The Bone Collector - Thoughts....

I am about half-way through this book, and i like the story, i like the crime and figuring out the PE. However, after coming from a James Patterson book, i was expecting to be SUCKED right into the story, and held until the end. I find myself having highs and lows about this book. Do I like Rhyme? Yeah.... but i do think the story would have been more exciting if he wasn't stuck in bed.... If all the books in the series are about him bossing others around while just laying there... i dont know if i will be into it... but we shall see... lots more to go....

Lol no Ebo this isn't Patterson and not fair to compare....I like this far. I didn't no that much can be left behind at a crime scene that's crazy. I feel very sorry for rhymes having all that knowledge and can't do nutn but lay in the bed...I can't imagine the torture that is being confined in ur own body completely helpless and dependent upon other to feed u or sumtn as simple as scratchn ur nose.

I didn't read the book but saw the movie. Not an author I would pick up to read too often. I read The Stone Monkey years ago after the Bone Collector movie. Wasn't bad, but still not a enjoyable read all the way through.

I agree slightly Liza. I think this would be a great series if the series started off before his accident. Now understand... i have not completed this book, or have i read or heard about the rest of the series. But maybe after this book the next book will take us back to before the accident? Who knows... i think Detective Rhyme would have been a GREAT detective before the accident. I guess the story will only tell...

Wonder if he ends up killing himself.
