Marian slouched into a desk in the empty classroom. Of all places she hadn't been quite sure why she had headed here until she arrived. This was the place where she had last been closest to Robin. She was still holding on. She gazed about the room and could almost see the ghosts of the two of them that night: dancing, laughing, screaming, crying. She heaved a sigh and laid her arms on the desk and her face on top of them.
Robin stumbled into the room. He had stolen liquor from the kitchens and was swearing under his breath. He stopped in the doorway and spotted Marian. "You!" He called out.
Marian looked up wearily. It was Robin. She almost wanted to laugh. She came her to escape him and all the pain that came with him by coming to a place full of his memories which still hurt and he still shows up just add to everything else. "You drunk?" She called. He looked a bit off and, knowing Robin, it wouldn't really surprise her.
"Yes, I am. And i hope you're happy Marian! Rosalie and I are officially over!" He exclaimed, throwing his hands above his head dramatically. She looked so tired, it was saddening.
Why in god's name would I be happy about that Robin?" Marian hadn't meant to sound bitter but she was too tired to stop her tone. "I'm not the one who broke up with her. I apologized and left, anything after that was all you're own doing." She wasn't in the mood to play the dedicated friend to a drunk Robin. She had enough to do trying to be friends with Charming now.
"Yes well guess why I broke up with her? Well if you guessed that you're the reason, you would be correct!" He walked up to her slowly, holding onto the desks to keep himself up. "I couldn't date her knowing you felt that way about me."
Marian felt guilt eating her away from the inside out. This wasn't what she wanted, but at the same time it was exactly what she had wanted all along wasn't it? For him to choose her no matter who else it might hurt. "You didn't even give me a chance to guess." Marian said. Her eyes were closed because she was afraid that if she opened them there would be tears there. "I thought you loved her."
"I do love her Mar! That's why I had to end things, because I loved her, but I didn't think you'd be back in my life. Because I loved you for years now, and I was trying to get over that!" Robin walked up to her quickly, looking down at her.
"So I'm the rebound or she is? Or maybe none of this is really true and you're just making up stories cause you're drunk." Marian said, her head back on the desk. It wouldn't be the first time. She had heard the stories and carrying on of him and Will when they had gotten drunk before and she'd had to take care of them. She refused the hope that kept trying to rise up in her.
"Neither of you are the rebounds Marian. I'm not here because I need a rebound from Rose. I'm here because you're the reason I broke up with Rosalie! Because I love you! For some reason, because you drive me absolutely crazy!" He grabbed his hair and leaned towards her, his body hovering over her.
Marian could feel him, the warmth of him, hovering over her. She wanted to believe him so badly but what if this was all a misunderstanding. "I don't want my heart to break anymore." Marian almost wimpered, slowly bringing her head up from the desk.
Robin stopped for a moment, she seemed almost weak. Why wasn't he angry at her for ruining what he and Rosalie were forming? He went and sat in the chair beside her, before taking her face and lifting it to look at him, "I'm sorry."
Marian looked at his eyes briefly before darting hers away. She couldn't let him draw her too far in until she was sure of what was happening here. "What do you have to be sorry for Robin?" She asked, staring at a clock above the door. She was the one that had to be sorry. "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry for leaving you. I'm sorry for causing you and Charming to break up. But mostly, i'm sorry for this..." He grabbed her face gently and pulled it to his, locking their lips together. He knew it would screw with her mind, but he needed to know what it was like.
Marian didn't know what to do. What if he wasn't in his right mind and this whole thing was actually going to be something he regretted in the morning. She could stop it but... she didn't want to. She had wanted this for longer than she wanted to admit and, right or wrong, she wasn't going to give up what could be a one time chance. She kissed him back, her hand came up to his cheek and she felt his mouth move against hers.
Robin deepened the kiss, he didn't want her to think he was simply drunk. He had wanted this for the longest time. He picked her out of her chair and set her on his lap, wrapping his fingers in her hair.
Marian didn't protest. She didn't dare. What if one wrong move ended whatever strange spell this might be? She moaned against his mouth when he tangles his hands in her already unruly curls. Her own hands slid around his neck and one into his dark hair. She couldn't breath but she didn't think she wanted to.
Robin pulled away, "I'm sorry Marian. I shouldn't be.... Rosalie and Charming.. What would they think of this? I just... I want to so badly." He whispered against her neck.
Marian closed her eyes and rested her forehead on his shoulder. She knew something was going to happen. This was her life wasn't it? She slipped off his lap and went to stand by the window. "Charming. Charming knows how I feel. The sad part was he was willing to wait, to be steady and firm for me until I could love him. I think even he knew I never would completely." Marian sighed. "My heart will wait forever." She whispered. Was he going to leave again?
He walked up to her and put his hands on either side of her face, trapping her against him. "I never should have left you Mar. I was completely stupid." He kissed her nose, "I'm so sorry. I was so stupid."
"You didn't have a choice." Marian whispered. "I'm sorry I didn't just tell you. Save all this grief and not be a little girl." She told him. She might have spared so much pain for so many people that way. "We both have a lot of damage don't we?" She asked him honestly.
"So much damage." He growled before picking her up by her thighs and pressing her against the wall, pressing their lips together passionately.
Marian's breath escaped her as he pushed her up against the wall. This was real, all of it, every second, for however long it was going to last. She ran her hands through his hair and wrapped her legs around him. He was so passionate about everything he did and that was why she needed him. No one else could ever match him like that. She pulled back from him just a little and grinned. "Are you sure you want me if I'm so damaged. It might take a lot of effort to fix me."
"But that's the thing, it kills me to think about anyone else trying to fix you besides me. You're my little Mar." He whispered. "We're supposed to be together, you know that."
"I feel like I should be insulted that you called me little but I can't cause you used Mar in the same sentence." She made a face. "What a ridiculous question." She told him. Then her voice lowered and got a bit more husky. "I've always know that. I was just waiting for you to come around."
"You know what I mean. I've known you since we were little. You're my little Mar. No one else knew you back then except Will and he doesn't count." He laughed and looked her over, "Hey now, don't make that voice. We can't do that."
"Will counts." Marian said softly. "You and will are both my brothers before you're anything else." she told him. She didn't know what she would say to Will the next time she saw him. She couln't stay mad at him forever. "Well when you're dealing with someone as stubborn as you what do you expect? It's taken you forever to figure out what I knew years ago." She slapped him lightly on the chest.
Robin ran his fingers up her stomach, "I'm sorry it took me so long. But I won't keep you waiting any longer." He kissed her forehead softly, loving how natural it felt.
Marian shivered. Maybe he wasn't such a good idea. He already knew everything that made her tick. "Stop it you know I'm ticklish there." She squeaked.
"I'm sorry Mar. Should I not?" He asked concerned, he was scared of ruining anything of whatever they had going on. "I'm not ... I don't..." He stuttered out.
"Ro, it's fine, it's just very few people know how sensitive I am there and you do things like that without even thinking. I'm not used to someone who knows me so well being close to me like this." She smiled softly. "This is all new to me. Robin you were the second person in my life to ever kiss me." She said, almost embarrassed.

Robin frowned and pressed himself against her, closing any space left between them, "Well I can be your first in other things." He growled and kissed her fiercely.
Marian felt bad for saying that. She knew how possessive he could be and she didn't want to push him over some unwritten line. The way he was kissing her now was like a brand, saying that she was his and his alone. When she pulled back she could barely breathe. "I'm sorry." She managed between breaaths. "I didn't mean it like that."
Robin pulled back and took one step back. "Marian, I don't want to do anything to make you angry at me again." He said sadly, looking at the ground.
Marian reached for his hand befor he got too far away. "No. What I meant was, Robin you've done everything, tried it all and I sat back and watched all those years. I never saw you the way you are with me right now. You always treated me like a kid and I didn't know any differently. You'll know if I'm angry at you Robin." She said with a small smile. "I just need to get used to this side of you." A sudden thought came to her. "Ro can I aske you something?" She asked a bit shakily.
Robin squeezed her hand and nodded, "Ask me anything Mar, anything at all." He smiled and gestured for her to ask away.
Marian bit her lip, which Robin of course figured out years ago was her nervous gesture, and let go of his hand. She took a few steps away. There was no way she could be looking into his mischevious blue eyes when she asked this. "Am I a good kisser?" She asked, a blush rising on her cheeks. "I mean, if anyone would know you would. Right?"
"Well, I don't know, let's test that out." He smirked and pressed their lips together. His tongue grazed across her lips, asking for her to open.
That wasn't an asnwer but what use was it to argue when it came to him. She had some experience and enough brains to keep up but this whole thing Robin was so different then what she had gone through with Charming. Marian parted her lips as he kissed her and just let him show her what to do.
Robin's tongue moved around hers, tangling his fingers through her hair. He pulled back for a moment, "By the way, the answer is hell yes, you're amazing at this." He growled before pressing their lips together again.
Marian laughed and pulled back to look into his eyes. They were so blue a dark blue that she was sure had been created solely for his eyes. "Well at least I can rest easy about that one now." She joked. Her former confirmation hadn't been quite as reliable. Marian looked around her. "What's with us and this classroom?" She asked. "Can't we ever randomly bump into each other someplace normal? Though I do like the privacy here." She thought out loud then smiled a gave him a quick kiss on the cheek just to tease him.
