I really got into the book and just had to finish them. Now what to read?

can't say, I haven't read it! but I do know a lot of people have enjoyed it. you can read a discussion on the series' individual books (some threads with spoilers, others without spoilers) in the great group Beyond Reality:

Maggie,
Could you list the next 6? I'm trying to get the shelf stocked, but want to make sure I get the ones I'll be needing in the near future! I do like this series.

Linda-all the books that the group is signed on for are listed by months on the group bookshelf....it's a button up in the right hand corner

Andreas | 61 comments I justed wanted to point you (and remind myself) to Bujold's own recommendated reading order:
Falling Free
Shards of Honor
Barrayar
The Warrior’s Apprentice
“The Mountains of Mourning”
“Weatherman”
The Vor Game
Cetaganda
Ethan of Athos
Borders of Infinity
“Labyrinth”
“The Borders of Infinity”
Brothers in Arms
Mirror Dance
Memory
Komarr
A Civil Campaign
“Winterfair Gifts”
Diplomatic Immunity
Captain Vorpatril’s Alliance
CryoBurn

yup, that's the order we are doing...since the short stories are found within other books, they are read with the book, and we moved Falling Free later in the sequence because it isnt a great place to start.
