(("Here at Groversdale, we want nothing but the best for our students."))
((Notifications are not working properly. I am posting in hopes that it will start working.))
Jaylie Hannison, Todd Hannison, Alana Richie, Andi Johnson, Love Windser, and L Lawliet all walked into the arcade at the same time as if an unknown force sent them there.
((Hehehe))
((Hehehe))
((Hahaha, idk. I just really want some action!))
Jaylie, Alana, and Love all left the arcade. Jaylie headed towards the pool for a quick swim, Alana decided to venture out and see the Oxxi Tunnel, while Love went to the ice cream parlor for some sweet, chocolate ice cream.
Nathaniel walked into the Arcade, wondering what in the world he was going to play. Mr. Bond had told him to step out of his comfort zone. So he did what a very young woman told him he would actually enjoy if he managed to loosen up. He went to an arcade.
Joe was already going from machine to machine, taking all the high score places except for the one on Pac-Man and Street Fighter. He enjoyed acting like a little kid again. It made him realize that he honestly did marry too young. He wanted to play every game before he left, but the only things he hadn't gotten to yet were two player games. It wasn't like his human wife could come here, not that he'd even take her to an arcade. She was a 'fuddy-duddy'. He stood by the air hockey machine alone, trying to figure out what to do.
Nathaniel saw Joe at the hockey table. He appeared to exude an aura begging for someone to play with him. Nathaniel walked slowly to the hockey table and stated. "Mind if I play with you?"
((I can't find his profile))
((I can't find his profile))
((Tried to copy and paste. Phone hates GR. Scroll down on the first page. Under Ben and Craig. If you can't find him, he's a witch.))
Joe looked up at the guy and gave a half smile. "Please do," he gestured to where Nathaniel would play and popped in the tokens needed to start it. He grabbed the puck and sat it in the middle. "My friends and I uses to see who could get it first to start the game." He arched his brows and readied himself to get the puck.

Nathaniel nodded. "One the count of three, then?" Nathaniel readied himself to get the puck first.
Joe nodded slowly with narrowed eyes in good humor and amusement. "One...two..."
"Three" Nathaniel said right before he hit the puck immediately into Joe's goal. Nathaniel had quick reflexes and a bit of luck when it went into the goal. Nathaniel smiled. "I think I can get used to this game."
Joe nodded in approval. "All right, all right. Let's get to it." He hit the puck back, and they began their dual. Nathaniel was pretty good, Joe decided. "What's your name, man?" He asked while focusing on nothing but the puck and Nathaniel's answer.
"Nathaniel" He said, not letting the puck out his sight. After they hit the puck back and forth about 50 times, Nathaniel made his move. With more force than before, he hit the puck at an angle he thought would gain him a goal. Nathan and grossly miscalculated. The puck hit the side of the table, hit into Joe's corner, hit the side again, hit the opposite side of the table, hit the front of Joe's paddle and went cleanly into Nathaniel's goal, thus gaining Joe a point.
Joe watched the puck shooting around and landing in Nathaniel's goal. "Hey, don't give me pity points," he smiled, his eyes crinkling at the sides. "I'm Joe, if you wanted to know."
"Well you definitely don't seem average, Joe" Nathaniel said with a smile. This seemed to be going well. Nathaniel pulled out the puck and hit it to Joe.
"Not the average Joe. Hardy har. Haven't heard that one before," Joe said sarcastically, but in a good manner. He hit the puck back. "What are you here for, or what is your species?"
"Well, I'm a Magician despite the fact that my file will adamantly call me a Witch. I'm only here because the rest of my League is here. I'd much rather be in Egypt.
"Really?" Joe nodded out of interest and respect. "I'm a witch, but my childhood friends and wife call me a magician." He chuckled and looked intensely at Nathaniel's goal. "We're not too different from one another."
Nathaniel hit the puck back. "I guess not." Nathaniel smiled. It always felt good to make a friend.
The puck went into Joe's goal because he wasn't paying attention to his. He snapped his fingers and pulled the puck back out to start again. "Is this your first year?"
Joe nodded, "I don't know much about it because I'm new too, but I heard that the Government is involved. I don't really know. Maybe the Government is taking away our funding or something."
"The Government doesn't fund the school. If they did they we wouldn't have this arcade and we'd have a free/reduced lunch option." Natahaniel said. He did not at all like the American public school system.
"Ah. I hadn't thought about that. Well," Joe stopped moving his paddle and pursed his lips. "Some of us were placed in the basement. We thought there was going to be a party. Turns out, they were just trying to 'keep us safe'. I don't know what from."
"Maybe it's some kind of attack happening." Nathaniel said stopping the puck by putting his paddle on top of it. "But it's not important enough to freak out."
"An attack?" Joe let go of his paddle and looked towards the doors. "What kind of attack wouldn't be important enough to freak out about?" He looked back over at Nathaniel with wide eyes.
Joe's brows furrowed, and he looked at the air hockey table. "Should we do something? Do you think they need help?"
Nathaniel pondered on Joe's question. "I'm almost positive that if any students or teachers were going to stop the Government's attack, they'd already have been preselected in the event of something like this occurring. That's what I'd do. Have like a small group of students and teachers that would defend Groversdale no matter what."
((I think I just of a more sensible reason certain students and teachers would dare to rescue The Headmaster in a distant-but-not-too-distant future))

"Hmm, yeah. I guess you're right." Joe looked at the puck and sighed. "I'll let you have the winning title if you join me for something other than arcade games. I've been here for about two or three hours now. You want to go get something to eat or go anywhere else but here?" He thought about it for a moment and stuck his hands in his pockets. "I'd understand if you didn't want to. We did just meet, but I already consider you a friend."
((Like what?))
((Like what?))
((Joe almost sounded dirty: Something other than arcade games))
Nathaniel pit the puck into his own goal and said "I assume you know a place?" He adjusted his shirt.
((That was the idea: Nathaniel pondered on Joe's question. ((Hahahahahahaha!))
"Uh," Joe tapped his chin and nodded. "There are a few places. Do you like Subway?" He started to walk towards the door of the arcade and waited for Nathaniel to join him. He had to admit, Nathaniel was not bad to look at.
((Ohhhhhh! Hmmm, yeah! I think we should add some and take away some, though, huh?))

Nathaniel nodded "They have a few good options that I'd like to try." He followed Joe, not expecting to find himself 'enjoying the view'.
((And I meant sparate from this group that's headed for the Gov right now. Maybe most the teachers have a meeting and decide who is best suited to being in this group in the event of anything like this occurring again.))
((That is a wonderful idea, and one example of why Diana and I chose you to be a Mod. [Your people skills got me hooked right away.]))
((I shall post at Subway!))

((Aww thanks[Define people skills. Could it have more that one meaning *raises eyebrows in a creepy way*]))
Jonesy entered the arcade with Thomas, looking at all the gaming systems and such. "Cool," she said simply.
Jonesy shrugged and walked over to the Space Invaders machine. "This is probably the only game in here that I'm decent at. I'm better with Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation games...I also like Solitaire." She touched the box and looked at him. "Where is the token machine? I'll get us a few tokens."
Jonesy put in a few fives to get them tokens and trotted right back over. She split the tokens evenly and handed him his share. "Let the games begin."
They began playing. Jonesy was a rockstar at this.
((I wanna make the transition soon. I guess after the Assembly.))

((All right. Sounds lovely))
(Thank you, narrator.) Jonesy was enjoying her time with Thomas. "Um, my powers are kind of useless now without you being a spirit," she said randomly.
