Lauren (laurenjberman) Lauren's Answers to DQ's for Chapters 1-9

1. I was expecting him to wake up in Demonreach, since Mab told him he’d have to prepare for the journey to her court, but he woke up in the Knight’s suite! Mab has a unique sense of physical therapy. Comments.

I can't say I was expecting him to be on Demonreach but I wasn't expecting the Knight's Suite either!

So, Harry's body was basically in a coma for the entire sequence of evens in Ghost Story? He wasn’t really a ghost merely a disembodied spirit?

Mab sure has an interesting take on physical therapy, lol!

2. He’s got his mother amulet back! I’m so relieved. I wonder if he ever gets back the other magical things he had: the staff, the rings, blasting rod, and the shield bracelet?

yes, very glad he still has it and he will probably need it at some point in the story.

I guess he'll have to make the other objects himself - they were all things he created while the amulet was the only one that was given to him so it has special significance

3. What do you think of Sarissa and her relationship to Mab (Mab’s BFF!), her bargain with Mab, and what Mab had planned for her and Harry?

Maybe I'm just paranoid and suspicious by nature but Sarissa just seems way too good to be true!

4. We met a few new interesting characters from the Winter Court. Comments:

a.) Cat Sith - love his name! Not sure what to make of him yet...
b.) Kringle AKA Santa Clause (what was he before becoming Santa?) - I was just as weirded out as Harry to learn that he is a member of the Winter Court. What was that about hunting?! What exactly do they hunt?! Maybe I don't want to know
c.) Redcap - He needs to be taught a lesson in manners...

5. What a birthday party! What did you think of oversized ice furniture from his apartment? I thought it was creepy!

Is Harry's birthday really on Halloween? Were we told that before?

6. So clever of Sarissa to do what she did with iron hidden in her chopsticks! But it could have gone really wrong. Comments.

She's a smart cookie - makes me even more suspicious!

7. Is Harry going to kill Maeve? Why Mab chose now to have her killed and have Harry to do it? Should Harry have confided in Sarissa about his assignment?

I have my doubts about it - she's immortal and I think that Mab has some sort of alterior motive here.

One thing I must say is that I really, really hope that Harry does not have sex with Mab (again) or Maeve (or any winter fae for that matter). *ick*

8. Don’t you just love Toot-Toot?! But why does he keep growing? And what do you think about the Munstermobile?

Lol! Toot-Toot and the Za-Lord's guard are fantastic. I really missed Marsters' voices for them in the last book

9. Not again!! I hope it doesn’t take the whole book for Harry’s friends to believe he is really Harry.

Hope so too - been there, done that and its enough!

Lauren (laurenjberman) I'm almost at chapter 17 - do you want me to do the questions?

Phoenix (Online Elf) | 4358 comments Discussion Questions for Chapters 10-17

10. Andi and Butters!!! Woho. Go, Butters!

11. I’m worried about Harry’s rage and his improper thoughts about Molly; at least he has controlled them so far. They must be the effects of being the Winter Knight; I hope they don’t get any worse!

12. Was it safe to talk in front of Toot-toot about Harry’s mission and the fact that Bob knows how to kill an immortal? I didn’t think it was safe! And how does Mab know that Bob knows?

13. Harry is going to make a new vessel for Bob; any idea what it’s going to be? Or where? Do you think this will come into play in this book, or a future one?

14. Fun fact about trick-or-treating and what immortals do on Halloween! So, if they refuel on Halloween using other immortals, what do used immortals do? They have lost energy, haven’t they?

15. A theory for WHY Mab wants Harry to kill Maeve: Maybe Mab doesn’t really want Harry to kill Maeve; maybe she just wants him to learn HOW to kill an immortal for another purpose. All those creatures in Demonreach are immortal…so… Do you have any theories?

16. Who sent the other group of evil Little Folk to kill Harry? Was it significant that they had orange and red light instead of blue?

17. Lea had told Molly about Harry being alive; she was prepared for him, with a big comfy apartment and a room for Harry! Something isn’t right; there is something fishy about the whole thing! Do you feel the same or is it just me? Who are these Svartalves? I can’t remember them from before! Do you think they’ll come back into the storyline?

18. Harry and Thomas reunion almost made me cry!!! Loved it! Who called Thomas and told him to be there? One possibility is Mab; can you think of anyone else? And the timing is suspicious too! Harry came to Chicago a little before 2 am but whoever called Thomas, called him at 10 pm!

19. The food and fire in the cottage on Demonreach; who did this and why?

20. The runes that kept naagloshii out can also keep creatures like that inside! We know that the original Merlin created the island as a prison (building it once, at five different times, all at the same time), but when and how did he put all those creatures in there?

21. Merlin was the first warden, but now there are many? Does that mean right now there are more than one or that there has been more than one throughout the existence of the Well?

22. Does it matter who is going to attack the island or just the fact that someone is attacking it is what’s important? Who do you think it is and why? It’s not going to release the creatures; the attack is going to trigger the fail-safe, and then everything goes BOOM! So, what's the point?

23. If the attack is coming from the future, does this mean Harry has to do some time traveling? Or just get to the person before they can get to that future point?

24. Love this quote from Bob:
“I respect the crap out of you!” LOL! I thought he handled Demonreach nicely. You?

25. Molly can do something about the parasite in Harry’s head? (As if the White Council knowing about Harry being a warden of Demonreach wasn’t enough of a headache.) Whoa. Harry’s been good about not putting things off, but I can’t help thinking he needs to do something about this sooner rather than later.

#1 – Yes, it was “all a dream” – LOL! No, not quite a dream. A disembodied spirit is a better description.

#2 – I hadn’t considered that.

#4b – Maybe not!!

#5 – Yes, it was in one or two of the other books (Dead Beat, for sure) and mentioned a couple times.

#7 – Yes, ick! LOL!

#8 – Marsters does them perfectly.

1. I was expecting him to wake up in Demonreach, since Mab told him he’d have to prepare for the journey to her court, but he woke up in the Knight’s suite! Mab has a unique sense of physical therapy. Comments.
Yes, not a lair. LOL! Mab is sadistic. Beyond sadistic, actually.

2. He’s got his mother amulet back! I’m so relieved. I wonder if he ever gets back the other magical things he had: the staff, the rings, blasting rod, and shield bracelet?
Ditto. I remember his amulet missing in Ghost Story.

3. What do you think of Sarissa and her relationship to Mab (Mab’s BFF!), her bargain with Mab, and what Mab had planned for her and Harry?
Funny, actually. Made me smile. I sometimes think – or know – I need a Pop Culture Consultant.

4. We met a few new interesting characters from the Winter Court. Comments:
a.) Cat Sith
He’s scary, but I think he’ll come to respect Harry.
b.) Kringle AKA Santa Clause (what was he before becoming Santa?)
I liked Kringle; I don’t know what he was before.
c.) Redcap
Needless to say, I don’t like him. I don’t think we’ve see the last of him.
5. What a birthday party! What did you think of oversized ice furniture from his apartment? I thought it was creepy!
Very creepy. And cold. At least they didn’t bring any presents. LOL!

6. So clever of Sarissa to do what she did with iron hidden in her chopsticks! But it could have gone really wrong. Comments.
True.

7. Is Harry going to kill Maeve? Why Mab chose now to have her killed and have Harry to do it? Should Harry have confided in Sarissa about his assignment?
I don’t think he’ll kill Maeve; I think she’ll die some other way. I don’t know whether or not Harry should trust Sarissa.

8. Don’t you just love Toot-Toot?! What about the Munstermobile?
Yes, love Toot-Toot. I like the Munstermobile, but really miss the Blue Beetle.

9. Not again!! I hope it doesn’t take the whole book for Harry’s friends to believe he is really Harry.
Yes, I groaned, too. I don’t want to go through that again. Of course, we have the advantage of knowing he’s really our Harry.

3. What do you think of Sarissa and her relationship to Mab (Mab’s BFF!), her bargain with Mab, and what Mab had planned for her and Harry?

I have a feeling something bad is going to happen to Sarissa. And It’s scary how good Mab knows Harry. She didn’t send some shea lady to take care of him , but sent him someone who he would feel close to and compassionate towards!

4. We met a few new interesting characters from the Winter Court. Comments:
a.) Cat Sith
Hmm not sure about him ,he’ll be a tough character for Harry to deal with !An unreliable sidekick !

b.) Kringle AKA Santa Clause (what was he before becoming Santa?)
Loved him, when harry started describing his scarlet coat and his beard I thought of Santa but I didn’t think he actually would use his name .I thought it would just a hint!

c.) Redcap
This is not the last we saw him.

8. Don’t you just love Toot-Toot?! But why does he keep growing? And what do you think about the Munstermobile?

Absolutely love Toot-Toot . I really like to know why he keeps growing up and he is concerned about it. It could have something to do with the responsibilities that he has, they make him grow?!

1. I was expecting him to wake up in Demonreach, since Mab told him he’d have to prepare for the journey to her court, but he woke up in the Knight’s suite! Mab has a unique sense of physical therapy. Comments.
Oh boy, the Knight's suite - RUN, HARRY, RUN!!!
Mab's special brand of physical therapy leaves alot to be desired.

2. He’s got his mother amulet back! I’m so relieved. I wonder if he ever gets back the other magical things he had: the staff, the rings, blasting rod, and the shield bracelet?
I was happy that he got his mother's amulet back too. He'll either make do without the rest, replace them...or magical things have magical ways about them - those items may just find Harry again.

3. What do you think of Sarissa and her relationship to Mab (Mab’s BFF!), her bargain with Mab, and what Mab had planned for her and Harry?
Right now, I just don't trust Sarissa - too sweet to be real, especially in Winter. The thought of Mab even having a BFF made me really LOL - really. Neighbors may have thought I was nuts.

4. We met a few new interesting characters from the Winter Court. Comments:
a.) Cat Sith I thought he is very cool, and I can see him being an ally to Harry eventually.
b.) Kringle AKA Santa Clause (what was he before becoming Santa?) Okay, Santa Claus in Winter; this is worth some chuckles.
c.) Redcap Don't like him - think he may need to die.

5. What a birthday party! What did you think of oversized ice furniture from his apartment? I thought it was creepy!
Very creepy! I agree with Lisa Kay - no presents; that could have been horrifying!

6. So clever of Sarissa to do what she did with iron hidden in her chopsticks! But it could have gone really wrong. Comments.
Again, I don't trust her, but the iron chopsticks were cool.

7. Is Harry going to kill Maeve? Why Mab chose now to have her killed and have Harry to do it? Should Harry have confided in Sarissa about his assignment?
Maeve’s “vajazzled” area: (view spoiler)
I think if it comes down to Harry or Maeve, he could kill her in self defense or in defense of others, otherwise no. I really don't think he should have told Sarissa.

8. Don’t you just love Toot-Toot?! But why does he keep growing? And what do you think about the Munstermobile?
Toot-Toot rocks! Maybe too much pizza - not really sure. I liked the munstermobile.

9. Not again!! I hope it doesn’t take the whole book for Harry’s friends to believe he is really Harry.
I hope not too!

12. Was it safe to talk in front of Toot-toot about Harry’s mission and the fact that Bob knows how to kill an immortal? I didn’t think it was safe! And how does Mab know that Bob knows?
I don’t think it was safe .He might just say something in front of the wrong person! Mab should have known about Bob and what’s his name ( that necromancer who had Bob before) and it was a given that he'd known about Halloween.

13. Harry is going to make a new vessel for Bob; any idea what it’s going to be? Or where? Do you think this will come into play in this book, or a future one?
I think it will be in demonreach

16. Who sent the other group of evil Little Folk to kill Harry? Was it significant that they had orange and red light instead of blue?
They could have something with the summer court .unlikely but a possibility ! red and orange are warm colours so …

23. If the attack is coming from the future, does this mean Harry has to do some time traveling? Or just get to the person before they can get to that future point
If it’s coming from the future he just needs to kill them in the present and they won’t live to get to that future point

24. Love this quote from Bob: “I respect the crap out of you!” LOL! I thought he handled Demonreach nicely. You?
Once he stopped being scared of demonreach and realized it needed him ,he handled him very well ! I just love Bob

25. Molly can do something about the parasite in Harry’s head? (As if the White Council knowing about Harry being a warren of Demonreach was enough of a headache.) Whoa. Harry’s been good about not putting things off, but I can’t help thinking he needs to do something about this sooner rather than later
Definitely sooner , I just wonder why the Parasite didn’t want Harry to know who it was.

Lauren (laurenjberman) Lauren's Answers to DQs for chapters 10-17

10. Andi and Butters!!! Woho. Go, Butters!

Yay for Butters. Wish we had a little more buildup to that relationship though :0)

11. I’m worried about Harry’s rage and his improper thoughts about Molly, at least he has controlled them so far. They must be the effects of being the Winter Knight; I hope they don’t get any worse!

Yesm it does seem that Harry is being affected by the mantle of the Winter Knight. At least he is aware of it and seems to be fighting it

12. Was it safe to talk in front of Toot-toot about Harry’s mission and the fact that Bob knows how to kill an immortal? I didn’t think it was safe! And how does Mab know that Bob knows?

I think that Toot-Toot is trustworthy. He wouldn't betray Harry - also was he even conscious at the time of the discussion?

13. Harry is going to make a new vessel for Bob; any idea what it’s going to be? Or where? Do you think this will come into play in this book, or a future one?

No idea what it will be but I do think that it will make an appearance sooner or later

14. Fun fact about trick-or-treating and what immortals do on Halloween! So, if they refuel on Halloween using other immortals, what do used immortals do? They have lost energy, haven’t they?

Perhaps they die... it is Halloween which is the only day they can die

I think it is some sort of test that Mab is putting Harry through to determine whether or not he can be trusted as the Winter Knight to do her bidding ... I think she is going to be disappointed!

16. Who sent the other group of evil Little Folk to kill Harry? Was it significant that they had orange and red light instead of blue?

I though that Maeve sent them ... no idea about the lights but it could represent the person they are associated with

Molly was definitely a little too prepared and she also seems to have gone from the rag lady to mentally able Molly in the blink of an eye.

Yes, I want to know what Molly did to earn the Svartalves assistance - it can't be anything good...

I don't think we have seen them before but I agree that we will be seeing them soon...

Loved the reunion too - they are so sweet together and their sibling banter is so cute!

Don't know who called Thomas - not sure it was Mab because I can't see a reason for her doing so. Maybe it was Maeve and she was setting Harry and Thomas up for something - kill two birds with one stone

19. The food and fire in the cottage on Demonreach; who did this and why?

Maybe the same person who called Thomas?

20. The runes that kept naagloshii out can also keep creatures like that inside! We know that the original Merlin created the island as a prison (building it once, at five different times, all at the same time), but when and how did he put all those creatures in there?

The whole time and 4 dimensions thing was very confusing and I just decided to go with the flow... I do have to wonder if Harry won't be doing some time travelling in this one...

21. Merlin was the first warden, but now there are many? Does that mean right now there are more than one or that there has been more than one throughout the existence of the Well?

Harry is now the Warden and there is only one. Perhaps he replaced the original Merlin or maybe there were others in between. If so, what happened to those other wardens?

22. Does it matter who is going to attack the island or just the fact that someone is attacking it is what’s important? Who do you think it is and why? It’s not going to release the creatures; the attack is going to trigger the fail-safe, and then everything goes BOOM! So, what's the point?

Perhaps whoever is doing it doesn't know that the fail-safe will be set off and just wants to release the prisoners in the Well. Regardless of who it is, Harry is going up against something very powerful.

23. If tghe attack is coming from the future, does this mean Harry has to do some time traveling? Or just get to the person before they can get to that future point?

I was wondering that too

24. Love this quote from Bob: “I respect the crap out of you!” LOL! I thought he handled Demonreach nicely. You?

Looks like Bob has finally met something that can keep him on his toes...

Demonreach seems to think that she can - perhaps it has something to do with her being an empath. Harry shouldn't put this off - that parasite does not have his best interests at heart!

Lauren (laurenjberman) @ShoSho

#8 - that is an excellent point. The more responsibilities he has, the bigger he gets physically.

#13 - Yes, but would that mean that Bob replaces Demonreach on the island?

#25 - Hmm.. that suggests that the parasite is somone Harry knows and would be able to get rid of more quickly if he knew...

10. Andi and Butters!!! Woho. Go, Butters!
LOL! Really. Go, Butters!

11. I’m worried about Harry’s rage and his improper thoughts about Molly, at least he has controlled them so far. They must be the effect of being the Winter Knight; I hope they don’t get any worse!
Yeah, I thought he’d make a great Winter Knight, but now I’m worried about the toll it will take on his kind and generous – and forgiving (to those he cares about) nature.

12. Was it safe to talk in front of Toot-toot about Harry’s mission and the fact that Bob knows how to kill an immortal? I didn’t think it was safe! And how does Mab know that Bob knows?
I was worried about this, too. I think the wee folk like to gossip. Toot-toot might let it out by mistake.

13. Harry is going to make a new vessel for Bob; any idea what it’s going to be? Or where? Do you think this will come into play in this book, or a future one?
I found this interesting. I think it will come into play in a future book.

14. Fun fact about trick-or-treating and what immortals do on Halloween! So, if they refuel on Halloween using other immortal, what do used immortals do? They have lost energy, haven’t they?
Maybe it is a food chain type of thing?

Could be. I don’t have another.

16. Who sent the other group of evil Little Folk to kill Harry? Was it significant that they had orange and red light instead of blue?
The practical side of me says Maeve sent them, but that is probably too obvious. So, I don’t know. Not sure about the eye color, as Evil Bob appeared in a cloud of red light, but his eyes were blue, right?

17. Lea had told Molly about Harry being alive; she was prepared for him with a big comfy apartment with a room for Harry! Something isn’t right; there is something fishy about the whole thing! Do you feel the same or is it just me? Who are these Svartalves? I can’t remember them from before! Do you think they’ll come back into the storyline?
Yes, I remember them being mention, if only because the ending sound like “owls.” According to Dresden Wiki (view spoiler)

Yes, it was touching. I like what Thomas said to him about being a monster. I haven’t a clue who called Thomas. Could be Mab. Good point about the timing; I didn’t pay attention to that.

19. The food and fire in the cottage on Demonreach; who did this and why?
The same person who called Thomas? ☺

20. The runes that kept naagloshii out can also keep creatures like that inside! We know that the original Merlin created the island as a prison (building it once, at five different times, all at the same time), but when and how did he put all those creatures in there?
Soon afterwards?

21. Merlin was the first warden, but now there are many? Does that mean right now there are more than one or that there has been more than one throughout the existence of the Well?
Beats me. Demonreach could have been talking about the simultaneous time thing.

22. Does it matter who is going to attack the island or just the fact that someone is attacking it is what is important? Who do you think it is and why? It’s not going to release the creatures; the attack is going to trigger the fail-safe, and then everything goes BOOM! So, what's the point?
Destruction of the human world?

23. If the attack is coming from the future, does this mean Harry has to do some time traveling? Or just get to the person before they can get to that future point?
I don’t know. Maybe Harry will time travel. We’ll see.

24. Love this quote from Bob: “I respect the crap out of you!” LOL! I thought he handled Demonreach nicely. You?
LMBO! Yes. It was great on the audio.

25. Molly can do something about the parasite in Harry’s head? (As if the White Council knowing about Harry being a warren of Demonreach was enough of a headache.) Whoa. Harry’s been good about not putting things off, but I can’t help thinking he needs to do something about this sooner rather than later.
Yes, Harry, do something NOW! Maybe that is what is making him testy.

#10.We saw the beginning of the relationship with that naked CPR and all!

#12.No he was conscious !I listened to this book 3 times :D

#13.I didn't mean the island itself but something from the island ,like the cottage or even something smaller .

#14.I like this theory !The used immortals could die!

Joann | 495 comments Discussion Questions for Chapters 10-17

10. Andi and Butters!!! Woho. Go, Butters!
I love it! Go Butters!

11. I’m worried about Harry’s rage and his improper thoughts about Molly, at least he has controlled them so far. They must be the effects of being the Winter Knight; I hope they don’t get any worse!
I hope not either, but I think it's an effect of being the Winter Knight. I'm hoping that Harry can keep it under control.

12. Was it safe to talk in front of Toot-toot about Harry’s mission and the fact that Bob knows how to kill an immortal? I didn’t think it was safe! And how does Mab know that Bob knows?
I love Toot-Toot, but I'm not all that comfortable with that discussion being had with him there.

13. Harry is going to make a new vessel for Bob; any idea what it’s going to be? Or where? Do you think this will come into play in this book, or a future one?
Not sure yet, but maybe in a future book.

14. Fun fact about trick-or-treating and what immortals do on Halloween! So, if they refuel on Halloween using other immortals, what do used immortals do? They have lost energy, haven’t they?
Somehow that's too creepy to think about.

A good point. I'm not sure why Mab wants Harry to kill Maeve, perhaps this is a test of some kind.

16. Who sent the other group of evil Little Folk to kill Harry? Was it significant that they had orange and red light instead of blue?
Maeve's too obvious a suspect. It could be Mab...or I'll go out on a limb...what about Sarissa? She's still an unknown factor.

Molly has matured greatly and has come a long way since the last book. I wonder just how much effect Lea has had on her. You're right though, something's off.

I loved that scene; Thomas' reaction was absolutely priceless! The timing was very suspicious.

19. The food and fire in the cottage on Demonreach; who did this and why?
I think it was the same person who called Thomas.

20. The runes that kept naagloshii out can also keep creatures like that inside! We know that the original Merlin created the island as a prison (building it once, at five different times, all at the same time), but when and how did he put all those creatures in there?
Probably soon after the island was created.

21. Merlin was the first warden, but now there are many? Does that mean right now there are more than one or that there has been more than one throughout the existence of the Well?
It could be.

22. Does it matter who is going to attack the island or just the fact that someone is attacking it is what’s important? Who do you think it is and why? It’s not going to release the creatures; the attack is going to trigger the fail-safe, and then everything goes BOOM! So, what's the point?
Not sure at this point. But one thing seems certain; a good deal of humanity would die it the island goes BOOM!

23. If the attack is coming from the future, does this mean Harry has to do some time traveling? Or just get to the person before they can get to that future point?
There may be some time traveling involved. Would be cool if there is.

24. Love this quote from Bob: “I respect the crap out of you!”LOL! I thought he handled Demonreach nicely. You?
I love listening to the audiobook. I thought it was funny how Bob was so petrified of Demonreach - Meep!

I certainly hope Molly can do something about the parasite. The sooner it gets out of Harry's head, the better!

Lauren (laurenjberman) @ShoSho

#10. Ah yes! Now I remember...

#12. Wow! You are really addicted ;0)

#13. Good point ... I just had another thought though. Wouldn't Bob's new container have to be something small enough for Harry to carry around with him like he does the skull?

Lauren (laurenjberman) @Joann,

#16. Maybe ... I'm still suspicious of her. There is more to her than meets the eye...

#24. Lol! I loved those "meeps" :0)

#15 – That is what I was thinking; a test.

#17 – I agree.

#24 – Meep! LMBO!

Lauren (laurenjberman) 26. Ack! Redcap and buddies on Jet Skis; for once Harry’s affect on technology pays off. LOL! But, Molly sleeping before Harry got to the Water Beetle and then again afterwards. Anything we need to worry about there?

That was a cool scene. I love how Harry's problems with technology finally worked in his favor.

Yes, I guess Molly was really tired after using her magic

27. BOOK QUOTE:

He snorted. “You mean, would I like to follow you around, wondering what the hell is going on because you won’t tell me everything, then get in a fight with something that is going to leave me in intensive care?”

“Uh-hun,” I said, nodding, “pretty much.”

“Yeah,” he said. “Okay.”

LOL! Love Thomas and Harry together.

You can always trust Thomas to be there in a pinch. I was just thinking that he is a much better and more accepting sidekick than Michael was at the beginning of the series.

28. Uh oh. Scary Lara Raith has been rejected by another man: Baron John Marcone. This has to have pissed her off. Still, she’s joined forces with him at the Brighter Future Society (AKA the Chicago Alliance) – against the Fomor (an ancient race of water-dwelling creatures). [Just getting my facts straight; seems like I need to read some of the short stories in-between the regular novels in this series.] Anyway, Lara wants into politics – and “total control.” That can’t be good, either. I think Harry needs to move her up his “To Do” list.

I so do not want Harry "to do" Lara *shudder*

Yes, I knew that Marcone had better taste than that. It would be very bad if Lara got her hooks into him and he is smart enough to know that.

It would so not be good for Lara to be more involved in larger political issues

29. Fix, the Summer Knight and Harry’s counterpart, has given Harry a deadline to get out of town: High Noon. (BTW, I had to look up Von Clausewitz; his magnum opus was On War.) I can’t say I blame Fix for no longer trusting Harry, despite Harry’s reassurances. What about Molly overhearing Harry & Thomas conversation? Does Harry have a choice? Comments.

While I understand where Fix is coming from, I was also a little disappointed in his ultimatum toward Harry. Harry has proven himself and I feel that Fix should have had more faith in him.

30. Man-oh-man! Harry’s instructions to Cat Sith have to be very, very specific. What do you think? By swiping the doorman, was he playing ‘cat and mouse’ with Harry, or being the ‘perfect gentleman’?

Like all the fae, you have to be very specific with your instructions. I think that Cat Sith was simply behaving in accordance with his fae nature. It would never occur to him on his own not to that.

31. Could you guess from the “Doughnut Man” reference who Harry was meeting at Mac’s? What did you think of Harry’s conversation with Donar Vadderung (AKA Odin, the Allfather)? And his last cryptic comment? Does it make sense that Harry has to be the one to do it, since it is Harry’s island?

Yes, the reference was very good :0)

Very insightful conversation and I like the fact that Odin seems to have faith in Harry.

Yes, the island is Harry's (he made the choice to connect with it) so it is his responsibility.

32. While I did enjoy Thomas clarifying to Molly that he wasn’t Harry’s ‘flunky’ but his ‘thug,’ what about that interesting observation of Thomas’ about Harry looking at Molly like she is ‘prey’? What of Harry’s feelings of possessiveness, lust, territoriality that all go with the mantel of the Winter Knight? Will he be able to control these? Thoughts.

If anyone would know about predator and prey, it would be Thomas. Harry should listen to him about this.

Those feelings are definitely associated with is being the Winter Knight and he needs to fight them because if he succumbs, he will be lost and will turn into the monster he fears becoming

33. Sharkface (AKA “Spanky”) calls to Harry while he’s on Accorded Neutral Ground. That in itself seems suspicious. And all that mist? (Plus – ugh – no eyes!) What did you thing of the psychic assault and what was with Harry’s fist turning to ice?

Those Outsiders are really creepy! According to Mac, there are three of them in Chicago. I wonder if "He Who Walks Behind" is one of them?

It seems that the Outsiders are not signatories to the Accords so they can ignore the neutral ground - it is bad that they are not bound by the same rules as the everyone else.

It was interesting that Harry could shake off the assault while Mac and Thomas couldn't. I wonder what the two of them saw while under the influence.

I though the fist of ice was part of his powers as the Winter Knight. It will probably come in handy when we get to the final showdown.

34. Okay, so here’s what we know:

a) Sharkface is an Outsider.
b) There are more of these super-mega-überaliens (at least three).
c) Harry is clueless as to their motivation for plans of a jailbreak at the Well.
d) It knew Mac?
Any theories on all these?

b) My theory is in DQ #33.

c) Are we sure it is the Outsiders who are behind the jaibbreak? f so, I guess they want to release their brothers from the Well. I'm also not sure they realize that there is a fail-safe.

d) Yes, it does. I'm even more curious about Mac now. Sharkface calls him a Watcher. Is that like the Watcher's on Buffy?

35. Harry meets with Lily, the Summer Lady, at the Botanic Gardens of Chicago and he once more starts challenging Lloyd Slate-like urges; he suppresses them, but Lily still notices. Here I’ll admit I’m really confused; why didn’t Lily detect the parasite in Harry’s brain? Is Harry’s different? Not a poison – a ‘spiritual malady’ or ‘mental plague’ – like what affected Victor Sells (Storm Front), Agent Denton (Fool Moon), and Leonid Kravos (Grave Peril)?

I think that the parasite in Harry's brain is not the same thing as the contagion that is spreading in the supernatural community and that is why Lily couldn't sense it.

I'm not sure that I like the idea of this "spiritual malady" infecting people. It takes away the responsibility that these characters had for their evil actions. If their behavior was a result of mental disease then Sells, Denton and Kravos were not to blame for the things they did. Blaming it all on some evil entity is an irritating cop out and diminishes the importance of free will and knowing right from wrong. I really hate it when authors do this or decide to redeem an evil character! OK rant over :0)

36. Maeve shows up?! MAEVE shows up?! Yes, I’m incredulous. I don’t trust her AT ALL. Together she and Lily say that Mab is infected by this ‘contagion’ – remember, supposedly they can’t lie – and that Mab is set on destroying the mortal world! In addition, it all involves Harry’s island. Plus, Mab has spread this contagion to Lea, Harry’s godmother, during her imprisonment in Arctis Tor. Hmmm… What do you think?

I don't trust Maeve either but it does seem like she and Lily are on the up and up on this, especially because they can't lie. It also explains Mab's weird behavior over the last few books and how Lea said she helped Mab (if I'm remembering correctly).

It looks like Mab knew about the fail-safe on the Island and that is why she manipulated Demonreach into letting her on supposedly to help Harry.

I don't think that Harry will kill Mab like Maeve and Lily want - Maeve would be much worse to work for than Mab. That fae has NO scruples whatsoever. I think Harry is going to find some sort of cure for the contagion.

37. Then Ace shows up and clubs Harry. What a place to stop.

That Ace is a real scumbag. I hope he gets his just desserts!

#32 – I liked that scene, too. I think the You make a good point about the Winter Knight’s mantle, which is why Fix feels the way he does.

#33 – Good reminder about the Accords. I wonder who Mac & Thomas saw, too!

#34c – No, not sure! At all! LOL!

#34d – I didn’t watch that show.

#35 – True. Begs the question about what Uriel said about “free will” in the previous book.

#36 – It would be neat if Harry found a cure.

26. Ack! Redcap and buddies on Jet Skis; for once Harry’s affect on technology pays off. LOL! But, Molly sleeping before Harry got to the Water Beetle and then again afterwards. Anything we need to worry about there?
hmm it didn't stand out for me so I'd say no! What I found interesting was Harry’s explanation about why Red cap’s magic doesn’t affect the Jet skis because I was just thinking about why the fairies magic doesn’t make jet skis explode!

27. BOOK QUOTE:
He snorted. “You mean, would I like to follow you around, wondering what the hell is going on because you won’t tell me everything, then get in a fight with something that is going to leave me in intensive care?”
“Uh-hun,” I said, nodding, “pretty much.”
“Yeah,” he said. “Okay.”
LOL! Love Thomas and Harry together.
me too! Best book brothers ever

I think Harry needs to move her up his “To Do” list.
I have a feeling someone else is going to help him do that! But not in this book.

Comments.
No I don’t blame him either

30. Man-oh-man! Harry’s instructions to Cat Sith have to be very, very specific. What do you think? By swiping the doorman, was he playing ‘cat and mouse’ with Harry, or being the ‘perfect gentleman’?
I think it’s kinda funny the way he follows Harry orders and he doesn’t know the meaning of perfect gentleman !

31. Could you guess from the “Doughnut Man” reference who Harry was meeting at Mac’s? What did you think of Harry’s conversation with Donar Vadderung (AKA Odin, the Allfather)? And his last cryptic comment? Does it make sense that Harry has to be the one to do it, since it is Harry’s island?
no I thought he was leaving a message for the eldest gruff at first.
Very cryptic “maybe you’ve already done it” I just want to know what he meant by it .it makes perfect sense for Harry to be the one to do it. He is connected to the island he came back to life there , so he owes it to demonreach

Thoughts.
I just don’t want him to be the WK

One good thing came out of him being the WK, Mac’s didn’t caught fire !!
It reminded me of those bad ghosts in Ghost story

34. Okay, so here’s what we know:
a) Sharkface is an Outsider.
b) There are more of these super-mega-überaliens (at least three).
c) Harry is clueless as to their motivation for plans of a jailbreak at the Well.
d) It knew Mac?

none at all I'll think about before going to bed tonight

35. Harry meets with Lily, the Summer Lady, at the Botanic Gardens of Chicago and he once more starts challenging Lloyd Slate-like urges; he suppresses them, but Lily still notices. Not a poison – a ‘spiritual malady’ or ‘mental plague’ – like what affected Victor Sells (Storm Front), Agent Denton (Fool Moon), and Leonid Kravos (Grave Peril)?
I'm confused too but I'm going to think they are 2 different things until we know otherwise! Do you think any of Harry’s friends are infected?

36. Maeve shows up?! MAEVE shows up?! Yes, I’m incredulous. I don’t trust her AT ALL. Together she and Lily say that Mab is infected by this contagion – remember, supposedly they can’t lie – and she is set on destroying the mortal world! In addition, it all involves Harry’s island. Plus, Mab has spread this contagion to Lea, Harry’s godmother, during her imprisonment in Arctis Tor. Hmmm… What do you think?
I don't trust her at all . She's even worse than Mab! I wouldn't believe everything the ladies told Harry. But at least we know 2 things. Mab could be the one who is going to blast the island and she wants to kill Maeve because she knows Mab is infected.
Molly could be infected too, she's been working with Lea all this time.

one thing I thought of : what if it's Maeve that is infected and Mab knows it and wants to kill her!

But seriously after reading 14 books in the series , I have learned not to think about what's going on too hard and just go with it! It's never exactly what I thought it would be !

37. Then Ace shows up and clubs Harry. What a place to stop.
I can't remember if it was Merrill or Harry who let him go but they shouldn't have. They should have killed him when they ha the chance.

41. Butters has a theory about pain and the Winter Knight’s mantel: Harry is still paralyzed from the waist down, he just can’t feel it! And later, when he denies Winter Law, Harry suspects this is true. Eep! Just when we thought Harry was alright. What does this mean for him, if he ever gets out from under the Winter Knight’s mantel?
That he would need a miracle to walk? I don’t know !The angles didn’t help him the last time , there is no reason they would help him this time!

42. Will Harry’s blood that was left behind going to come into play later?
I really hope not

43. Murphy is struggling, she is not coping well; she wanted Harry to return Bob to Butters. That talk between them, and what happened when Harry got angry about her not divulging where the Swords of the Cross will be kept, was intense. What did you think when Murphy said, “I work with a lot of monsters these days”? Very interesting, right?
It doesn’t matter what he would become ,he is always her friend !I hope that’s what she meant .

45. Boat rentals have gone up in the last day; are people are going to the island? I searched the Internet for Curse of the Billy Goat & the Chicago Cubs. A very interesting story, but did you understand Harry’s reply to it?
Thanks LK , for clarifying that 

46. What happened to Harry when he defied Winter Law was very scary! However, what with all the training he’s gone through, why doesn’t he know the Law? Or is this part of Mab’s evil plan
Very good point! Maybe Mab didn’t let him know the laws so he would make mistakes !

47. Toot-toot’s saying, “Wow!” over Lacuna (who is working for Ace); clearly he’s smitten. We’ve got a potential for a miniaturized Romeo & Juliet; will this crush end as tragically? Or will it just be a case of unrequited love? Lucuna doesn’t like pizza or candy? Celery? Is she on a diet?
Poor Toot-toot is in love !I hope it doesn’t end tragically for Toot!
It seems that she is a fan of healthy eating! Did you notice that as the leader of the other Little Folks she is the same size as Toot-toot?

48. Harry summoned Tatiana for help and meets her at the Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary. (See gorgeous pics below.) I didn’t understand Tatiana’s explaining her grief over Aurora’s death; aren’t the Ladies’ and Queens’ mantles transferable? Why was she questioning Harry about his views on the gay lifestyle? It made me wonder if she is a ‘queen in drag,’ and also making me doubt ‘she’ and Aurora are really mother and daughter. Luckily for Harry, Eldest Gruff, Tatiana’s champion, has been giving her some grief counseling. Thoughts on any of these things.
LMAO !Queen in drag?! ?:D No I don’t think she is a drag or Aurora had been her lover but thanks for the laugh! :D

49. Nemisis: who or what is it? What did Tatiana mean by it being “aware”? Despite her warning not to say its name, you just knew Harry was going to, right?
At this point I really don’t have any idea about it!

51. Mother Summer was nicer than Mother Winter, but Harry was still in a precarious situation. What did you make of the reverence with which Mother Summer handled the cracked clay pot? What about the stuff written on the other pots? Wormwood (is that Harry’s parasite? or Mab’s contagion?), which is also calledApsinthos in the Book of Revelation, a star that falls upon Earth and poisons a third part of the waters?
I’m thinking this Nemesis is going to bring all these diseases to earth if it succeeds in doing whatever it is trying to do?! Very cryptic stuff

52. If Harry doesn’t kill Maeve, he’ll end up like Slate, with Mab around. If he does kill Mab, he’ll end up Maeve’s plaything, without Mab around! Not good either way. If he kills Maeve, the adversary will chose an infected person to be the new Winter Lady! Yikes! Comments.
He should kill both Maeve and Mab and freezes whoever gets their mantles (otherwise what’s the point of killing them ,their replacement will be just like them in a few years !) and let Rashid take care of the outer gates!

53. BOOK QUOTES: “Winter is cold, Sir Knight, but never so cold that it freezes the heart altogether.” Well, at least Harry still has a chance to stay himself as the Winter Knight. Even if, “All Knights, Winter and Summer, have that chance. Most fail.”
I hope he doesn’t stay the Winter Knight !it doesn’t suit him even if he stays himself !

54. And what’s with all the speaking in riddles? Did you get them all? Did any stand out?
As I said these chapters were very cryptic and hard to get and follow! I had to listen to it for a second time to get it

55. Whoa. What did you think of the borders of Faerie?
I wasn’t expecting that, things just got ten times more complicated!

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments Shosho's answers Discussion Questions for Chapters 34-43

56. Rashid, AKA the Gatekeeper, is the keeper of Outer Gates and the White Council doesn’t know about it. Why doesn’t he tell them? His eye ( of the same crystal as the gates and the wall) gets disguised in the presence of other people. Is this because someone could guess its ability?
I think he doesn’t trust them enough not to interfere with it.They’ll probably want to take over . It’s possible that there are other wizards who have seen the walls and Rashid doesn’t want them to realize that he is the gate keeper

57. Why couldn’t Harry take a piece of the wall to look through and detect the parasite in other’s people head?
It sounded very doable to me ,I don’t why it didn’t occur to him!

58. Is it possible that Rashid has been the island Warden before? He told Harry that he knew precisely what he was going through. Or was he just referring to his role at the Outer Gates?
Yes he could be referring to being the keeper of the outer gates too!

59. What are the significances in the things Rashid told Harry?:
• “And there were several of us who were friends of Ebenezar who… took it upon ourselves to watch over her.” (Harry’s mother, Margaret LeFey.)She’s been a wild thing and had needed people to watch over her and there other people who knew about Harry and Ebenezer relationship

• “…to say nothing of the problems you’ve created for yourself that you haven’t found out about yet.”
I still don’t know what he meant by that

• “Would you be offended if I called you Harry?” (That was a weird question, right?)huh?

• “You get used to it.” - To what? This is a pep talk?
• “What we need is you. You have what you have for a reason.”
• “Unwitting or not, virtually your every action in the past few years has resulted in a series of well-placed thumbs in the adversary’s eye.”
• “Go back to Chicago,” he said, turning away, “and keep being yourself.”Jump to action without thinking it through :D

• He’ll help Harry with “paperwork”?!

60. Redcap has beaten Sarissa and made her his messenger; do you feel any differently about her now? Her message: Redcap has also taken Butters, Andi, Justine and Mac. Why them? And why doesn’t Cat Sith come when called. Interesting.
No I didn’t think she was a bad person from the start but I thought Mab has something over her ,she might not be completely trustworthy !
All of them made sense expect Mac
I thought maybe Mab has receded her command to him and he doesn’t have to follow Harry’s commands!

61. Harry’s having more of those violent and sexual urges associated with the Winter Knight mantel and Molly is picking up on the “pressure.” Is he getting better at identifying they’re NOT his and controlling them? She mentions giving things “freely” to him. Man-oh-man! She has it bad. What did you think of his response to her towards the end of Chapter 36?
I think he is getting better at identifying them but they are getting stronger!
The way he said I thought there might be a chance for them! And I thought is it her first time EVER?

62. Yay! Mouse and Harry reunite. And a little levity. I, for one, needed it.
Yep me too! And I liked that Molly can read Mouse,Lea probably had taught her to do it . I remember Lea told Harry that it could be done.
Found it :

“You can talk. How come I never hear you talk?”
“Because you don’t know how to listen,” my godmother said simply

63. They get to the warehouse and Harry mentions a previous job [from the short story “Backup” (Side Jobs)] that left Harry with more than a few questions. Why is this mentioned? To promote the sale of the book, or because it has significance?
I thought it was to show that Harry doesn’t always know everything .He still think it was the bad guy who did the ritual thingy and Thomas never told him what had really happened

64. Whoa. Were you as impressed as Harry with the shapeshifting falcon-Sidhe?
Pah ,Injun Joe can do better !

65. Okay, Harry knows it’s a trap, but goes anyway to save his friends; Redcap shoots him with a dart that causes him to continuously bleed. Harry losing blood like that can’t be good. What do you think? Is it just for tracking him?
I guess it is ,it doesn’t matter where he goes he leaves a trail behind !

66. Whoa again. Harry creates a mini-iceberg to save them all from drowning after the warehouse explodes. He has some serious power. Comments.
Some serious icy powers

67. A nice summation on why Redcap hates Harry. Boats, boats, and more boats! Well, these would make sense. Right?
yep it does and it’s not good at all

68. Thomas says he’s not letting Justine out of his sight. I can’t say as I blame him. He tells Harry that life’s too short. Again, I agree. You?
Harry really needs to listen to Thomas on this !

69. Harry addresses both Sarissa and Mac and tells them that he doesn’t trust them; therefore, he’s going to take them with him. Good idea, or bad?
I wasn’t sure at the time I was listening to it whether it was good or bad but I probably would have done the same

70. Murphy (who now has a Harley!) confronts Harry about not seeing Maggie. This triggers what the Mothers were trying to tell him; that Mab, like him, couldn’t see her daughter in pain. Think he’s got it?
Didn’t she always had a Harley? I think she did. And finally we know the queens and ladies are really mother and daughters !

71. I’m glad Harry got a longcoat again; that was sweet of Molly. Do you think she gave it any special powers that Harry doesn’t know about, yet? And Murphy decides all this is not the Swords’ fight, considering what happened to Michael last time. Do you agree with her?
I thought so too . I don’t think she had the time to do it ! I agree with Murphy

72. The Wild Hunt! On Halloween night Harry put a bullet into the Erlking! Kringle is unhorsed! BOOK QUOTE: “Join, hide, or die.” Harry is in charge?! Well, I hadn’t seen that coming. Did you? The moon is azure blue, too; but, despite Harry’s theories, I have no idea who’s bending time. Do you?
Me neither! at all!!! No ,probably whoever has called the Outsider and I have no idea who

73. There was an all-out amphibious assault at Demonreach to greet Harry, along with Sharkface. Karrin gives Harry a Star Wars kiss for luck before they split up. Comments?
Finallyyyyyy

74. Harry survives the psychic whammy from Sharkface and discovers his name: “Walker, He-Who-Walks-Before.” We’ve met his kin. How much you want to bet the third one is named: “Walker, He-Who-Walks-Besides”? Still, that mental landscape – where Mab was torturing Harry – was a little too much for me. (I wonder what Murphy experienced?) Did anything stand out to you?
hahaha I like “Walker, He-Who-Walks-Besides” ! The Outsider was trying make him believe he was weak by having “weak” carved on his skin.I think it shows the Outsiders are afraid of his strength

75. Murphy was pretty slick using that grenade to take out the tug, but then Cat Sith appears. Or is that really him?
I thought it was really him but I had no idea why he was acting against Harry

Lauren (laurenjberman) Lauren's Answers to DQs for chapters 26-33

38. Yay! Murphy showed up to save Harry. No question here, just a, “Hurrah!” ☺

I was getting worried that Murphy would be a no show in this book. So glad that she turned up and right in the nick of time!

39. Ace is Redcap’s changeling son! Not a lot of fatherly love going there. Can Harry use this to his advantage later on?

Ace does seem to have some resentment toward his father so I think that Harry may be able to make use of it at some point

40. Cat Sith taking out the Redcap’s lickspittles one by one was a bit spooky.

Cat Sith definitely comes in handy. The question is whether he is doing it because he is under Mab's orders to serve Harry or because he is beginning to respect him

It looks like Harry will not be getting out from under the Winter Mantle unless Mab releases him ... unless he wants to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair :0(

42. Will Harry’s blood that was left behind going to come into play later?

Knowing JB, it probably will...

This was a great scene. Murphy is struggling with Harry being back and she is worried that he might be corrupted by the Winter Mantle. Nevertheless, she is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I love her character!

44. Someone has to call in the Outsider; someone is going to blow up the island; Mab is protecting the borders from Outsiders; Sharkeface is one of the three Outsiders that had been called into this world; the Black Council is possibly just another pawn. Lara Raith and Murphy’s Viking squad are back-ups to Harry’s plan to find the ritual site and wreck it. Comments on any of these.

To me, the most interesting aspect was the possibility that the Black Council is just another manifestation of the contagion. Does this mean that Peabody was also infected?

45. Boat rentals have gone up in the last day; are people are going to the island? I searched the Internet for Curse of the Billy Goat & the Chicago Cubs. A very interesting story, but did you understand Harry’s reply to it? (view spoiler)

Sorry, I'm South African and we play cricket! Actually watching the T20 World Cup final as I type this

46. What happened to Harry when he defied Winter Law was very scary! However, what with all the training he’s gone through, why doesn’t he know the Law? Or is this part of Mab’s evil plan?

It is possible that Mab is deliberately keeping Harry in the dark regarding Winter Law - maybe there is a loophole in there about getting rid of the Winter Mantle

She is so adorable! I love how Toot-Toot reacts to her :0)

I wonder who she's working for. I didn't get the impression that it was Ace?! Did I miss something?

I didn't understand the off-topic discussion on gay rights either. Maybe JB is simply taking the opportunity to present his position?

Yes, the Mantles are transferable but that doesn't mean that Aurora is reincarnated into Lily. Aurora was Titania's daughter but Lily isn't.

I knew I liked the Elder Gruff for a reason...

49. Nemisis: who or what is it? What did Tatiana mean by it being “aware”? Despite her warning not to say its name, you just knew Harry was going to, right?

In the words of Albus Dumbledore: "Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself"

No idea who or what it is though.

50. Mother Winter’s summoning didn’t go well; the names he called her with – Athropos and Skuld – are goddesses in mythology (one of the three Fates, the ones who cut the thread; meaning one of the three Moirai who controlled the metaphorical thread of life of every mortal from birth to death). Thank goodness for Harry’s freewill & soulfire: what a combo. Did anything else stand out to you in this encounter?

It was interesting. If the Winter Mother is Athropos does that make the Summer Mother Clotho?

I really liked the fact that Harry's tendency toward insubordination works in his favor ... he never allows someone else's will to overcome his own...

51. Mother Summer was nicer than Mother Winter, but Harry was still in a precarious situation. What did you make of the reverence with which Mother Summer handled the cracked clay pot? What about the stuff written on the other pots? Wormwood (is that Harry’s parasite? or Mab’s contagion?), which is also called Apsinthos in the Book of Revelation, a star that falls upon Earth and poisons a third part of the waters?

I'm worried about the mothers having access to all of those terrible diseases ... what are they planning on doing with them?

I just finished the last book in Larissa Ione's Lords of Deliverance series and it mentions Wormwood as well ... it seems to get around, lol!

Yikes! Comments.

Looks like Harry is in a lose-lose situation. Doomed if he does and doomed if he doesn't ... I wonder how he's going to get out of this one...

53. BOOK QUOTES: “Winter is cold, Sir Knight, but never so cold that it freezes the heart altogether.” Well, at least Harry still has a chance to stay himself as the Winter Knight. Even if, “All Knights, Winter and Summer, have that chance. Most fail.”

This is good news. Harry has a huge heart and didn't Uriel say that love would save him...

54. And what’s with all the speaking in riddles? Did you get them all? Did any stand out?

I think I will have to listen to this section again...

55. Whoa. What did you think of the borders of Faerie?

This is bad. It makes me wonder if it was the Outsiders who attacked Arctis Tor in Proven Guilty

#56 – Ah!

#57 – I agree.

#60 – Regarding Mac, I agree…and hmmmmmm…

#61 – Oh, my! I didn’t think about her being a virgin, but I bet you’re right. Yes, I’m thinking Harry was opening the door here for her – for the first time.

#62 – Huh? I didn’t understand what you wrote.

#63 – Ah!

#64 – LMBO!

#69 – True. I didn’t see him having much of a choice.

#70 – She did! Really? I totally missed that.

#73 – LMBO!

#76 – I don't think it is him.

#38 – Yup!

#41 – I know! Yikes!

#43 – Yes, very realistic.

#44 – Oh! Oh! Oh! Good question.

#46 – Ah ha! I hadn’t thought of that. You’re so clever, Lauren.

#47 – You know, I’m not sure who she’s working for. She is just too cute.

#49 – Great book reference.

#50 – Could be she’s Clotho. Nothing about it on Wiki, but that doesn’t mean anything.

#51 – Oh! I was thinking they were protecting them. Or at least decreeing when to release them.

#53 – Ah, yes. Uriel did say that.

#54 – You and me both. I had to listen to it again. And, really, I should repeat it, now that I finished the book.

#55 – Love the way your brain works.

#55 - Thanks! Sometimes I scare myself though ... Lol!

#70.Yes and this wasn't the first time Harry sat behind her! The earliest mention of it I could find on the internet is in Blood Rites!
