It is Goodreads policy to keep all published covers on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead of changing the existing cover image, we add an alternate-cover edition. See https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... and https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/8....

As the author, you will have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile. Here's how: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...

That's probably because you didn't provide an image and nobody can find an image of the cover. It's quite an old book. The only one I found was on ebay and I can't use that.
