how about a switch up for the new year 2014? I propose making it a monthly challenge and removing the "no more than two books from a series" restriction?

@Ezi and Belkis There already is a Monthly challenge for Ducks in a Row - it would just need to remove the 1-2-3 only part and the only 2 to a series

Oh but I like it the way it is! Two months makes it more do-able, and the 'no more than two from a series' makes it more challenging. I can't imagine reading more than two from the same series in such a short time anyhow :)

@Barb, for next year, I want to work on reading more than one book a series. So if I read a book and it was good, then keep going until I get tired of that series.
but of course as Melissa pointed out, we can have both :D
And I'm one of those who can't read series books back to back -- or even too close together ... which is probably how I got myself into so many different series LOL
@Melissa & Ezi - lucky i'm wearing envy blockthis works great the way it is! it helps push odds & ends to finish off series and if you're reading more than one series this helps you move on several at once. at least that is how it worked for me. I also agree that the no more than 2 per series was a good motivator for me to start a new set and clear some more stragglers
@Pat - you know I'm just envious of how you blow through books - every once in a while that green eyed monster comes out,lol He's packed away now :)

ezi -- maybe you can get your envy block that way. when I first started with envy block I used blindfolds, but I ran out of material plus people kept bumping into stuff. I find it's easier to go with coating myself now

Rules: Read books from the same series or ‘mix-n-match’ – as long as it was at least three in a row. Like 3, 4, 5? Or 11, 12, 13? 17, 18, 19? (You do NOT have to read them in that order.) As long as you keep it all in a row. There can NOT be more than two from the same series...
