I fell in love with Lavender in the first book of the series. I was so happy to see her in her own book. It was fun trying to figure out the bad guys. The pace never felt slow there was just enough action and laughs. Learning more about Seth and Lavender was great. Also seeing Red and Nate again was an added bonus. I can't wait to read the next book.

Just like the first two, I thought this book was great. I thought it was a bit slower, but we got a lot of backstories on old & new characters and it set up more of where the series is headed. It ended with the biggest cliffhanger!!! I was so mad. I'm glad I didn't read this when it first came out cause I would want to have to wait until the next was published.
Atticus finally takes of to Asgard taking Hal, Leif and a couple other Thor-haters (I loved them. I hope they show up again!) to rain down vengeance to the blowhard Norse God. This is turning out to possibly having dire consequences but events are set into motion and there is no turning back: The vampire war brewing over Leif's territory if he doesn't come back, The pack upset if Hal doesn't come back, the fallout from the death of Thor if they succeed. Not to mention the death of Atticus that he was warned against by 2 different pantheon Gods.
There was a nice short story at the end of Granuaile connecting with her budding Druid life path. The joys and the trials. Can't wait to start the next book!

I am really struggling in finding time to read....I have started them all but nothing is grabbing my attention....not sure what to do...

Remember you can always change your book. You're not stuck reading the one you posted, if that helps.
I saw most teams have 2-3 stamps right now anyway. We're not out of the running!

Review: AWESOME. I love this series. She sweeps me away into her world of October. I love books with parallel universes. This time October has to rescue children who were kidnapped by Blind Michael who is a Firstborne Fae and a warped SOB. Along for the ride this time is Octobers Fetch named May. A fetch appear before someone is destined to die. Freaks out some of the people that October is destined to die soon. SM created a fantasy world where Blind Michael lives that is so well done and crafted. It is like a quest fantasy novel. Cant wait to start the next one.

So next up for me to read is Free Space which will be

gotta keep reading this series - addicted!

With "Dark & Story" and "Happy Birthday" we will have 4 stamps towards the cross. :)

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'series catch-up'.

Review: What a really good story and start to a new series. This was a new author to me and so glad I found her. This book was about the Realm Enforcers who are protectors of the Coven Nine. The MC Lexi is a Seattle cop and works hard to get drugs off the streets. She meets Kellan on a stake out. Kellan is an Enforcer. They are immortals who protect the witches. Great action. Lots to keep you reading, good pace. Loved it and have her next one set for auto buy.

I'm really getting into the series now and can't wait to read the next one. Kara Gillian is summoner. She can summon demons from another plane into ours. The demonic lord Rhyzkahl wants her to be his summoner, but it's no easy deal working with demons and even harder when it comes to a lord. She needs to weigh the risks vs. benefits and decide if it's worth it.
Kara is also a police detective in Beaulac, Louisiana. The recent murders have no connection anyone can see, except Kara can see that each person's essence has being ripped out of their body. She works more closely with Ryan and his partner Zack in this book. Their cases are starting to become intermingled.
There is definitely some tension between Kara and Ryan. Kara can't decide if she wants more with him, mainly because she doesn't know what he feels towards her (can't be more obvious to me though!) but, he has a secret arcane side that is starting to be reviled.

Shelf #5: Demons

Book: Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione
Date Finished: Aug 26
Rating: 4 stars
REVIEW:
I have very mixed feelings toward this book. On one hand, I liked it a lot. The story is engrossing and the different kinds of demons, the hospital setting (Underworld General Hospital?:D) and the hero were all great. The different species in this book were also interesting!
On the other hand, there was something about this book, that I did not like at all. It came dangerously close to the chuck-it-out-of-the-window-and-never-see-it-again category. I do not like the messages this book conveys. And I don't like dark books too much. Larissa Ione, however, masterfully skirted just the edge of it, before bringing the story to a different route. Thereby my 4 stars.
I do have to admit that there was something so alluring about the whole story. I couldn't put the book down at all!
I just hope the next book- Desire Unchained manages to be just as engrossing!

I loved the first two books a lot, but somehow kept off reading this book. Good to know that you liked it!
I hope you like the Edge series. It has more romance than Ilona Andrews' other books, but I still loved it a lot. Hope you enjoy it!

I really liked Siena but wasn't interested in Elijah. The beginning of the book bored me at first. My fave of the series is Gideon. I like learning new things of the world and the Night walkers. I hope to see more of the Mistrals I'd like to know more of Windsong and her powers. I definitely plan to continue on with the series I can't wait to see who Noah and Syreena end up with.

Review: I am a fan of Nora Roberts but I found this first book in the trilogy lacking something. It is a paranormal romance but I found the paranormal aspects just mediocre. I had a hard time getting into the book the first two chapters had me wishing that she would get the story going. Once the story changed to 2014 it got more interesting for me.
I will continue with the series but not right away.

Delitealex, Vampire Academy is one of those books I always want to read but never get to it. I keep thinking it's going to be too YA and I've been trying to stay away from those.

Shelf #6: Dark & Stormy

Book:Demon from the Dark by Kresley Cole
Date Finished: August 30
Rating:4 star
REVIEW:
I seem to have a love-hate relationship with this Immortals After Dark series as a whole. This book falls firmly into the love category.
I HATE betrayal a lot. A LOT. Books with betrayal make me want to chuck them out the window. It is one thing I really really cannot stand in books. Having said this, I have to admit, Kresley Cole handled the whole betrayal and tortured hero aspect in this book flawlessly and wonderfully. So much so, even me, someone who hates even the slightest hint of betrayal in books could appreciate it.
Malkom Slaine is a perfect example of a tortured hero. He has been betrayed constantly in the past. Yet he has somehow retained his ability to feel and be gentle. Even after Carrow's betrayal, he understands why she did what she did though he finds it hard to come to terms with, which is totally understandable. I loved how he treats Ruby. Malkom might be a little too caveman-esque as in must-protect-my-female-and-provide-for-her type which might have become annoying after some time, but again, Kresley Cole handles it very well.
I have to admit this: this book is one of my favorites of the series so far! Hope the next book- Dreams of a Dark Warrior is as good as this one.
