I started off with a light read before moving on to a much darker work.

I agree. I started it yesterday afternoon, and I probably would have finished it today if I hadn't been distracted by other things. It really isn't anything like I was expecting. I had heard some mixed reviews in the past, but so far it is one of the better books I've read this year.
