Does anyone have a favorite book out of all they've read so far this year?"I'm at 31 out of 50. I've actually gotten several giveaways, and 2 of them I thought were great-Shade and The Crying Dance.
I'm at 10 out of 24...but I only started in late April. I have a good feeling that I might go past my goal.
I've read 80 out of 214 and I'm 27 books behind, but that's better than the 30 behind I was last week!!
I have finished 77 out of 150 books and so I am two books ahead! I am surprised and happy with myself!
I'm read 70 out of the 80 books I set myself as a challenge, so I'm planning on upping my goal. I can't decide if I should go to 100, or push myself with a higher goal.
I went ahead and up my goal from 72 to 80 books and I'm sitting at 54 books read so I'm still ahead. I may increase the goal later again.
My original goal was 50 books. I surpassed that goal in May so I updated my goal to 80 books. I looks like I will surpass that goal in the next couple of weeks. I think I will shoot for 100.

I plan on reading 24 books this year, which can be broken down to 2 books a month. Last year, I think I didn't even read half of it. I work full time and live away from my family. So, have a few household chores for the weekend. Let's see how it goes. Good luck to everyone else. :)
jyst a little update.... I was planning on 24 books like 2 in a month, but I'm way ahead and so far I've read 20 books already. so I'm considering to change my goal to 30 :)
I didn't read much at all last year, maybe finished 4 books, started a dozen or so, so I set my goal to 12 for this year. I've read 8 so far so I'll be 1 behind in a few days.
Question for the group - do you guys continue to up your goal if you are getting close to hitting it? I started with a goal of 30 books for this year and was quickly approaching it so I upped it to 50 earlier this spring and now I'm at 44 of 50 books and will definitely surpass that. I'm considering upping it to at least 60, although I might challenge myself to try for 75, but I wasn't sure if people update theirs or if they just go over the goal by however much?

I did. It was my first year of actually tracking what I read so I really had no idea where to set my goal. And I don't think reading over your goal is as motivating as reading to your goal.
My goal was 150 and I've read 122 so far so 12 books ahead. I think I'll probably leave my goal as it is instead of upping it.
My goal is 47 but I am at 44, so I keep pushing the number up :)https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
My goal was 12 and then I kept added until I got to 50, I have now completed that and I am still reading. I think it has become slightly addictive :)
My target was 50 books for 2014, and I am on my 52nd book at the moment.Target a little higher next door.
It's always nice to be able to increase your goal! Congrats on meeting your 50 book goal for this year.
I have completed 134 out of 150 and am reading as fast as I can!! I may have to pull out a couple of my granddaughter's books to meet my goal. She's almost 3. :)
Here are the 25 books I've read for 2014. I was a complete slacker when it came to reading pretty much starting around Halloween. I don't know if I'll get to the next 5 books by 12/31 for my 30-book 2014 challenge... I have a 6 hour flight from Oregon to North Carolina for Christmas, so I'm hoping to get a good chunk read in that time. I think I'll set a goal of 24 for 2015. One book per 2 weeks sounds more reasonable. And The Mountains Echoed
