worst book you have ever read that's popular?

I'm totally with you on this. I didn't like Alaska at all and I felt like I spent half the book yelling at Miles to stop being so dumb.

I read the first book and I'm currently reading the sequel but... it's hard for me to connect. I think it's the writing style of the descriptions. :/

I don't know if this was just a big thing in the UK, but I hate hate hated this book!"
So the movie for that was recently on some list on Facebook of 20 movies every 2000 girl loved and I had never heard of the that movie (or the book). Thank you for clarifying some.

I actually quite liked the movie when I was younger, so that made me pick up the book and I was so so disappointed.

I seriously hated this book so much. I finished it, because I promised myself if I start a book I will finish it no matter what... This book was almost painful to finish, I hated every last page.

Agreed, 5th Wave was awful. Granted I HATE dystopian books/movies/shows, so that may have made me biased against it.

Some friends of mine had a challenge, to read this book in a month. Maybe it's just a guy thing, maybe not, but it was hard for me to get in to this book.

I agree with you. I don't understand why everyone loves Twilight. I did not like Edward or Bella in the books. Neither of them seemed to be strong characters. I did like the movie though. I thought they did a better job with the characters and events.

True. I did enjoy it but it wasn't a 5 star read that everyone claimed it to be. Totally agree with you!

I read these when I was quite a bit younger (I think I was like 10?) and I just remember them getting weirder and worse as it went on D:

Just curious: who are you replying to?

Agreed totally agreed. Not the plot nor the view was that beautifully written.

Oh god, I just could not. I hated both Anna and the cheating crush she had. None of the characters were likable at all, but Anna took the cake.
Also, I disliked how the author used her characters as a way to bash other authors. I might not like the sad contemporary style myself, but the way she used Anna's feelings towards her father was a clear hateful statement against books of that nature.
