Group Get-together 2014 that was!

I'm hoping to make it but I'm still phaffing and vacillating about whether or not I can come. I won't have any new or interesting books to bring to the party but in the absence of the Biggleswade festival I might manage to give Will a spin in the Lotus this time.

I would really like to come, but I want to visit Mental Dave for a few days afterwards, and getting to him from Biggleswade is a bit complicated. Is there anyone who can give me a lift afterwards to Milton Keynes where I can get the train up to visit Dave? Or anywhere on that train line would do...

This could be interesting: I've just set up paperbacks for both First Day and First Case, one is through FeedARead and the other is through Createspace. It'll be a sort of bake-off...

HOPEFULLY they'll both be available by the get together, so it should be an interesting comparison (both books have the same page count and the same print options)

I'm on for the meet but all I have to bring is a few bookmarks and 3 copies of the second book, if anyone wants one. And some post cards and fridgemagnets and stuff.... but you've all got those already.

(I did order some more copies of book 1 but I don't think they'll arrive on time).

I've 10 copies of book 1 on order but they probably won't get here in time. I will bring the car but it's very dirty. I must try and give it some sponge love first.

Stu, have you done the bbc short thing. They want lyrical, powerful stuff and judging by the stories they have on there it'll be right up your alley. It's opening lines. They want a 1,900 - 2,000 word short.
