Master of Crows by Grace Draven Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater

Sorry i'am not interested in reading the host I keep forgetting to take it of my list. And the second book I still don't have a copy of it. If you wouldn't mind could you pick 2 more books please and could you pick them from my owned shelf that would be better.

Hi Vendea. Cinder is fine with me but would you be able to pick something else as well please? I only ask this because when I've requested this book from my local library it's taken absolute weeks for it to come in (I was meant to read this book this month and I'm still waiting for it to come in!!).

I'll get your pick soon.

Zara's Retreat Hi Vendea

Here are my picks for you. I hope you find one that you like.

1. Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma - this is an interesting but weird read. I liked it when I read it.
2. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide, #1) by Douglas Adams - this book had me in fits of laughter when I read it. I really thoroughly enjoyed it.
3. What's Left of Me (The Hybrid Chronicles, #1) by Kat Zhang - my daughter read this and loved it.
4. The Madman's Daughter (The Madman's Daughter, #1) by Megan Shepherd - this book seems to keep following me around and 'calling' to me to read it. Have you ever felt 'stalked' by a book before? I think I'm going to have to read it one day to see why it's 'stalking' me. lol

Hi Aarati,

I have settled on 4 for you to choose from. You had a lot of great books.

1) Etiquette & Espionage (Finishing School, #1) by Gail Carriger
2) The Witness by Nora Roberts
3) Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1) by Stephanie Perkins
4) Her Counterfeit Husband (Regency Collection, #2) by Ruth Ann Nordin

Thanks for the picks Zara. I'm gonna try for all of them. Though I was wondering, don't I have to read The Earl's Inconvenient Wife before I read Her Counterfeit Husband?

I thought you had read the first one in that series. Sorry. If you haven't then by all means read the first book. There's nothing worse than reading a series out of order. lol

Zara's Retreat I've nearly finished Dewey The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World by Vicki Myron . I'm really loving it. Dewey reminds me somewhat of our own ginger tom.

message 86: by Robin (new)

Robin (robinpickell) | 1298 comments I am glad you enjoyed it Belinda. I am huge Hornblower fan myself :D. & you reminded me I need to catch up on that series (Temeraire, I mean), I think I am 2 behind.

I just finished Dial H for Hitchcock (Cece Caruso, #5) by Susan Kandel & gave it 3 STARS. Sadly, I think I have petered out with this series and do not think I will continue should she release another one. Although I highly enjoy mysteries & the first few in the series were amazing, I am not a huge Hitchcock fan, so maybe that is why I didn't enjoy it. If you're a fan of Hitchcock, you might enjoy it though. The references and Hitchcockian feel to the book might be to your tastes.

I did get Live and Let Shop (Spy Goddess, #1) by Michael P. Spradlin from the library, but am going to hold off on reading it for a bit. While trying to get into Dial H for Hitchcock, I cleansed my palate kinda with Betty Neels - after all, it's Christmas time and her short (only 9 Chapters!) stories usually revolve around Christmas time, so. Plus, I finally located an old favorite and bought it for myself on ebook for Christmas - shhh don't tell Santa ;D.

Hope your Holidays are going well & will read the next book in a few days or so.

Sophie I finished Storm. This one was creative, but I didn't like the characters so much and some of the things in the book bothered me :/

message 89: by Aarati (new)

Aarati | 197 comments Hey Zara, I finished The Earl's Inconvenient Wife (Regency Collection, #1) by Ruth Ann Nordin and I really liked it. Though I felt the whole falling in loved was quite rushed.
