Bless you for mentioning Pennies from Heaven but Leap of Faith was just awful. I hate Leap of Faith.

I concur, I hate that his books are so good, I'm reading his autobiography, and it's written so well, I just can't stand it.

I hate the Steve Martin stupid version of the inexpressibly great Pennies from Heaven which was originally a series on the BBC and if anyone doesn't know that then I hate them.
I hate that Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy became cuddly all round entertainers like the Rolling Stones did but then we all get old and gaga and demented and shagged out and drop dead and I hate that more.

I have that, Shop Girl, never watched it though...shit you say? Hmmmmmmm

Shop Girl was an excellent book, the movie was only so-so. I liked Claire Danes in it, although she is a back stabbing soon to be daddy stealing hooker and I now hate her. Steve Martin played the rather assholish character in the movie, and he did it rather well in my opinion. Stick with the book.
