"You're the only one worth talking to," Jonesy replied while staring at the machine's screen. "Well, besides the sweet man that used to come around a lot. I believe he was in his eighties, and he was an adorable, elderly man. He always had a story to tell and...no! No! I did not beat the high score!"

"Who has the high score?" Thomas said, trying to figure out who could possibly have a higher score than Jonesy.

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

"Someone with the initials TDG," Jonesy sighed dramatically. "I have failed my family. Our honor will never be restored."

"I don't think it's that far, Jonesy." Thomas pulled her into a nice warm hug.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy slowly grinned and hugged him back. "Thanks, but I will beat it one day!"

Thomas held her in the hug quietly for a moment before he whispered. "I really like holding you Jonesy. I can feel your warmth and it's wonderful."

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy's face heated up a bit. It felt like an intimate moment between them. That was what she wanted...sort of. "I...like being held by you," she whispered back.

Thomas held her for awhile longer and then he kissed her on the forehead. "I'm lucky to have you in my life, You're an incredible best friend."

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

Boom. Smack to the face. Jonesy's expression contorted to an understanding one as she nodded. "You too, Thomas," she said before turning back to the game.

Gio (mediamartyr17) | 2641 comments Mod
"You okay?" Thomas didn't say what he wanted to say because he didn't want to ruin their friendship. He didn't expect her to look unhappy.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

"I will be as soon as I beat this high score," Jonesy answered and started to play again. She didn't want to overreact or anything. So, she was going to push it behind her and change the subject. "There is an assembly for the school coming up either tomorrow or the next day...I can't remember. Are you going to go?"

message 62: by Gio, Andi's Pet ♥ (new)

Gio (mediamartyr17) | 2641 comments Mod
"Only if you're going."

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy swore silently at the game when she lost. "Yeah, I'm going."

message 64: by Gio, Andi's Pet ♥ (new)

Gio (mediamartyr17) | 2641 comments Mod
"Okay. I'm just gonna watch you play." Thomas said awkwardly.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy looked at him and shook her head. "I think I've played enough. Why don't you give it a go?" She gave a sideways grin.

message 66: by Gio, Andi's Pet ♥ (new)

Gio (mediamartyr17) | 2641 comments Mod
Thomas shrugged and started playing. He wasn't very good at it in the past, but he seemed to be amazing this time. He got the 3rd high score.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

"You've kept your mad skills to yourself...You know, Thomas, you haven't really told me much about yourself in the time we've known each other," Jonesy moved to his side. "Why is that?"

message 68: by Gio, Andi's Pet ♥ (new)

Gio (mediamartyr17) | 2641 comments Mod
"Because the dead usually stay dead and I didn't want you to grow too close to me." Thomas said surprised at his score.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy had a sad frown. "It wouldn't have mattered. I still would have been your friend, and dead or alive, I'm always going to be attached to you. I'm a spirit bender, Thomas. There is no one on this earth who knows more than me that the dead usually stay dead. I knew what I wasgetting into when we became friends." She stared at the machine's screen.

Gio (mediamartyr17) | 2641 comments Mod
"I'm not sure if that's true." Thomas said, too ashamed of his past to look at her.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy looked up at him, trying to catch his eye. "Thomas, you're my best friend. I'll always accept and adore you." She put a comforting hand on his arm.

Thomas turned and looked her in the eyes with her hand on his arm. He couldn't believe she was so kind to him. He shut his brain up from the inhibitions, put his hands against her cheeks and gave her an intense and loving kiss against her lips.

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy stared at his closed eyes as he kissed her. She was just kind of standing there because she hadn't expected this. After what seemed like an eternity, but was only a few seconds, she closed her eyes and molded her lips with his.

Thomas let the kiss last for a few more seconds before her smoothly stopped the kiss. Thomas spoke with a happy surprise. "You didn't push me away." Jonesy kissed him back. Did this mean what he wanted it to mean?

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy smiled at him. "Why would I push you away?" Butterflies were all in her chest and stomach. He kissed her! He kissed her! She would still ask him about his past later on, but right now, she just wanted to relish in her happiness.

Thomas smiled wider and then laughed with jolliness ((Not Santa). "Well isn't that wonderful?" Thomas kissed her on her lips again. and then again. On the thirdd of this set, Thomas kissed her with parted lips.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

Jonesy nodded, "Yeah, it really is." What she always wanted, actually. She had kissed guys before. So, she knew, mostly, what she was supposed to do. Some guys had tried to teach her kissing techniques and failed miserably. She kissed him back as he did and parted her lips just a tad when he did. It was kind of funny that they were just kissing away in the arcade.

((Dibs on the Arcade Manager/Owner))

Thomas was deep into the kiss. He wasn't pay attention to the out side world.

At least that was until a loud and strong clap was made right beside their ears. It scared Thomas and made him jump back with a stone exoskeleton and brightened eyes, ready to 'pounce'. The clap came from a strong, older and slightly rugged.

"This an arcade. Buy refreshments. Buy tokens. Play the games. Spend money. That's how it works here. So either help me keep the lights on here or find somewhere else to snog." He spoke with a British accent. He didn't sound angry or mean, but he did sound like a professional. Certainly too professional and measured to be directly in charge of a small town arcade.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

((Go for it :) ))

Jonesy was used to being snuck up on by spirits almost everyday of her life. So, the unexpected clap only made her flinch. Her cheeks turned bright red. "I'm sorry, sir. Yeah, um...Thomas?" She looked at Thomas in fascination. "You...want to keep touring Groversdale?" She glanced up at the man for a moment and quickly looked back at Thomas.

Thomas returned to a normal exoskeleton. "Sounds good to me."

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

"To the...park?" Jonesy shrugged and tried to avoid eye contact with the looming man. "Sorry again, sir."

The Manager shook his head. "Not a big issue. Enjoy your day." He didn't smile and the kindness in his voice was subtle.

Thomas nodded to Jonesy. He took her hand and walked her to the Park.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) Isabella was at the back of the arcade, kicking the Pacman machine that didn't want to seem to work. She has nowhere to go after visiting the Blood Bank, she decided to hit up the Arcade.

message 84: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments Cruor slowly walked through the arcade, looking at the different games that he could play. He went from one to the next, shaking his head until he came to the back of the arcade. He looked at a basketball machine with emotionless eyes. He placed two tokens into the slot and grabbed a basketball, scoring one after the other, Im fucking awesome at this. He thought happily to himself.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) Isabella blew out a breath full of unneeded air of her useless lungs, giving up on the game. stupid game. She thought. Her attention was brought over to a guy playing the basketball machine. She had to admit, he was quite good.Isabella dug into her pockets. Crap. She was out of tokens.

message 86: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments He quietly finished the game and squatted to grab his tickets from the dispenser. He slowly began folding the tickets so they would easily fit into his jeans. When he was done folding he shoved his hand into his pocket and pulled his hand out, empty. He walked over to the pac-man machine and pressed the buttons a few times. He sighed and rubbed his eyes. He went to the side of the machine and plugged it in. It booted up and he started playing pac-man.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) Isabella scoffed when she saw him plug in the machine. She threw him a look, her arms tightly crossed over her chest. The scent of his fowl blood labelled him as a Demon. Isabella made another face of disgust at the fowl smell, pulling out a cigarette from her pocket and placing it between her rosy lips.

message 88: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments He lost after a few minutes and sighed. He shook his head and looked at the girl. He shook his head at the cigarette and then walked back to the basketball machine, I should probably play what im good at... He thought to himself. Cruor put another few tokens in and started playing again.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) Isabella kept the unlit cigarette between her teeth as she walked over and stood a few comfortable feet away from him, watching him play. The booming of the ball hitting plastic vibrated in her eardrums.

message 90: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments When balls stopped dropping into the feeder he frowned and rubbed the back of his neck. He bent over and pulled the tickets from the dispenser. He shook his head when he saw the amount of tickets he won, Barley any... He thought to himself. He turned around and saw the girl. He gave her an emotionless wave and decided to play again. He placed the coins into the slot again and started playing once more.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) The small wave he offered invited Isabella to move closer, leaning against the adjacent basketball game to his. "You're good at that." She found herself saying, the cigarette bobbing as she spoke; her British accent audible.

message 92: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments When he was done with that round he turned to her and nodded. He grabbed his tickets and began folding them once more. He shoved them into his pocket and started playing again. He coughed into his arm in between shots. He threw up a few shots in quick succession to recover for the time it took him to cough.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) Isabella turned to the basketball game she was leaning on and dug out only one token from her pocket. She gazed over at the boy and asked: "Do you have an extra token?"

message 94: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments He dug into his pocket and ran his fingers over the coins. He pulled one out and held it to her, between his middle and index finger. When she took it he continued playing and taking his tickets. Play, take, play, take. It was an endless cycle.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) She rolled the token in her palm and nodded a thank you, putting her two tokens in. The speed as to which Isabella played was impeccable, faster than normal without missing a shot. She didn't even break a sweat.

message 96: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments He ignored her as he played. He grabbed the rest of his tickets and shoved them into his pocket. He slowly rubbed his eyes and looked up at the ceiling with a slight sigh. He turned around and looked towards the front of the arcade, putting his hands behind his head.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) Out of boredom, Isabella stopped playing and crouched down in front of the machine, retrieving the endless line of tickets. She folded them up, waved them at the boy with a sly grin and turned away toward the prizes.

message 98: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments He looked at her and followed her to the prize booth thingy. He pulled his tickets out of his pocket and started feeding them into the counting machine. He coughed into his arm one more time while he waited for the piece of paper with his ticket amount on it.

ᎻꮖꮐꮋᏞꭺꭰꭹ (hollywaug) Isabella fed her long train of tickets through the counting machine, thumping her pale fingers against the cold metal. Although to her it was nice and warm. When the slip of paper popped out of the slot with her points count, she grinned and slipped it into her pocket. She then peered over at him at his machine. "What's your count?" Isabella asked.

message 100: by Corvus (new)

Corvus | 2166 comments He looked over at her and looked down at his slip. He read the numbers slowly off of the slip, "2452" He looked up at her again, "You?" He asked quietly. He started walking over to the prize counter as he waited for her answer.
