My favorite of Sea Breeze series so far is Because of Low. But I also like Cage for his persistence to Eva in While It Last.
Because of Low was amazing. I loved While it Last too. However, Preston's book was good, it let me down a tiny bit. Still flew through it and enjoyed it though. And can you believe I've read them all except the new one and the first one. I haven't read Breathe yet.
What? how can you read all of the series except the first one? Marcus from Because of Low was introduced in Breathe. Yes, book 4, Preston's story was quite let me down too.
I know it's wild, huh? I really need to read Breathe. I might wait though, till the last one comes out and pick up Breathe at the very end. Then again, if amazon would ever put it back on sale...I'd snatch up quick.
I am curious about this book sense it is like a "true" sequel -- and not some body else's story.
Yes, I feel that way too. It's still Cage and Eva story so it really is a sequel of While It Lasts.I think it's better for you to read Breathe before
since Jason is Jax's younger brother. So you get to know him since the first time he is introduced to the series :DI didn't quite like book 4 because it seems only have sex in it without so much story.
That's a good point actually. I havent met Jax or Jason at all hardly. Maybe just a brief scene or two.And...agreed. Some parts of it were just too far fetched. Like I totally dont believe that he forgot they slept together...cause he thought it was a dream.
But his little siblings were precious.
Actually I'm curious of Misbehaving since it's kind of the opposite from other Abbi Glines books. Jason is a good guy who meet bad girl :) So yeah, I suggest you to read Breathe after Sometimes It Lasts and before Misbehaving.
Yes, it's already November 18th here. I'm going to start now on my way to office but will manage only a couple of chapters, then continue it tonight :)
It's still the 17th here. But I thought I'd go ahead and pick it up tonight, and read a couple chapters too.
That prologue was soooooo good! Engaged with a baby coming! I can't even.... Didn't realize she was going to be pregnant in part of this book.
Yup...makes me want to read the rest of the book ASAP :) but too bad I have to stop on chapter 8 since I'm in the office now.
I'm just on two. but it's nice seeing all my favorite people having a fish fry together. I forgot how much I love these characters. And it does make me wanna read the rest of the book asap!
I want to know your opinion of what I mentioned above about something on chapter 4. I like reading about Marcus and Low again, moreover now they (view spoiler) and kind of miss Jax and Sadie but I didn't miss Amanda and Preston since I didn't quite like their story :)
Okay, I'm at Chapter 5 now. And I'm enjoying this a lot. I will say that, and this is overly critical but it keeps bugging me, that a lot of things seem repetitive or redundant. Like (view spoiler) But I know the author is just trying to give the reader some history. And I think it bugs me, cause I just want to skip that (since I already know it) and dive into the meat.As for your question. (view spoiler)
I loved seeing them all interact again. I don't know Jax and Sadie, but it's on the list ;p And I didn't love Preston and Amanda's story, but I still enjoyed it. And it's cool to see playboy Preston settled down. And of course Marcus and Low! (view spoiler)
Super agree with the repetitive part! I feel it too, though I didn't skip it, it kind of bug me. Makes me think that Eva is quite whiny especially on chapter 6 or 7, I forgot, when (view spoiler). I felt like I want to tell her "enough already, I get what you mean! :D
I didn't skip it either -- just kinda wanted too ;pAnd exactly, I just wanta be like...enough..I get what you are saying. I'm sure it's good for those diving straight into this book without reading the others though. But ahh...it bug me.
Yes...I kinda wanted too :DDon't you feel Cage is (view spoiler) in chapter 8? I mean she helped him and was quite nice to him but then I can't believe he treated her like that in the next morning, though again I understand his reason don't want to make a friendship with her, but still I think it's rude.
Just got to that part -- and he was very rude. I'm like you -- I understand why -- but it was rude. It cracked me up when she said (view spoiler)Also, (view spoiler)
I feel like I'm being over critical of this book. But I am ALSO really enjoying it!! I cannot look away, but I am going to have to put it down soon. It's super late here.Okay so this moment in chapter 10 ---> (view spoiler)
Rachmi wrote: "I'm guessing [spoilers removed]"I think so too. And...
I'd really like it if those two ended up together. I like her a lot too so far.
I can't view your spoiler now since I'm only on chapter 8 this morning but will post my progress later while you're sleeping :DI think after book #3, While It Lasts, I'm more critical to this series. That's why I won't read another series from Abbi Glines soon.
Jenna wrote: "Okay so this moment in chapter 10 ---> [spoilers removed]"Agree with you, the whole breakfast scene was ridicolous to me. I wonder whether the author or other readers think it was sweet while we think it was the opposite.
I'm on chapter 12 now. Gosh....I thought Eva and Cage will pass speaking repetitive things but I don't think they will do it soon. I really want to skip it! They are being too emo!
I've Bout 30% left. Then we can chat about it. Also, I met Sadie a bit. And I'm curious about book 1
Yes, Sadie is engage now. I'm kind of miss her and Jax. I think book 1 is the sweetest and lighter than other books from the series.
Hey! I finished. But have to dash off to my night Stats class. I'll message you on here when I get back. But I will say that I really enjoyed that last 20% even though a lot of this book frustrated me throughout.
Okay, talk to you soon - ish.
Okay, good luck with your stats class. Does stats mean statistic? I had a statistic class when I was in uni and kinda hate it :)
Yeah, statistic. I dont like it. But did well on my last exam :)So this book.... I have mixed feelings. You didnt enjoy it?
The ending made me happy. And that was funny in your chapter 17 spoiler.
And i didn't even think about your spoiler in 25 ---- but that is great point. And does seem dangerous!!
I know right? Maybe the author think it's romantic while I think it's a bad move, if not dangerous. What if (view spoiler)Agree with you, the last few chapters was quite good, but I don't know....when I think it's as a whole story, I didn't quite like it. I think mostly were because the repetitive things and there were things that kinda silly to me, just like in chapter 25.
How about you? what mixed feeling did you get?
Very good point. It did seem romantic. (view spoiler)The beginning was good. The middle frustrated me to no end. And was so REPETITIVE. And just kinda feel flat for me in the angst department. It kinda bugged me that she was mad at him, he was mad at her. And it went on like that for so long. Especially with her (view spoiler)
But the end was soooo good. The last 20% was pretty dang good though. And reminded me of why I enjoy Glines. Even though Preston's book wasn't my favorite seeing him, and his family interact (view spoiler) was one of my favorite parts.
And I still want Jeremy to have a book! And a HEA.
Hehehe, you aren't the only one who wants Jeremy has his own book! I want he gets HEA too :DI also liked that (view spoiler).
The repetitive things was what mostly bugged me. I mean, when I read second part of the book, I thought it won't happen again but it still happened and not only from Eva but also from Cage, (view spoiler)
And although I was quite liked the last 20%, (view spoiler)
