Great idea, Lynn! I've been looking for a holiday themed read this year. I just started A Christmas Carol and I'm hoping to have time later in the month to read All I Want for Christmas is You. I'll update with my thoughts once I've had time to read them. :)

Thanks Kristie :)
I love Christmas and have already watched a silly amount of cheesy Christmas films, so thought I'd join in with the books too!
The two examples above are the two I'm hoping to read.

I'm the same way. Lots of cheesy Christmas movies and excess Christmas music. I've just decided to add the books in this year too. I have The Christmas List and a couple others on my TBR as well.
Aw I like the sound of that but it seems we should read the previous ones first, which I don't have time for :)

I haven't decided on the title yet, I will update my entry as soon as I choose something :)

@ Colleen - I can't wait to see what you think of Christmas with the Kranks. I was considering adding it to my TBR and noticed that it has very mixed reviews. I think I'd like to read it for Christmas next year.
@ Linda - That book is #8.5. Can her books be read out of order or is there that thread that blends them together so that they should be read in order? I haven't read anything from that series yet. (I keep meaning to, they just keep falling through the cracks!)

I've read up to #8 and I would say you could read them on their own. Pretty much the only storyline that continues through her books is the will-she, won't-she love interests with Morelli and Ranger.
So I started
today .... and finished it!
It was a little cheesy (but that's to be expected from a Christmas book I think?) but so lovely and I had tears streaming down my face by the end. 5 stars!

I've just read
It centers around the friendship of two teenagers named Evan and Lucy. They grew up together and are best friends, but when Lucy's parent's split and she moves away with her Mother they only get to see each other during winter break.
This year when when Lucy arrives back in town, she doesn't look — nor act — anything like Evan remembers.
The book has a nice balance for YA realistic fiction; not too sickingly sweet chick-lit but also not too over dramatic teenage angst.
A cute, little story that didn't wow but definitely made me smile. 3 Stars.

Bruno and the Carol Singers: A Christmas Mystery of the French Countryside
It's a lovely short read and very seasonal. It's about the spirit of the season and also shows the wonderful traditions of Christmas in the French countryside!

I plan to read

Also may read:

The Christmas Shoes will make you cry! It's great though.... :)

Love Skipping Christmas! The movie (Christmas with the Kranks) follows the book pretty closely which is unusual.

Did you ever read

That sounds like a lovely read, it's going on my tbr :)

This year I read

I forgot to update here, but I read
. It is exactly what I expected after seeing so many movie and theater versions. It was really great to finally read it.
I did not have time to read the other Christmas themed stories that I wanted to this year. I'm hoping that next season I will have more time to do so (as I will be done with school!) and have added a bunch to my TBR. :)
Great idea for an additional read Lynn! Hope to do it again next year.
