I know what you mean. I can't believe how many times a certain person was supposed to be dead in PLL, and then was miraculously reincarnated again!

message 52: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments PLL and HON are awful like that.

I find HON worse though, because those are written so badly now.
At least PLL has a few good twists.

message 53: by Mei (new)

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments I've heard that there will be a 15th book in PLL coming, titled 'Toxic'. I really thought it ends at the 14th!

message 54: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments There's 2 more, i think.

message 56: by cc (new)

cc (caitlinisakittycat) You know a book is bad when you wonder how the author even managed to get such trash published.

message 57: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I wonder that frequently!

message 58: by cc (new)

cc (caitlinisakittycat) So depressing when you consider it took JK Rowling 12 tries to get someone to publish her amazing series & then these ones get published no problem, even though they're less entertaining than toilet paper... & less useful.

Not only there is a 15th book that it is going to be published I think next year but the series is "supposed" to end at the 16th book... I mean come ON... How long does it take to kill Allison for good???????????
At least the HON has more humor than PPL... and we know that the next book is also the LAST one!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!
P.S: I do wonder how they get them published??? I mean are they THAT succesfull????

You know a book is bad when... you have no idea what is going on, and you don't really care that you don't know. you just want it to be over already :(

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

jam (jamirUGH) | 64 comments You know a book is bad when it's made of metaphors that don't make any sense! -.- Hi Shatter Me. xD

message 70: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) You know a book is bad...

When it's dragging and you don't know the sequence anymore.

ex. VAMPIRE DIARIES.

message 71: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) You know a book is bad...

When the book is too chunky, and you keep on reading waiting for something to happen.

By the end of the book, it ends with nothing special..

Jimbo Pantas | 9 comments You know a book is bad...

When histrionics were exploited and strewn all over the pages.

When the protagonist is acting weak and stupid and illogical.

When there's nothing exciting happening.

When it makes my eyes roll all by themselves.

I can't manage what you're doing Hannelore - reading too many books all at once! I tend to mix information. But I guess it's effective for some people :)

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments You know a book is bad when it's easier making a review for it, and it's more fun finding gifs that sums up your feelings perfectly than reading it.

I read them both ages ago. Abbie's read all of the house of night books though.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments You know a is bad when you glad the end happened and could of came sooner.

message 98: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Savannah wrote: "When parodies are way better than the real thing... Have you guys tried evermore or house of night?"

I've read all of those.
I enjoyed HON until about book 8. They've been pretty awful since then.

message 99: by jam (new)

jam (jamirUGH) | 64 comments @Matthew Haha. Shatter Me is a great book, really. I just hate the metaphors. But the plot is awesome. The book isn't necessarily bad, just made it an example for that. xD

message 100: by jam (new)

jam (jamirUGH) | 64 comments @Maddison I disagree with that. I respect your opinion tho. When there's romance, a book just gets some plus points from me. Whether or not it's the center of the story.
