Thanks! The first book in the series, Deeply Devoted, wasn't too bad - just kind of corny. So I am hoping the third book will be closer to that one, or a lot better! Though, I kind of doubt it will be. I wasn't required to read the whole series, but I hate to read books out of order and these were mail-order bride novels which I usually love and I could borrow both of them, so at least that's a plus :)

Megan (celtic_girl) | 586 comments I rolled the die and it was a 6. So we are on space 31 and have to read a book that's #1, #3, or #31 in a series or the alternate item: Location California (as long as your book is set in California either briefly or entirely).

Team 7 - Se7en Deadly Sins
Roll 7: 6
Space: 31

Debbie: Wild Cat (Shifters Unbound #3) by Jennifer Ashley
Finished 10/30 ★★★★ 1/2 Post 415

Megan: Perfectly Matched (The Blue Willow Brides #3) by Maggie Brendan
Finished 10/31 ★★★★ Post 426

~Melissa~: Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles #3) by Kevin Hearne
Finished 10/29 ★★★★ Post 417

Ezi: Seduced by the Storm (ACRO #3) by Sydney Croft
Finished 10/29 ★★★★ Post 407

Pat: Lacybourne Manor (Ghosts and Reincarnation #3) by Kristen Ashley
Finished 10/27 ★★★ 3/4 Post 394

Wild Cat (Shifters Unbound, #3) by Jennifer Ashley Perfectly Matched (The Blue Willow Brides, #3) by Maggie Brendan Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #3) by Kevin Hearne Seduced by the Storm (ACRO, #3) by Sydney Croft Lacybourne Manor (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #3) by Kristen Ashley

message 366: by Megan (new)

Megan (celtic_girl) | 586 comments I'm going to read either Perfectly Matched (The Blue Willow Brides, #3) by Maggie Brendan or Emerald Green (Precious Stone Trilogy, #3) by Kerstin Gier - I'm going to read both this week so it just depends on which one is more interesting and I can read faster :)

message 367: by Ezi, Factory Superintendent (new)

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) | 16657 comments Mod
I will read book 3: Horde (Razorland, #3) by Ann Aguirre (Razorland series) or Seduced by the Storm (ACRO, #3) by Sydney Croft (ARCOS series)

message 368: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t hey womenfolk. I have no idea what I'm gonna read. This week's roll gives me so many choices - I'll decide on something today and post, but I wanted you to know I saw the update.

I liked the ACROS series Ezi, I thought there was gonna be another release in it.

Megan I hope this book is better than the last. If not I still have more eyewash. I haven't had to use it lately

message 369: by Debbie (Doc) (new)

Debbie (Doc) | 1496 comments I will decide sometime today also. I chaperoned the high school band last night for their final competition of the season and got home at 4:15 this am. Won't be doing much but reading today!

Megan (celtic_girl) | 586 comments Pat wrote: "Megan I hope this book is better than the last. If not I still have more eyewash. I haven't had to use it lately "

Thanks :) I'm sure if I go with Emerald Green it will be, it's just the last book in the series, Perfectly Matched, I'm a little concerned about but I've got to get it read.

message 371: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments Hmmm....decisions, decisions..... I thought we would still be in the 2's. Have to think about what I will read. Will let you know later.

@Debbie - wow that's a late night/early morning depending. Hope it was fun.

message 372: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t Ezi -- I read Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas and liked it a lot! (see Megan, no eyewash)

I'm still trying decide between 4 books:
Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas Lacybourne Manor (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #3) by Kristen Ashley Thomas's Choice (Scanguards Vampires #8) by Tina Folsom The Reluctant Viking (Viking I, #1) by Sandra Hill
I'm determined to stay away from wolves this week! or at least today.

Hope you had fun Debbie. How did they do? Chaperone huh? I hope you remembered how you plotted to get away from the chaperone.

message 373: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments Pat - I don't think Thomas's Choice (Scanguards Vampires #8) by Tina Folsom will work for a 3 or 1?

I'm looking at Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #3) by Kevin Hearne Midnight Man (Midnight, #1) by Lisa Marie Rice Grave Memory (Alex Craft, #3) by Kalayna Price Hidden Away (KGI, #3) by Maya Banks

message 374: by Megan (new)

Megan (celtic_girl) | 586 comments ~Melissa~ wrote: "Pat - I don't thinkThomas's Choice (Scanguards Vampires #8) by Tina Folsom will work for a 3 or 1?"

It looks like it set in San Francisco so it works for California.

message 375: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments Oh - my mistake - I didn't even look at the alternate. I think I need another cup of coffee,lol

Then my vote - not like it counts ☺ - goes to Thomas's Choice (Scanguards Vampires #8) by Tina Folsom

message 376: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t you gotta work that TBR Melissa! And Megan's right it is set in San Francisco and works for the alternate. My other choices work for the #3 or the #1 though I have plenty of others I could also choose and we'll get another "3" on Thursday

Melissa if you haven't read it yet it works today. and nobody cares if we both read it - not that I've decided but I'm not leaning that way.

message 377: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments I don't own it - I want you to read it to see how it is,lol
nothing like pressure from another reader :D

Like you I need to read what is on mount TBR. I think I'm gonna go with Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #3) by Kevin Hearne - totally different than what I've been reading lately.

message 378: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t @Melissa not my favorite of the series but better than book 2 (IMO) I hope you enjoy it.
you know I'm too stubborn to be pressured. (*snicker*) I am thinking I'll either go with ghosts or CR and no not to spite you. I'm really thinking CR since I'm not particularly in the mood for supes today.

message 379: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments No worries Pat. I have that ghosts up next in that series but it also works for another challenge and I can't read it yet.
Hope you enjoy your book. I'm looking for some Atticus and Oberon fun

Pat: I vote for Lisa Kleypas because she is the bomb. I've never read Tina Folsom so I don't know.

I just started The Witness by Nora Roberts and I'm loving it. So far, there's no love, just suspense thriller, but the writing is just awesome. Great audio.
My book Horde comes out on Tues, so that's cutting it close, I know. I'll start Seduced by Storm on Tuesday as well. Whichever is finished first, I'll post.

@Melissa, I bought Hammered a year ago for $4.95 on audible (actually I bought books 1-3). I forced myself to finish 1&2.. I can't do 3, not without love.
But I love that dog Oberon:D

@debbie, sleep in. High school band kids are wild...I saw American Pie and my kids are NOT going to band camp.

@Megan, read the crappy book and get it over with. Rip off the band-aid fast and know things will only get better as the week gives on. Make yourself read eat with a bowl of ice cream (just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down)

@Pat: I'm working on a TBR game, so I understand

This is my 2nd year chaperoning and this kids are awesome! They love the band director and won't do anything to upset him. So far (fingers crossed) we have not had any issues at all. Their band camp is at the school - so no over nights - thank goodness. Next year, we are going to London to perform and last year we went to DC - no issues but I was nervous about the dorm idea!!

message 387: by ~Melissa~ (new)

message 388: by PepperP0t (last edited Oct 27, 2013 04:17PM) (new)

PepperP0t band camp in London Wow! and exactly who's chaperoning these "chaperones"? huh, tell me that, who's watching the watchers?

Melissa I decided on the Lacybourne Manor (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #3) by Kristen Ashley and this woman has crossed into the land of the galactically stupid. I'm only 1/3 through it - I'm seriously thinking of DNF'ing it and going to Kleypas. I don't care if these people have a HEA

Megan, may I please borrow the eyewash?

message 389: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments Whoops! You gave up that eyewash too soon, Pat. Crap, I have to read it for another challenge. I can't even think about that now - **shoving** it to the back of my mind....

message 390: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t I so did

she just does something so stupid and then compounds it. maybe i'm not just not in the mood. i'll watch an episode of Spartacus from last night, then either go back to it or pick something else.

Be prepared to hate Glaber, Illythia and her stupid dad all over. I also hated Crixus and Oneameius during this period

message 392: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t but I love Andy's thighs

Megan was hogging the eyewash but I downgraded them to absurd. I have about 100pages left.

PepperP0t Moving to Space #: 31
Book Read: Lacybourne Manor by Kristen Ashley (book 3 of the series)
Date Finished: October 27
Rating: 3.75stars
Thumbnail Review: In a different take on this series the original star crossed lovers of this tale were murdered on their wedding day, but their love was preserved and destined to rekindle when they are both re-incarnated if the witch worked her spell correctly. More than five Hundred years later Royce Morgan's descendant, Colin, and Beatrice Godwin's descendant, Sibyl are in a tangled mess. Colin lives in the historical home but per the terms of inheritance it is open for tours which he is not at all happy about. Colin is in turns charming, infuriating, kind, domineering, a supreme a**hole and the list goes on, the least of which is that he is the intriguingly handsome man of Sibyl's dreams. Sibyl is still looking for her life's direction as she works at the children's and pensioner's center not far from her restored home, she's naive, exceedingly kind, sweet and doesn't always make the right choices. Colin is certain that Sibyl is after the prestige and family fortune he brings to a lasting relationship but is determined to have her. At any cost. Sibyl doesn't understand the mercurial man that has haunted her dreams and but doesn't seem to be able to tamp down he feelings she has for him as they enter an unconventional relationship. Also a dark force is dogging the lovers steps looking for the perfect moment to strike and have history repeat itself.

I went on a school trip with my 1st grader. I think teachers should get raises. One of the girls wouldn't listen, cut in line, would wander off and so I spent more time keeping an eye on her than paying attention to the other 3.

She was a handful in an annoying way
