Would it be called: 'The Way of the White Clouds' by Lama Anagarika Govinda?

Oh OK, sorry about that.
But, I'll keep searching. =D

It is an excellent sentence.
It is an excellent sentence.

iiLov3Yuhh!! - Can't know for sure until I read it but I think you may have cracked it! Definitely sounds closer to what I remember, and I know Morpurgo is known for his excellent children's books. I can't wait to give it a read to find out for sure. The 'cloud forest' definitely seems familiar. Thanks!

ohh ur welcome! & I'm glad, it was killing me too. I just HAD to solve it! =)
Dace--be sure to come back and let us know if that IS the correct book. We all love a shelved mystery-no-more book.

Dace, I've moved it down to children's/YA solved for you. If, after you get a copy of the book, it turns out to NOT be the correct book, come back in, click on the little green EDIT button at the end of the title/description of your thread. Then select Unsolved to move the thread back up here, and say that it wasn't the correct book and we'll all get back into digging through the stacks mode.

so was that the correct book or not? have you read it yet? well, if you haven't, maybe you can so here: https://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/lo...
I think the main characters were a man, and a young woman (or man?), though I'm not 100% sure. The younger party was definitely the most interested in the yetis. I think they were there exploring, or on an expedition, I don't think they were hunting for yetis per se. It may have had 'Cloud' in the title, and I'm pretty sure there was a cloudy mountain picture on the cover.
It was definitely a novel, not a 'factual' book. I remember it being a fairly slim book.
Sorry this was so vague, I'm hoping someone can help! Thanks.
