I love Kate's humor. She is always saying something funny and that line is one of my favorites.

Jim & his crew: I am confused. They were always loyal to Curran in the other books. Now they are doing things and not reporting them to him. Also, attacking Kate without provocation. These seem out of characters for them.

Derek: What the hell is he thinking? Breaking into Saiman's place for tickets to a banned event.

Curran: He is seriously losing control of his people all of a sudden. They all seem to be keeping secrets from him. Rebellion of sorts, maybe?

Rafael & Andrea: These two are adorable. I love that he is bending over backwards to impress her and she is totally trying to stay uninterested. LOL

Jim and his crew: Now I understand why they are doing what they are doing but do they really think Curran is gonna be happy with them?

Wolf's Diamond - interesting item to use against shapeshifters.

Electrum: These rakshasa guys are not playing fair, they are playing to win. Between Electrum & the Wolf's Diamond, the odds are stacked against the shifters.

Picking up Julie: I love how they picked her up at the school. I doubt those girls will be bullying her much any more. She might be the most popular girl at the school after this.

Sultan of Death: if he is Kate's bio father like she thinks, this could be an interesting family reunion. Considering that her main goal in life is to kill him.

Midnight Games - the games are a bit brutal but the team kicked butt!

The final rite - um eww! I hope she doesn't go thru with that!

Curran - I am glad that he was able to understand why Jim and the others did what they did. I am glad he stepped in to help his people but still gave them appropriate punishments so his leadership wasn't questioned. It also seems like he has publicly claimed Kate as his mate. She might want to get used to that pretty quickly... I love his note to Kate at the end! It is priceless!

Kate - She is finally starting to admit that she wants Curran. I think he suspects who she really is but doesn't care. I hope she soon realizes how much he cares and gives in. They would both be so much happier.

I loved this book and I can't wait to continue the series.

Derek: (view spoiler)[He learns not to trust and it is awful what happens to this "innocent" young man who thinks he can do anything. But the way he develops in the next books because of this is so amazing. (hide spoiler)]

Saiman: (view spoiler)[I actually really love the relationship between Saiman and Kate. He tries every shape to get her to love him though I'm sure if she gave in he would move right on. He is a businessman first. (hide spoiler)]

Mythology: I love how they use things from all kinds of different mythology. Scandinavian, Indian and more in other books.

Kate & Julie: (view spoiler)[I love their relationship, Kate really wants to support Julie and the visit to school is brilliant. (hide spoiler)]

Curran: (view spoiler)[The way he treats Kate is great, I feel sorry for her that her pie is always gone.
I really like how he turns up at the games and then punish himself and the rest of the shifters with hard labour after because they broke the rules. (hide spoiler)]

Dali: (view spoiler)[She is so cute, a vegetarian tiger who in human for is blind as a bat but she still drives. And she is a good spell caster. It is great how she turns up in later books. (hide spoiler)]
