Allison hid herself behind a stack of books as close to the door as possible. She had to be careful, if she moved at just the wrong time she'd be seen without a doubt. At least, unlike Oliver, she was less likely to knock over the stack she was behind.

((Sorry Christmas has been hectic :)))Accidentally tripping over a shorter stack Oliver launched the book he had been holding straight at the vampire. He cursed under his breath and shrunk back against the back.

((Don't worry about it ^_^))Bastian turned just as a book came flying at him and hit him in his trim jawline. He frowned and walked towards the direction the book had come from, his fangs gleaming slightly.
Seeing the direction he was headed, Allison snatched a book from the top of the stack she was behind and threw it at the back of the vampire's head. It was getting lighter, and soon it would be much more difficult for them to keep hiding.
Taking a huge risk Oliver slipped his hat down so it covered more of his face and quickly pushed himself off the wall. He sped behind the man, hopefully fast enough for him to keep heading in the direction he was. He slid behind a book shelf across from his sister and mouthed "We need that book!" toward her as he pointed at the brown bound that had hit the blood-sucker in the face.
Bastian whirled around at the sound of footsteps and slipped on a fallen book. Cursing softly he stood back up, having missed the boy running past.
Knowing that at this point it would be practically impossible for them to grab the book without being caught, Allison looked up at Adar, who was still sitting perfectly still up and relatively out of sight. "Can you get it?" She whispered. Adar stared down, silently calculating what it would take for him to be able to grab the book and toss it at them without being seen.
"This is way more fun than it should be." Oliver laughed as he looked from Alli to Adar, then to the bloodsucker in the middle of the room.
Bastian walked towards where he thought the footsteps had headed towards, leaving the book behind. ((Btw, I'm curious, what is the book they need?))
((I dunno, something about Fae. We'll figure that out in a bit I guess.))Adar swooped down as soon as Bastian's back was turned, lifting the book and circling around the shop to keep to of sight. He dropped it into Allison's hands and she nodded to her brother. Now they only needed to make it to the door, and then they would be able to make a run for it and slip back into the tunnels.
Oliver let out a slow breath, which he hadn't realized he had been holding. He looked towards the door, hoping they could get to it before the vampire tried to eat them whole.
Bastian was, unfortunately, heading in the wrong direction, and stumbled towards the back of the store. Mumbling angrily as he tripped over books, he headed into the shadows.
"Now." Allison whispered, running towards the door on her toes as to not make any noise. She yanked it open, jumping as it squeeked, though it hadn't made a sound before.
Oliver nodded and followed his sister as quickly, but not quite as silently.
Hearing the door, Bastian swirled around. "Damn," he thought to himself. Then he recognised the forms in the doorway. "Come back here you little hooligans! You little, mirror brats!"
Normally Allison would have answered with a witty remark before exiting, but this time she simply wanted to get back to the hideout. Not even turning around she darted forward, towards the alley that contained an entrance. She stopped once she was in the shadows, but quickly realized that as long as the vampire could see them they couldn't possibly go down without making one of their main tunnels obvious. "What do we do now? We can't just go anyway and collapse it later!"
Completely ignoring his sister Oliver rounded on the vampire "Mirror brats? You've got tour terminology wrong I think bloodsucker!" he said loudly as he followed Allison.
Bastian snarled and ran after them, but tripped again on a pile of books. Cursing he picked himself up off the ground, not seeing which way they went.
Allison watched for another minute, making sure that he hadn't seen where they were. She sighed, turning to Oliver and hitting him in the head with the book. "You idiot!" She said, though it came out louder than she mean for it to she didn't notice.
"What? You get just as annoyed as I do!" Oliver said as he pushed the book back at Alli.
Bastian looked out the door for the twins, but they were out of site. He went back into the store and began cleaning up the mess they had made of his fantasy section. He also began doing an inventory to see if they had stolen any books.
"Yeah but just them wasn't a good thing time to do that." Allison rolled her eyes and pulled open the entrance to the tunnel and jumped down.
"I wonder how fast it's going to take him to figure out what's missing." Oliver grinned as he followed his sister.
Bastian began stacking the books, when he noticed a thin sliver of sunlight creeping towards him. He hissed, almost cat-like at the light and checked his new pocket watch. He decided to finish the next night, and headed off to his bed after locking the door.

After she left the twins, Hannah went straight towards Bastian's bookstore, a frown creasing her brow. She should've known better, but her frustration was to no end. She wanted to scream and stomp her feet, and just throw a childish tantrum. But she kept her calm, the only indication of her irritation being her clenched fists. When she approached the door, she rapped more sharply than she meant to and waited to see if Bastian was actually there.
Hearing the rap on the door, Bastian marked the page in the book he had been reading and walked to the door. He opened it to find Hannah standing there, looking slightly ticked off. He held open the door to let her in and gave her a smile. He had changed out of his dinner jacket and was in a simple button down shirt, trousers, and his suspenders. "Come in, come in, I've just put on a pot of tea."
Seeing Bastian, Hannah visibly brightened and she beamed at him. "Wonderful. And thank you, Bastian," she said, stepping inside and looking around his store. "It's been ages since I last saw you," she added jokingly.
"Oh ages." Bastian said, closing the door behind her. He pulled up a chair near the check-out counter. "Sit down, I'll be right back with the tea." Going behind the shop to the kitchen he brought back a large pot and two cups and saucers. "Cream or sugar?"
"Sugar," she called after him, looking around at the books as she took her seat. It must be wonderful to understand so many books. If only she knew how to read herself. Hannah was sure that it could give a person an edge in life with such a simple thing as understanding letters.
Coming back to the front room Bastian deposited the pot and saucers, placing the cups on them and filling then with the hot black liquid. He slid a cup, and a tin of sugar cubes to Hannah. Taking his own cup he pulled a small vial of red liquid from a pocket and poured some of the liquid into the cup, swirling it in with a spoon, and mixing it with the cream.
Watching his practiced movements, Hannah added two sugar cubes in her cup, then stirred it in slowly. As always, she was tempted to pop a cube straight into her mouth, but she resisted the childish urge. Instead, she directed her attention to the store. "Quite a collection you have here. Do you have anymore books about faeries?"
"I may have some, none as extensive as the book the mirror twins stole however." Bastian said, frowning. He took a sip of his tea and placed the cup back on the saucer.
"I'll take whatever I can get. Maybe you can show them to me sometime." She took a sip of her tea to mask the irritation that came to her face again. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she smiled over at Bastian. "This is lovely tea, by the way."
Allison made her way through the tunnels leading up to the entrance nearest to the shop. Waiting a second for Oliver to catch up, she slowly opened the hidden door, peeking out to make sure there wasn't anyone who could see them.
Oliver poked his sister in the back as he caught up, he had been arguing with Adar a few feet behind her. Now silent he looked out the crack she had opened and pushed the hidden door the rest of the way since nobody seemed to be there. "Don't get yourselves killed." Adar said, though he didn't really sound like he meant of positively.

Bastian nodded. "I will of course. Next time though, when I've searched through my books." He said, gesturing to the shelves and shelves of books and scrolls.
Hannah smiled. "Yes, next time would be probably better. I did barge in, so I suppose you wouldn't have had a chance to look around," she commented, sipping her tea. As she sat there across from him, letting the sweet tea fill her mouth, Hannah could feel her irritation ebb away. She certainly will never see the twins again if she could help it.
"Tell him that." Allison muttered, shooting a glance at Oliver. Stepping out quietly she made her way forward, staring across the street trying to see what was going on through the shop window. She could tell there was movement, though that was just about it since they were too far to easily make anything out.

"Adar, go knock on the door, stir some things up." Oliver said with a wide grin, Adar opened his beak to say something then closed it again and went and tapped it hard on the front door of the shop. "Come on." Oliver said, pulling his sister behind a barrel across the street while Adar fluttered up to site on top of the door frame.
Bastian smiled happily at her, noting that she was relaxing. He was glad that he could help his friend loose her stress, and happy he now had two people to talk to who had accepted him. "Would you like anything to eat with the tea? A biscuit or something?"
"Though I probably shouldn't after having that cake earlier, yes, I would like something," Hannah replied, giving a small laugh and smiled back. She had no idea what the twins saw when they saw Bastian. He was the sweetest man, well, vampire, she had ever met and she could never see him as the monster they described him to be.
Allison followed, looking up again once they had stopped. "Nothing, try it again." She whispered as she looked through the window, seeing the two had apparently not noticed the noise. Adar tapped his beak on the door again, this time slightly harder to try and get their attention.
"He probably trying to kill her in there, maybe we should try and bust her out." Oliver said with a grimace, he didn't even want to imagine what damage a vampire could do.
