Eric | 6 comments I remember part of the book where the main character plays a guitar and has a dragon (?) tattoo that comes alive through magic. I would have read this book when I was in my teens so the book would be over 25+ years old. It's a fantasy book. If I can think of more I will post more.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments The premise is similar to Ray Bradbury's The Illustrated Man, but it's a short story, science fiction collection.

Do you remember the setting of the story? Was it a mythical land, an alternative Earth, etc? Any other fantastical elements like trolls, dragons, unicorns, etc?

Anything about the cover?

Eric | 6 comments It wasn't The Illustrated Man. It was a novel set in a mythical land, earth like with fantasy elements for sure. It's been so long ago I can't remember the cover at all.

I know not much help.

There are other stories that feature tattoos that come alive. One where the tattoos are demons who come alive at night, but otherwise live on the skin of the mc and provide her with absolute protection from everything. (Her grandmother had been in Hiroshima on the day that the Bomb was dropped--and survived with not a single damaged cell.) Sorry, can't remember the title or author, but they are on my bookshelf. I'm operating on a total of 8 hours sleep out of the last 48, so am more than a bit punch drunk right now.)

Eric | 6 comments I saw that. I just bought a copy of Changeling. After i read that I'll probably go ahead and get the sequel. I read the book when i was in Junior High. I loved it then. Time will tell if I still enjoy it.
