Ketchup Clouds, real book?

Hi! Yesterday after I had finished Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher, I searched for the death row and I found that Annabel Pitcher when she was little talked by letters with a prisioner of the death row!
I think that is incredible, this book is some kind of "real" novel.
What do you think?

really? That's sounds cool- does that mean that whatever happened in the book, was what happened to her? Or did she just create this based on the story of maybe the prisoner?
That is quite cool that she actually based part of her story from her past. It makes the story much better when it comes from past experiences.
