I just copied and pasted from the holidays website I use. But you're right, they got the last Friday of the month wrong.

:) Good job finding another pink covered mystery!

Thanks Marisa - I have just been reading a bunch of classics lately, so I know that more cozies will be read soon!

For October, I have been reading my way through a 'witch' themed series. Some of the books fit this month's themes.
October is Clergy Appreciation Month- The Witch's Grave by Shirley Damsgaard
Oct 30 is Mischief Night - Charmed to Death by Shirley Damsgaard
Oct 31 - is both Frankenstein Friday and Halloween -
The Trouble With Witches by Shirley Damsgaard

Oops... Almost forgot to post my October challenge books!
October is Clergy Appreciation Month - Read a book . . . that has any member of the clergy (nun, priest, monk, pastor, vicar, etc.) as a character.
Saint's Gate by Carla Neggers -- Revolves around a murder at a convent. Opening scene involves a nun and a former nun turned FBI agent, and there is also a priest in the book. Can't do any better than that!
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Read a book that has PINK in the cover or on the spine.
To Catch a Leaf by Kate Collins
Oct 17 is Wear Something Gaudy Day - Read a book where the person on the cover is wearing something you'd consider gaudy.
I'll have to take a blank for this one. I started a book for it, but have had difficulty getting into it, not even 1/4 of the way done.
Oct 30 is Mischief Night - Read a book where a character could be considered up to no good, causing mischief, etc.
Nightshade on Elm Street by Kate Collins
Oct 31 is both Frankenstein Friday (last Friday in October) and Halloween - Read a book with an orange and/or black cover. Bonus: Read a book centered around either Halloween, All Hallows Eve, or Frankenstein.
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley -- The Oct classics group read. My cover/edition is not in the GR database, but I scanned it to post on my blog a couple weeks ago when I featured it for Teaser Tuesday, so let's hope my measly html skills are working today.

October is Clergy Appreciation Month - Read a book with a church on the cover, or has any member of the clergy (nun, priest, monk, pastor, vicar, etc.) as a character. Doesn't have to be a main character. A member of the community would qualify provided they have a conversation in the book.
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Read a book that has PINK in the cover or on the spine.
Oct 17 is Wear Something Gaudy Day - Read a book where the person on the cover is wearing something you'd consider gaudy. Feel free to share the book cover in your post. BONUS: Wear something colorful and gaudy that day. :)
Oct 30 is Mischief Night - Read a book where a character could be considered up to no good, causing mischief, etc.
Oct 31 - is both Frankenstein Friday (last Friday in October - falls on Halloween this year) and Halloween - Read a book with an orange and/or black cover. Bonus: Read a book centered around either Halloween, All Hallows Eve, or Frankenstein.
Enjoy!
