I never even got three of a kind! And I used my chance already too. Sometimes the Yahtzee gods don't like me very much... At least there is an alternate task, better than putting in a zero!

I need more clarification - as usual. Would snow covered mountains on the cover qualify, like this one
? It isn't large or a major part of the cover, but it is there. Or does it need to be more?
That's fine Kat! I see the snow on the mountains. Of course they have to put naked people on the cover with the snow, lol.

Thanks Fran!

Kat, I put an etc. in the description to make it easier. Any summer item will do, like if someone was in a bathing suit and the title was Summer Heat. That would work ;)
Jane (PS) wrote: "Hey - how about Lazy SUNdays? ;) ;)"That would be awesome, but even if we could stretch it that far, I don't think it meets the page count does it?
Well, it does look like a sunny day. I guess it could be a Summer day... lol....sure, you can use it :)
Don't forget to roll for September in a few days! Roll any time between August 29th and September 2nd.September Alternate Task- Read one book found on any shelf of another RRRC member.
Oh, I like that alternate task! I feel like I am going to be using a lot of alternates as we get towards the end of this challenge.
No, I'll roll! Haven't missed that yet, but the yahtzee gods have not been kind the last couple of months!
I forgot!!! Darn it. That's the thing - you remember too early and then the remembering is done, and you forget :(As you noted Kat - this month's task is a great one at least ;)
I was hoping to use the alternate task this month. I haven't had to use it once yet! I got the 3 books by the same author one.....and as Kat suggested, they will be on the shorter side!
I feel a bit like a loser - I've had to use the alternate task about 6 times 'cos I keep forgetting!!! I WANT to roll, LOL!
You do realize next month you will be inundated with reminders, because I'm telling everyone right now to remind you to roll next month! =PHey everyone! Let's all remember to remind Jane to roll next month!! =)

LOL!!! I will welcome the reminders!
Reminder! Please roll for your October Task between Sept. 28- Oct. 2.
October Alternate Task- Read one book in a favorite sub-genre of Romance, and read one book in a sub-genre of Romance you read less frequently
Now I came into this group way to late for this challenge what are the possibilities that we will be doing it again?
*EDITED*I updated the wording to the October Alternate Task
A sub-genre of Romance would be Contemporary, PNR, Erotica, Historical, Western, etc.

I would like to run it again. We, the Mods have been discussing our challenge line up for 2015. If we run this one again it will probably start right after this one ends. So a January 1, 2015 start date. The challenge will get posted around mid-December.
I hope you join in (assuming we run it again)- it's been a lot of fun!

Fran, I looked but didn't see this mentioned before, and since I rolled a small straight for next month, it came to mind. Is there a minimum page count for novellas, or is it just anything under 125 pages?
Hi Fran!! If I want to join now, do I have do the alternative tasks from all the past months or can I start with October?
Hi Gigi!If you would like to jump in now you would need to do all of the past alternate tasks. You can roll for October though :)
I am WAY behind! I have 10 days to read 3 books by the same author. Where did the month go? I've been reading all of my other challenge books instead, but I'm going to just have to focus on these Yahtzee books now. I have been doing so well up until this month!

I've decided to read three by Linda Lael Miller. She's a fast and fun read for me every time!
I put off starting my Linda Lael Miller books and then panicked! I read Bloodlust on October 1st so I chose the next two of Stefan's Diaries to finish up my three of a kind before month end. I finished The Craving a few minutes ago so I only have The Ripper to read before Friday. I think I'm going to make it...phew!...and it's almost time to roll again!
Do we know the alternate task for November? Because I suspect I will be using it again - they rolls have not been going my way the last few months!
