Charissa (dakinigrl) It's sad. It's as if the part of them that would otherwise contain mirth has, like the heart of the Grinch, shrunken to the size of a dehydrated walnut husk. Perhaps it's the copious amounts of prescription drugs they consume. Or their soulless careers. Or maybe their underwear has risen too far up their fanny and is making them itch but they are too uptight to reach up there and extract it. Whichever, at the end of the day whatever has caused this apocalypse of the soul has left them bankrupt of humanity in any kind of recognizable form. They are like a Cormac McCarthy novel: bleak, bereft, and used as a door stopper.

Charissa (dakinigrl) :::cries because she made Abigail hate her and because she can't really take a joke either, she just pretends to for the children:::

I'll send you some Cormac McCarthy to keep you company in the rigors of hell called your job. Perhaps he will cheer you up!

message 3: by Paul (new)

Paul Bryant I hate people who say they hate things when what they really mean is that these things occasionally irk them, peeve them or get their goat - no, not even their goat, that's too elevated, I should say their squirrel, their vole, their pygmy shrew, should they have one. And I hate people on goodreads who have stupid icons and not photos so you can't tell what they look like and therefore you can't mock them for their hirsute nature or general elderly aspect.

message 4: by mara (last edited Feb 07, 2008 09:46AM) (new)

mara I hate people whose pictures pop up too often. They are online way too much and don't have lives, which makes me think - here I am talking to them - which makes me feel I have no life either. Their self involved ubiquitousness makes their commentary seem more needy than clever. I hate that in writing this I am one of them - will the vicious circle never end!

message 5: by mara (new)

mara Simple Green...that stuff smells so good - like licorice growing in a rainy forest - yum

Like a Cormac McArthy novel it is robust and pungent and thoroughly soul scouring

(Though I'm wondering, if McCarthy's novels are like cleaning fluid, does that make him a toilet brush...)

message 6: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Sorry Donald... I'm reading "The Road" and I go to bed every night with Cormac's words burning a hole into my soul. I think I'm going to be more depressed than people on death row when get done with this book. It's the most bleak thing I've ever read, and I'm sort of obsessed with bleakness, so that's saying a lot.

I hate Stacey Grenrock Woods. She deleted my rather amusing comments simply because she couldn't think of anything funnier to say. I think she probably got thrown off the Daily Show because she was too much of a flaming c**t. I hope her novel is a massive flop and she gets stuck being a sex columnist for Esquire magazine the rest of her life, until she's too pruny for them to employ anymore and she has to go find an even more soulless career.

I hate Cormac McCarthy because he is such a great writer that he makes me continue to read his crappy depressing book even when I'm certain it's going to make me slit my wrists vertically.

message 7: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Thanks Tracy... yeah, she is a complete bitch. I have no idea what crawled up her ass and died, but whatever it was was rather large.

message 8: by Fredstrong (new)

Fredstrong I hate censorship, and things that crawl up people's asses and die, large or small...

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

What the hell, how can she delete anything on a haters club thread... isn't Steve the only god in here? Or, was it on some thread of hers? She didn't seem like the "offendable" type, in fact she was quite rude and crude in her "humor" from what I experienced. She is a bitch! I'll certainly not be buying any books of hers!!

Of course I learned my lesson with buying books by authors on here! (Ellen excluded, I haven't read her book yet, and she's never spammed me. Plus, she actually converses on other books... mostly kids books, but still, books!)

message 10: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) it was on the thread she started. The "I Hate Diablo Cody" thread. I think it's still up. If you go look you can see that all my comments have been deleted. The thread makes no sense now... but you can see what she says to me. Some of it was kind of personal... in a lame kind of way. Too bad... I said some funny shit in that thread. Heh.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

She referred to you as "her audience."

This is never a good sign.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

She has Queen Syndrome!!!! She thinks us peasants are lucky to be privileged with her attention? Bite me! I hate that!! "Audience" my ass!! Audience this *, crack!

message 13: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) dudes, fer serious. And when I posted that I had to admit that she was a better hater than me she didn't even get that I was being all tongue in cheek. it was so sad!! all the mirth in her tiny little body has been sucked out by a stupidity vortex! I think we should take up a collection of mirth and have it airlifted to her house. it's an emergency!!!

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Shit, she did something to it... I was going to leave a new comment on the thread, but the "post a comment" thingy is greyed out and it won't let me. I was going to say:

"Do you know what I hate? I hate people who drop names because they need to feel superior and then act like it's "no big deal", because that makes them look "cool". I hate people who give a lot of shit, but can't take any. I hate people who act like they are better than me when in reality I know that they do it because they hate themselves and their pathetic little lives. That is what I hate!!"

Hmf...the bitch wins again!

message 15: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) I know this is a haters club, but... I love you Amy. <3

message 16: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) LOL Abigail... ::::I obviously have spent way too much time on line trying to find a way to indicate when I am doing something rather than saying something. some people think it's because I used to play D & D which only further proves I'm a complete dork::::

Readhead... now I'm going to prove your theory imperfect... Hi!!!!!!!

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

She's an artist, they do whatever the hell they please. "Artistic license" is their right to screw with the norm! Like it or hate it...it just is.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

True Tracy, she does, but in post 32, she did it just cause the mood struck her! I'm telling you, it's the "Artist Factor"!!!!

message 19: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) ::::shakes her artistic butt at Amy:::::

Thank you Tracy.... only you truly understand me!!! :::lays hand upon her forehead dramatically:::

shellyindallas Wow Charissa! What total bullshit! I just went back and checked out the thread and although your comments are nowhere to be found she says "I hate how I can't tell if Charissa is joking or not" (which I'm sure you know)

Guess she decided you weren't joking.

God that makes her look soooo lame!

When I first joined I found that post and wanted to comment on it but couldn't b/c it said the topic had been closed.

As much as I hate Diablo Cody, or as much as she gets my goat or whatever, It seems that Stacey's problem with her is that she is a woman who writes and gets more attention/recognition for it than she does. Which seems to be the problem she had with you. Which means she is totally.fucking.lame.

message 21: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Shelly... you hit the nail on the proverbial head. I can only assume Stacey Grenrock-Wood's main problem with me was that I was funnier than she was... and she gets paid to be funny. So :::raspberry:::: that's what I think about that. I watched the Oscars, with Diablo Cody getting her award for her screenplay and thought... ha ha ha... Stacey Grenrock-Woods is squirming, gnashing her teeth, and pulling out her hair right now. Ha ha ha ha!!!

Bitch. : )

shellyindallas I have to admit, she looks great for 80.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, Donald, hot, cool, maybe a good writer...but add to that self absorbed, pompous and deluded! She called us "her audience"...Sorry, I don't read Esquire, I'd rather be given papercuts between my fingers and toes with the pages!

message 24: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) wow... thanks Donald. Totally cool? Guess her behavior gets a pass because she's "hot" huh? Nice standards. Way to back up a friend.

message 25: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) You're an evil bastard, Donald Powell. : P

message 26: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Good thing you live in another part of the state... I have been known to pull pranks on evil bastards.

message 27: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 09, 2008 07:06PM) (new)

message 28: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Garsh Maureen... that's the first time I've enjoyed being identified as a bloated, old white guy. Ha! Seriously... that's an awfully flattering thing to say. I'm honored.

And have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy your poetic commentary? It's a complete brain flip to read your posts... very enjoyable.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

;) now if i could only find a job

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

haha
wc kicked ass

thank you i do what i can

message 31: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I also hate namedroppers. It is sad their identities are based on other people's identities. It makes me think "Who cares if you know so and so, what are you all about?"
