Fran | 12278 comments Kat, I just finished Sixty Five Hours by N.R. Walker and it was really good. A quick, sweet read. No angst, some humor, a sweet love story. It's free too. That's the one I ended up going with for 'N' and it was a Meet&Greet choice, so it was perfect :)

I know you already started another one though. But put this one on your tbr, I think you will like it :)

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) | 1292 comments I am in Northern Ohio, lots of flat land, but we are lucky in that we get a lot of tornado warnings and scares, but typically no major damage. This was weird! My home and community is fine, thank god. But, the very next town up from me (maybe 15 minutes away) suffered some pretty bad damage, which affected the internet for us. There were 3 separate touchdowns (EF1 - 3?). Amazingly, only property and business damage, though. No injuries! Very scary stuff! I don't like this tornado business.

Thank you for your thoughts and well wishes.

Kat, I'm with you. I am getting panicky with the holidays approaching, too. Most women worry about cooking, cleaning and gifts. I worry about my lack of reading time because of the big to do's...lol.

MountainKat | 31599 comments Thanks Fran, I'll add that one too!

Tina, gotta love the family but they do interfere with reading at times! Thank goodness for audiobooks - I can get some of the work done and read! Not while they are here, but at least a lot of the prep!

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) | 1292 comments I also really enjoy audiobooks.

They are a lifesaver for me really! Especially since the grocery store (and everything else) is an hour away. Once I was pointed to audiobooks I don't hate my drive time anymore, I actually look forward to my errand days because I know I can get through a lot of an audiobook!

MountainKat | 31599 comments So Tina, your not having internet for a few days forced me to look for another N book. When I looked again, I found The Nothingness of Ben - I have no idea why I didn't see it the first time I searched calibre by title... I loved it! I just wanted to let you know that everything turned out really well! Maybe even better because I hadn't noticed that book in my earlier searches. And, I'm about half done with Vengeance in Death too!

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) | 1292 comments The Nothingness of Ben sounds really good. I just looked it up. How are you liking Vengeance in Death? Do you read them or listen to them. I've listened to the whole series. I just love Susan Ericksen. I can't imagine anyone else doing Roarke as well as she does.

MountainKat | 31599 comments Both books were really good! I finished listening to Vengeance in Death yesterday while getting ready for the holiday! Love audiobooks for stuff like that and I love how Susan Ericksen narrates this series! She does such an amazing job with all the characters - and makes Roarke even yummier! I always find it a little weird when I fall for a hero read by a woman... Did it with Anna Fields and SEP's Chicago Stars books too! Oh well =)

Tina "IRead2Escape" (tinar1121) | 1292 comments I know exactly what you mean. I think the same thing about a woman reading the part of a man that I'm lusting after. Especially a man that is a manly man and not a feminine version.
