November Buddy Read Discussion
Duration: 11/1/13 - 11/30/13

Instructions & Info:

Rules:

Use this thread to find your buddy and determine your book! You can always start by posting books, authors or genres you are interested in! When you decide who you buddy and your book you will head on over to the FINAL SIGN UP thread (see link at bottom) and tell me your book and buddy there (there will be instructions to follow) If you are without a partner by the end of sign up I will match the remaining people up, so no worries...EVERYONE will have a buddy:-)

1.If you want to participate post your name and maybe let people know what genre(s) you are interested in reading and or any books that you're interested in reading.

2.If you already know who you’d like to read with, go to the Final Sign UP thread and post your information for me!

3.Whoever doesn’t have a partner, we will place with another person and you guys can pick a book together! If we have an odd number we can have groups of three, more people to discuss with!

4.I will create Buddy Discussion Threads for each Buddy group and you will be able to start reading and discussing.

5.The challenge will span a month.

6.For each group we can set up a thread so the two of you can discuss without having to sift through a bunch of other conversation. But please leave us updates as to how far along you guys are and how you’re liking the book!

7.You CAN sign up for more than one Buddy Read...in fact it's encouraged! And I'm giving a full month just for reading this time around so it will give you more time for more books!!!

ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK!

Once you have a buddy, go to the November sign up thread and post your book and your buddy

Fantastic Gea! I'm new to the group and buddy reads so I'm not sure what to do now. I'm going to go look for the other thread.

message 18: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Hey guys! I'd really like more buddy reads if anyone's still looking!

Jennifer C. | 1722 comments Lauren wrote: "Hey guys! I'd really like more buddy reads if anyone's still looking!"

I know you read a lot of YA books. I'm trying to finish up some series before the end of the year. These are some that I'm getting to read the second book in the series. Have you read any of the first in these series, or would you be able to read the first before November? I'll list the first book in the series below.

Angel Evolution
Beautiful Creatures
Hush, Hush
City of Bones

Let me know. Or take a look at my series shelf. That's the whole list. It's HUGE!!! :)

Or if you see anything on my Own-TBR shelf, I can be persuaded to read one of those too. That shelf is ridiculous though. It may take you a month to go through it.

message 20: by Emily (new)

Emily (Emmazona) Hey Jennifer. I would like to read city of bones with you. Any from the series

OK. I'll be reading City of Ashes in November. I'll sign us up!

I've already read all the City of Bones books and the first Beautiful Creatures (didn't like it too much though, it was ok), but thanks anyway (:
I saw you have Pretties on your TBR shelf, and I've already read that but I haven't read the third one yet (Specials)so if you want to read Pretties then we could read Specials together next month.

Stacey Kennedy | 1063 comments Jennifer C. I'm up for the third in the Beautiful Creatures series if you'd like to read together?

message 25: by Jennifer C. (new)

Jennifer C. | 1722 comments Sure, but I have to read the second one first. Can you wait until December? I don't know if I'll get all of that done in November.

JennC, girl you are rocking the BRs!
Hi-5

message 27: by Jennifer C. (new)

Jennifer C. | 1722 comments LOL Thanks! I need some motivation to finish some of these series that I'm halfway through. Not to mention my out of control Own-TBR shelf. I could probably never buy a book again and it would take me the rest of my life to finish it. Like that's going to happen though. I read one and buy three.

message 28: by Stacey (new)

Stacey Kennedy | 1063 comments Sure Jennifer C. December is good:)

message 29: by Elishia (last edited Oct 24, 2013 01:11PM) (new)

Elishia Ok you're all motivating me to get through some series.

Jennifer C i'll read the 2nd hush hush with you, they're just on my shelf looking pretty, also can I join you for allegiant if I can get to insurgent in time.

And Vicci i'll join you for Scorch Trials or 5th wave (not sure if I can fit them both in)

OK. Great! I still have to read Insurgent too. I was thinking about starting it this weekend. I can set up a thread for it if you want and we can discuss it this month.

Threads are up for everyone who has signed up so far!

Is anyone still looking for a buddy or are you all happily partnered up? :)

message 38: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Denise, if you want to read one of the books I posted above I'd be happy to! But I do have other buddy reads so I'm not desperate for a partner :)

I haven't read Dracula yet and I have been meaning to finish it. I have started it twice and both times had to drop it because I got to busy with school.
