Good morning,Because I tried to score points twice with the same task with posts 2005 and 2006, I am revising my point total down to 80.

Task 25.4, option 3, requires that the book have 6 words in the title. The Plague Forge only has 3 words in the title - series titles do not count as part of a title.

Task 20.7
For GR genre task purposes, the required genre MUST appear on the main book page on Goodreads. An outside reference calling a book "science fiction" won't work.

For task 25.4, option 1, only the specified variations of the listed words are allowed and this includes the use of the word in a compound word. "Snowbound" is not one of those variations.
Please see The Rules of the Challenge.. "7. Each book must be read completely and can be counted only once per challenge."
You have used books previously claimed for other tasks for tasks 25.2, 25.5, 25.7, 25.9 and 25.11. Looking back, I see that you also did this in post 2192, for task 15.4, for which you posted the same book you used for task 5.7.

For task 30.2,option A, both genres, Fantasy and Science Fiction must appear on the main page - only Fantasy is there. If both genres were previously verified and noted in the help thread or the genre verification thread, please repost with a link to the post noting the genres.

Poongothai - posts 2190-2192If you would like to get Goodread Author (GRA) or Big Book (BB) tickets for a chance at designing a task for the challenge, you must specifically mention that the book is written by a Goodreads author or is a Big Book in your post. The summary of the number of authors or big books at the bottom is not sufficient. Please look through the completed task thread. You'll find many good examples of how to do this in that thread.

For 30.7, option 2, you'll need to include the cover.
For option 5, the task requires that you "read an anthology that has AT LEAST 2 transition books." The book you've posted does not fit the requirement.
Also, it appears to exist only in audio and ebook form, so you'll need to get it approved in the ebook verification thread to use it for any task.

The book you linked to for task 30.7, option 4, The Superior Educator, A Calm and Assertive Approach to Classroom Management and Large Group Motivation only shows a kindle edition. If this also exists in paper, please post with the link to the paper version, or have the editions combined by a librarian. If it only exists as an ebook, please ask for length approval in the ebook verification thread.

Silent Encroachment has no genres listed. Most likely because there is only 1 rating (yours) for this book.
For task 20.2, the book's main page must list the required genre.

The character of Dr. Temperance Brennan is based on the character of the author or the series, Kathy Reichs. On the author's webpage, she specifies this, and that although there are differences in their personal lives, they have the same CV. Frankly, I don't of anyone with Dr. Reichs qualifications and accomplishments who is not a genius, which is on most IQ scales an IQ of 130 or higher. In addition, in the TV series Bones, although loosely based on the novels, the character of Dr. Brennan is the same as in the novels. There are references in many episodes that she is "very intelligent" and a genius, and that she does not considers genius anything less than 150. I do not have quotes and references, and although an exact IQ is never given, there are references to an IQ higher than 160.
Without more research, I don't have any proof. If that does not work, that's OK.
I don' know if I would called Temperance in the books a geek - highly educated and an expert in her field but not necessarily a geek

In the help thread, the task creator has stated several times "Being skilled/knowledgeable in a scientific field does not automatically qualify a person as a geek, nerd or genius." Unless there is something in the book description to indicate that the main character in the book is a genius, as opposed to a scientist and professor, the book does not appear to fit the description for the task.

Task 25.6 requires that you state in your post the name of the country in which you currently live.
Task 50.1, option 1A, requires both a genre of Romance and that the main character be a spy or assassin. Nothing in the GR description suggests that a spy or assassin is involved - if there is a main character who fits the description, please repost, explaining this.
option 6 requires that the book must feature "a geek, nerd, or a genius." Nothing in the book description indicates that Dr. Jekyll is any of these things.

For task 50.1, Mrs. Peacock, the task creator has stated several times that the main character's travel must not be for work. From the description and review comments of G'Day to Die, it appears that the main character is traveling as part of a job as a tour guide for seniors. If she is in fact traveling just for her own vacation purposes, please repost and explain how this fits the task.

You used The Complete Tales of Winnie-the-Pooh for task 10.5. Preschool and early elementary school level books are not accepted for SRC points.

Just an FYI - your total is off by 5 points. At the end of your post on 1/15, you had 360 points. On 1/27, you added a 25 point task, but showed a total of 390.

no, don't repost. Unfortunately, the approval is not at all consistent with the other books that were disapproved - probably because the GR description was somewhat misleading, suggesting that the main character was just a tourist. You had to look into the comments a little more to see that she was not on vacation, but was working.
But, since you relied on this, it counts.

reading the description sure made it sound as if the MC was part of a group of senior citizens travelling - but I thought it sounded a little odd for her to be a senior! That was what got me curious enough to read down thru more comments. Hey, it happens!

When you do this, indicate clearly at the top of the post that that is why you're doing it. That way, the readerboard mod doesn't have to spend a lot of time figuring out why your posts are there.
