Eve Monroe is a stock-car PR pro who puts her career first--until an on-track wardrobe malfunction reveals more than the sexy smile of jackman Nolan Ford. The video's become an internet sensation, and it's Eve's job to calm the sponsors and put a spin on the unexpected exposure.
And they both have the same drive.

You know when a series becomes successful, it becomes kind of never ending and maybe people think it is successful so let us give the readers what they want, the content and quality be damned, that is exactly what happened with this series. I am not questioning how good a writer Erin McCarthy is, because I really like her books but I have not been blind to the flaws in her recent books
a)they have been really short
b)I have hated the heroine's, being loud-mouthed is one thing but bitch ...more
I really enjoyed this, and it’s definitely an improvement over the last couple of books in the series. Nolan and Eve were a lot of fun together and their romance was engaging and steamy. I loved the snappy dialogue and funny banter between all the characters. Nolan and Eve’s Oktoberfest outing was fantastic...one of the best date scenes that I’ve read.
Nolan was such a sweet, goofy, playful, easygoing, charming, fun-loving, and all around nice guy and an almost too ...more
DNF @50% I tried, I really, reaaalllly tried. This used to be a 'must read' author for me, and I was soooo hoping to get that spark back. But I hated the bitchy, whiny heroine, which made the hero's attraction to someone like her all the more odd for me. The plot was also absurd, and not pulling me in.
This was a quick read by the pool. I loved this series and based on the lack of a teaser about the next in the series, it sounds like the author may not continue with it. We get a bit of a Rhett tease, but we are not given enough to really warm to him, so not sure what she'll do. She has a book blurb in the back for a "ghost" story. Read it and won't buy it. Ugh... What is it with the whole "Ghost an Mrs. Muir" thing everyone tries. Yuck... [coming off of Kristen Ashley's "Lacybourne Mano ...more
What can i say... Nolan is such a sweetie, he's the only one who seems to understand Evie and doesn't IMMEDIATELY classify her as a ball-busting b***h. Its was nice to see Evie start to learn to let loose, let her hair down and figure out that it was time to stop trying to please everyone else and do somet ...more
Her brother Evan's jackman Nolan has been watching her for a while and wants her but she is too high up for him to reach..except..he is perfect for her.
Rich girl, poor boy. At first I could not take Eve at all, such a bitch. Nolan sees the unhappy woman under the rough exterior, good for him I couldn't for a while. Nolan is hot sweet and a ...more
Jacked Up is the sixth book in Erin McCarthy’s Fast Track series. I have to say I was a bit nervous about reading this one. I adored the first two books in this series. Really, I just adored them. (Any fan of contemporary romance books need to give them a try). The third book was cute but it missed a certain something that was found in the first two books. Then came the fourth book. I was thoroughly enjoying this book until the very end when (spoiler he ...more

Then they were in.
So they made out.
Nolan hadn't spent this much time in a frantic lip-lock with a girl since high school. He'd forgotten how exciting it was to just kiss and not skip straight to the good stuff. Kissing his wife had that same feeling as kissing his girlfriend back in the day had. It was worshipful, awed, desperate, wanting more, yet at the same time, wanting t
I seem to be one of the few people who didn't particularly care for this book. Oh well.
Sixth book in Erin McCarthy's NASCAR-centered contemporary romance series. I think you could read this one without having read the others first.
Eve Monroe is a NASCAR PR whiz, focusing on keeping her two brother's career's in line. So when one of the pit crew members for one of her brother's teams has major wardrobe malfunction on national TV, it's Eve's job to try to get the ...more
There is something about fast cars, being around the racetrack and even a little bit of grease that I just find irresistible, and there is no better series to fulfill that need than the Fast Track series. With some light humor, romance, sexual tension and a good storyline, I usually find myself anxiously awaiting the next book. And JACKED UP did not disappoint!

This was a fun if slightly uncomfortable read with the uncomfortable due to Eve's personality and the different perspective we get. I do wish McCarthy had gone a little deeper with Nolan's discomfort with Eve's higher income. Although, she did find an easy out with Eve's eventual choice at the end. It certainly solved a cause ...more
I did not like Eve! I can understand the whole work a holic thing but she was over the top. I felt that there was not one thing that I could like about Eve. I felt so bad for Nolan. He was so nice and all Eve did was call him names and be a bitch. I found it hard to believe that Nolan was 33 and has never been married and waited his whole life to be treated like crap. this book didn't do it for me. There wasn't even that much steam or love scenes. The previous books seemed to have a lot more.
I have been a fan of Erin McCarthy's Fast Track since Book One, Flat Out Sexy. She writes about men who have such Southern charm, down-home appeal and throws in a shot of dirty boy smexiness that has me fanning myself. And what's more--her characters are flawed. They have problems; excessive drinking, womanizing, prideful stubbornness, control issues, etc...you name it. It makes it easy for the reader to slip inside their fictional "w ...more
Let me start off by saying that I really like Erin McCarthy, but I cannot stand Eve. This story makes no sense to me. I understand wanting to create obstacles and difficulties that they have to overcome to be together, but this is ridic ...more
Who ever thought something like a man ripping his pants and bearing his delicious rear end to millions of people would lead to something like love?? Well, that's the story of how Eve got jackman, Nolan Ford...
What started as an argument of Eve yelling to Nolan to wear underwear... (awkward), ended in Nolan asking her on a date. The rest is history!
As far as the characters go, Eve was actually pretty difficult to like because she was so difficult... yes, I do realize that was intentional. Nolan,
Favorite line - “He was a glass half full kind of person and she was...what? The glass is going to break before you can even pour kind of person. Yikes."
Favorite Character - Nolan
I have read quite a few books by this author but none in this series previous to this one. It was fine as a stand-a-lone book, i did however wish a wee bit i had read some of the other stories but that was because the other woman seemed nice :)

Erin McCarthy has the ability to take the bitchiest of heroines and make you like them. Let there be no mistake, Eve Monroe is about as bitchy of a heroine as anyone could stand. And yet we can all sympathize with her as the book progresses. I liked the banter. I liked the sex. I liked the story.
The ending felt rushed and a couple of loose ends I would have liked to have seen tied but overall satisfactory. We'll ca ...more
It just ppl plain and simple, they make mistakes, they move too fast, they misunderstand, and they forgive and love and kiss and have crazy hot sex.
Nolan, Evan's jackman, falls for his boss sister, uptight potty mouthed Eve. Difference is he's the only one that gets her to be herself.
Another great book for this series, I seriously can't wait for the next book, I need Rhett's story ASAP!
