Thanks. I was told to try one of her other series by someone else too. I like the Razorland series and I am enjoying the ARCOS series as Larissa Ione is one of my fav writers. That is why I will try STephanie Tyler in Jan as she is the other member of Sydney Croft.

Dire Needs (Eternal Wolf Clan, #1) by Stephanie Tyler is a book that I have (I think)

Just wait Ezi - they get so much better (LOL) as they get older. Hubby went on one last year with 5th graders. Hubby had to keep track of not only his own group but the umm *other moms/teacher* weren't watching their groups either. Lets also just say as they get older the volume in the bus tends to go up - even on the ride back to school when you are wiped out. I just always have to keep my evil grin to myself every time he *volunteers* himself, lol

I'm more than willing to volunteer for Girl Scout or Boy Scout or my daughters Lego League where it is way less kids to help with, lol

Week 3:
Roll 7 – Moving to Space #31
Seduced by the Storm (ACRO, #3) by Sydney Croft
Read:
Seduced by the Storm (ARCOS, Book 3) by Sydney Croft
Finished: 10/29
Rating & Review: ★★★★
This book was good. Wyatt Kennedy, an ex-navy seal, but now ARCO agent, was sent to destroy a machine that affect the weather by producing disasters like tornadoes etc. His super power is “Telekenesis and Pheromone release”, which is pretty hot! A side effect of Wyatt’s love mojo is that his sexual partners don’t remember him after their encounter. So basically, it leaves him unmemorable:D
On this current mission, he meets and beds an undercover agent Faith Black and the next morning she remembers their tryst. Wyatt knows then that he can’t let her get away. Bu they are vying for the same equipment, so can they work if they are on opposite sites?

Also in this book, we finally have a real breakthrough with Annika & Creed’s relationship. Some real discussion and sharing, and we find out more about their pasts. These two are now officially a couple, but the road isn’t smooth as Creed’s ghost Kat is not the sharing type.

Oz and Dev’s strange relationship continued in this one too. I want to like them, but so much of their relationship is steeped in mystery and secrets. They both are trying to protect the other by doing stuff being the other’s back. I did feel really bad about what happened to them though.
The writing was still good, a lot of sex but a lot of plot development too, so I was pleased. I look forward to continuing with this series.

I just bought Lucky Stars as I don't have it yet. Unfortunately - Fairytale come Alive isn't at that price yet at Barnes and Noble or iBook store :(
I'll keep checking back

Debbie (Doc) | 1496 comments Wild Cat (Shifters Unbound, #3) by Jennifer Ashley
4.5 Stars Rounded to 5

Here Kitty Kitty… Wildcat is book 3 in Shifters Unbound series. Each book in this series is better than the one before. Cassidy is grieving her mate’s death, even after three years, and runs into some trouble with the human law on her own. Before Cassidy realizes it, Detective Diego, who just happens to be a hot sexy human, has her handcuffed and in the back of a squad car. Luckly for Cassidy, she had saved Diego before he cuffed her and decided not to turn her into the Shifter Division. This book has several storylines – all ending up in the same spot. One can easily forget reality and be swept up in a place that believes in magic and shifters. I can easily envision wildcats sprawled out on the den floor watching tv or toying with cat nip. This is by far one of my favorite series of the year, and I read a lot of series but never tend to finish them. If the other books in this series are any indications of the first 3, I will finish before the first of the year!

This book is filled with hot romance, action, and a big dose of imagination! What a fun and delightful read.

Roll 7 – Moving to Space #31

Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #3) by Kevin Hearne
3rd in the series
Finished 10/29/13
Rating: 4♥

Review: This starts of basically after #2 ends. Atticus has promised a golden apple from Asgard to Laksha and assiting with bringing Leif & Gunnar to Thor for their assistance with the witches and Hammers of God in the last book. As always I love a romp through Atticus' and Oberon's world with a side dish of all the secondary characters. Atticus bites off a little more than he can chew with giving his oath/promise to his friends. He obtains the golden apple for Laksha but in the process is seen by Odin and Hugnin as well as ends up getting Ratatosk (the large squirrel that guards the Tree of Life) killed. Didn't quite go as he planned. Ends up getting a visit from both the Morrigan and Jesus Christ telling him that his mission to take out Thor with his buddies is not going to end well. They see visions of futures that won't include Atticus. Also, the widow McDonough is dying and he still needs to teach Grainuille in the way of the druid. All in a days work for Atticus. It is unclear what the future will hold for Atticus and his friends.

I think Pat has read farther into this series than I have. She might know if he "gets a girl" or "some action"

Roll 7 - Space #31
Perfectly Matched (The Blue Willow Brides, #3) by Maggie Brendan
Perfectly Matched (The Blue Willow Brides #3) by Maggie Brendan
Finished: 10/31
Rating: ★★★★

REVIEW:

Perfectly Matched is the third book in The Blue Willow Brides series and it is by far the one I most enjoyed - though that's not saying much, considering I only somewhat enjoyed the first one and strongly disliked the second.

I loved how this book begins right in the middle of Anna and Edward's wedding ceremony. Immediately both characters personalities and quirks were apparent which was great. I especially loved what Edward gives Anna when he takes her to their home for the first time - it made me laugh so much!

Anna is such a sweet character! I loved her heart for caring for stray animals and to stop animals from being abused. However, several times she referred to animals as both "dumb animals" & "God's dumb creatures" which I found to be both annoying and completely opposite of the way she behaved. I think she meant that they were helpless and we needed to take care of them, but the terminology wasn't one I would have ever used - it just sounds mean.

Edward is a great character too, even though at first I wasn't to sure about him. It becomes evident how much he cares for Anna and the lengths he is willing to go to make her feel happy and loved.

There is a bit of an age discrepancy for Anna between this book and Deeply Devoted , the first book in the series. Deeply Devoted takes place in the spring of 1887 and Anna is fifteen. However in Perfectly Matched, which is set fall 1888, Anna is seventeen and turns eighteen towards the end of the story (around November the same year). I personally see no way for this to work, but this is just a small issue - it took away nothing from the story except that it made me check to see if I was mistaken about her age in the other book.

One of the things I didn't care for in the book was the constant repetitive sentences. A person would say something to someone then later that someone would say nearly the exact same thing to the original person and then the original person would behave as though they had never heard/thought of it before - even though chapters before they said it! Another thing I didn't care for was how characters would say something which, to me, came across as they were angry then the other character would say something snippy back and then they would both smile at each other as if nothing bad was said to each other - and they weren't acting, they meant it. Both of these thing were very annoying to say the least!

If you enjoy reading mail-order novels, you would probably find this one to be a nice read. The books in this series can be read out of order, in my opinion, and you wouldn't miss anything and the only things spoiled for you would be who ends up with whom but that's something you can usually figure out just by reading the back cover.

***I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - which I have done.***

REVIEW:

A fabulous conclusion to a great trilogy! I loved reading Emerald Green so much and hated it when I reached the end, since I knew that this was it there would be no more about these characters. My suspicions from the previous novel were correct! I love when that happens, but only when it's not completely obvious and this wasn't! Xemerius again made me laugh so much, he's such a great addition to this story!

I recommend this fantastic series to anyone who loves tales about time travel.

PepperP0t Moving to Space #: 37
Book Read: Down by the River by Robyn Carr (book 3 of the series)
Date Finished: October 31
Rating: 3.5stars
"Thumbnail Review: This installment is the end of the Green Valley trilogy where Jim finally comes to live with Doctor June and his appearance shocks the town and gives them plenty of fodder for the small town gossip mill. Caring, capable and presumed spinster June Hudson can no longer keep her relationship with retired DEA agent Jim Post secret - her pregnancy is showing and he's more than ready to be a husband and father.
All of my issues with this read really boils down to one issue, the town is much too perfect. The divorced pastor gambles away the money and borrows from everyone in town but nobody has an issue with it. (really? nobody?) I confess I haven't read the other books of the series (I read this one as a good deed and luckily it fit a challenge). The writing style was breezy and the storyline fun, it seemed to include favorites from the series giving everyone a chance to wave goodbye. The picture perfect sunshine-y bright town gets an opportunity to really pull together and show what community spirit means to them in the last few chapters with the tying off of loose ends. I could see this being a rainy day read or an I-can't-sleep-read but this isn't a series for me. I need more flaws than I found in Grace Valley.

PepperP0t I think it was the divorced, gambling, lying, money borrowing preacher that absolutely no one in town had an issue with that convinced me this small town was nuts or its a place you shouldn't drink the water or breathe the air. how many times have there been 5 people facing a situation and they are all completely in agreement with each other. call me a cynical troublemaker, I'm looking for the dissenter (or the liar)

I enjoyed it. I still haven't met Anita the garden tool. She has only been with Jean Claude, but Richard still wants her. I did want Anita to get back with Richard, but she doesn't respect him and talks to him like he is 2yrs old, so that won't work. I don't like that she has power in the pack. Anita is starting to remind me of Sookie with her hands in every supernatural pot around town. But Anita STILL annoys me in a way Sookie never did.

Anita thinks she is so badass and her firearm with silver makes her strong. Despite my rants, the story had action and was engaging. I just want Anita to be humbled a little bit (any of that violence that was going on in this book).

Quick summary: Some firestarter is running around town frying folks and Anita is on the case. Plus, the vampire council has arrived in town, wanting to feed on the community and Jean Claude is quaking in his boots AND Richard has his hands full with his pack. Anita has so much drama everywhere but give it to the girl, she knows how to get things done!

I can't wait to see what continues to develop with Richard's pack, and with Anita/Jean Claude.
