I was asked by an author friend to combine editions of a book but after I looked into it I realized that one of the entries was added by mistake.

This book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... is the only available edition of this book. It was published only on Amazon under the KDP select program. No other version is out there. It was originally added without a cover. I updated the record with the Amazon cover.

This book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... was added as ebook version without ISBN. It does have a review though so I am leaving it to the pros to figure out what to do in this case.

The incomplete one has a bungled-up ISBN-10. It should start with a 4 since it's a Japanese book, but what's in the ISBN-10 field appears to be the first ten digits of the ISBN-13. The complete one already has that ISBN-13 (the entire, correct 13-digit one). Thanks!

The librarian note is referring to keeping the book's primary edition (this one: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...) as the UK edition. Right now someone has switched the cover to the US cover. I don't really know if this edition should be the US or UK one: it has the UK ISBN but it's probably just because it was the first number that was available and it was attached to this primary edition months ago. Right now it has the US cover with the UK ISBN, so something needs to be corrected.

What I was requesting back in message 320 is regarding two other editions:

I undid the cover change in the second edition to reflect that it's the UK edition (it's had the UK Hardcover's ISBN since it was created), but someone else changed it back (sigh). The first one is just listed as 'UK Hardcover' with no ISBN (so they should be the same edition). Hopefully someone can correct this and finish the merge, thanks!

It depends. In this case, it had no title, no ISBN, etc.

And the author definitely conclusively stated it won't happen.

So I would delete it, but it's timing out. Adding to the list to be deleted when that issue is fixed.
