I was wondering the same thing, I hope the storms haven't gotten him.
I'm here. Working in lower Kansas today and tomorrow. I'm actually working so I don't get to log on here much. :)
Kansas - well no wonder it was so lonely behind the ficus.
You know, I have yet to see a "Where is Gus?" thread when I went AWOL for a couple of months.
Fuck y'all...
Fuck y'all...
Gus, read the last shebang thread. We talked about you alot in there. Or better yet, run a TC search for "Gus." I'm sure I tried to provoke you by challenging your manliness in several threads when you started to disappear. :)
Randomanthony wrote: "You're always here. That's one of the reasons I like you."I should disappear just for that. Like... for days, maybe even weeks.
OK Heidi, I'll search for "Gus". Thanks!
Gus, I barely know you, but I remember when you were gone for a while. And I remember Heidi talking about you during that time.
And no one ever says "Hey, where is Julie?"
Who is keeping tabs on me??? Huh? Who??
I expect someone (or maybe two or three people) to be always monitoring my Terminal Coffee status and how often I comment.
Alright??
Alright.
If Jackie doesn't post I assume she's at one of her regional librarian meetings. I'm sure they're very exciting. Or else she's in a foreign country. But no, she posts when she's in foreign countries...
What kind of snacks? Our meeting snacks always suck. Except when we get bagels. My brain is fried right now. Excuse me for rambling.
I bet she gives her password and a little cash to a stand-in when she goes on vacation. No one would know...
And where's Sally?Has she posted anything in the last few hours?
Should we be worried?
Is everyone sick of my sarcasm?
(I really do like all of you...)
Sally's been in a calm, meditative state of mind since the semester ended. She's excused. You, Julie, on the other hand...
Costco muffins, usually, RA. Sometimes cookies and stuff from Trader Joe's, which is better. And coffee or tea.The potlucks here at the office are truly amazing, RA. The head of reference is a great cook, and she's always making something - pie, enchiladas, lasagna... We had a full Thanksgiving dinner last November, with an actual turkey she cooked in the staff room oven. Everyone else brought the rest.
We had a Baked Potato lunch, where everyone brought toppings or dessert, a Chili day with different kinds of chili (including vegetarian), and a Cheap Eats a few weeks ago, which was stuff like Sloppy Joes and PB & J sandwiches.
What I meant to say was, where is MY OWN 'Where is Gus' thread.

Sorry about the bad behavior.
I have an overactive sarcasm gland.
Please forgive me.
Whoa. Just after I said "we don't snacks anymore", the doughnut fairy visited my office. Now my eyes are still tired but I'm bzzbzbuzzing with sugar.
Splash your face with cold water, Sarah Pi. I tend to do that or drink ice cold water. Sends a jolt to my eyeballs to stay awake for at least an hour.
Oh, Jules, you're not a big meanie, heh. Be as sarcastic as you'd like. You're the woman with the mustache...you've earned it:)
I can't tell if you were really concerned, Julie, or if that was your tongue in cheek way of saying I'm on here too much.
That's why RA made me mod. I never, ever go away.

Oh, no. I wasn't saying you were on here too much.In my opinion, no one could really be on here too much.
It's just the place to be.
