Bill (kernos) | 23 comments I am reading a mythic fiction/urban fantasy series by Charles de Lint. The books are present, but are not series-ed:

How to I create a new series?

Series Name—Ottawa and the Valley

Moonheart (1984)
Yarrow: An Autumn Tale (1986)
A Wish Named Arnold (1987) [SF]
Ascian in Rose (1987) [SF]
Greenmantle (1988)
Wooden Bones (1989) [SF]
Westlin Wind (1989) [SF]
Merlin Dreams in the Mondream Wood (1990) [SF]
Ghostwood (1990) There's No Such Thing (1991)
[SF] Spiritwalk (1992) [C]
Fairy Dust (1993) [SF]
The Road to Lisdoonvarna (2001)

but I haven't found all the books you mention: "A wish named Arnold", "Wooden bones", "There's no such thing" & "Fairy dust" are not present on GR

The last one, "Sisters", there's a book called "Seven wild sisters", is this it?

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments Nearly all of those (the ones labelled [SF] are short stories, and probably shouldn't even be here standalone). Sisters was published in Waifs and Strays, in a best of collection, and likely elsewhere, but I'm 99% certain it's not ever been legally published alone (and it's different from Seven Wild Sisters).

Probably the same is true for the rest of the short fiction, I've often looked at Charles de Lint's books and meant to clean those out, but it's like trying to keep Ray Bradbury's short stories off here, an impossible unending (and largely thankless) job.

Moloch | 3975 comments Krazykiwi, since you know the author, can you check the series I created and see if everything is right? Thanks

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments It looks ok to me, although I might be tempted to mark the short stories as not primary works, or to unnumber the whole list completely.

I'm going to put a note about the "series" itself too. It's only very very loosely related, each book is effectively standalone. It's more a bunch of books set in pretty much a shared universe.
