Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask. But the rights for a book I published with another company came back to me because the publisher closed. I re-released the book with a new publisher, which was released today.

It has a new cover and the URL link to the book needs to be change to show the new publisher and not the old one.

Can someone change it?

KT, a new publication with a new publisher needs a new edition, not edits to the existing one(s). Once the new edition had been created and combined with its fellows, you'll be able to set it as primary.

As the author, you have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile. Here's how: http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/31...

We only add URLs if they have something extra (like an excerpt, for example). That's a bare sales link, so there's no reason for it to be in the book's record.

We do not change covers. Instead we add an alternate-cover edition (ARC). Please see this post for more information.

Alternate-cover edition = ACE
Advanced reader copy = ARC

pbstatic is PhotoBucket IIRC, so only really OK if it's your own image - the copyright ownership of images on photosharing sites can get, problematic.

Found a nice clear image for the second on ol' Amazon though so it now has a shiny(ish) cover image too :)

Not done Chelssie - you just added a photo to the area that is specifically NOT for covers...

To deal with requests like this you need to create a whole new edition with the new cover but no ASIN/ISBN (all the other data should be identical though). Once created this new edition will need to be combined with the old one. When combined if the author is the requestor, link the new edition back here with the instructions on setting Primary editions.
