Why does everyone hate Piper?

I like Piper. She's not my favorite character, but she takes 4th.

Also, Piper's life is much easier than Annabeth's, Reyna's or Hazel's, so she is much less mature than them. An example of this is shown when she is wondering whether Jason loves her while everyone else is trying to save their lives.

That's all I really need to say to get my point across.
But sometimes people ask for a reason.
And I'm about to give you a few.
1) Now, I understand that she's a daughter of Aphrodite and everything, and I know that she really hates that, and tries to be everything a daughter of Aphrodite isn't, but that just makes her act more like a daughter of Aphrodite.
Piper is absolutely obsessed with Jason Grace, and that makes me want to rip her hair out. I mean, yeah, I know she can't help but be jealous of Percy and Annabeth's relationship, or even Frank and Hazel's, but they all have something she and Jason dont have: a natural relationship. Piper's head is filled with false memories of Jason, so when Jason gets his memory back, he really only remembered what happened after he lost his memory, you know what I mean?
Piper wonders why Jason seems so platonic, and that's because she seems so devoted to him, as if she's metal, and he's a magnet, and she can't let go of him. Jason is obsessed with keeping everyone alive, (though that isn't his job) and Piper is obsessed with living in the moment.
2) Piper acts like she's been through so much in the Mark of Athena. She goes on and on about how much she's been through, whereas Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Hazel, Leo, and even Frank have been through way more than her. I just hate how she feels sorry for herself after just one quest, you know?
3) My final reason, though there are many more. I hate how in the Lost Hero, Piper started talking about how people who wanted to be rich and famous should just "drop their dreams, because it's not all it's cracked up to be. " I bet she just crushed thousands of dreams across the globe.
I'll ask you one thing, Piper:
Would you rather live in a huge house with all the food you can eat and money to keep you living, or on the streets with only the clothes on your back and a few bucks to buy gum at the Seven Eleven?
I bet she'd say the second one, because she'd think it'd be "fun."
Let's see how fun it is when you throw your father's money out the window and actually have to live like that. No one will feel "sorry for you" then.
I rest my case, and my throbbing hands from typing.

That's all I really need to say to get my point across.

so true

lol ya

I already said this on the Jason thread but I’ll gladly say it again...
Because with the exception of Leo and Reyna, none of the newly introduced characters are well liked by fans. Most people absolutely hate Piper and Jason, for really dumb reasons I might add. Hazel and Frank are treated more with indifference and boredom but still not exactly liked and definitely not loved. I don't really get it either because I do like those characters, particularly Jason and Piper. Though more separately than together as a couple if that makes sense.

The two people on top have always been Percy and Annabeth. (At least that's what it was for me) So I guess that's why....i really don't know, but I just don't like her. Sorry Piper, I tried.
