SOLVED. Christian Children's Book From the 80s with a double name [s]

This had been bugging me for years. In 1987 or 1988 I read a Christian children's book about a girl named something like Amy Jo or Mandy Jo. It was a series of books. In one of the books she went to a fantasy world and there was lots of colorful stuff in this world. The rest of the books were just about the girl in the normal world. I think she had a brother but I am not sure. This is probably so obscure no one will know but it is driving me crazy.

Where they picture books or chapter books? About what age were they aimed at - older elementary girls? Do you remember anything else that happens in any of the books? Oh - and were they modern day or historical?

Something by Hilda Stahl? (Sadie Rose series & Elizabeth Gail series)

Or by Angela Elwell Hunt (Nicki Holland series, Cassie Perkins series, etc.)

My mind wants to go the the Mandie and the Christy Miller series. But I know they never went to any fantasy worlds in those books.
