My Review: This is the fourth and final book in the series, although there will be novella's and a spin off series to come.
I highly recommend reading these in order as there are so many twists and misdirection's that you would spoil it for yourself if you didn't.
I loved this series, it had likeable characters from the wounded vets to the ladies they worship, action, romance and full of twists and surprises that had me hooked. I really don't want to spoil the ending for anyone so I will say this - this book had me laughing out loud and smiling wide, it also had me tearing up. The ending fit the story and I was truly happy with what happened.
Personally I have been a fan of Laura's work for a few years now and I can honestly say that her writing is getting better and better. I can't wait to see what she gives us next!

Shelf #16 ~ 28 Oct: Alpha Male

Review:
A satisfying story of a couple that got married for convenience and ended up in love, with a wild frontier America as the background.
A strong, slightly naive main heroine, a rugged loner hero with a strong sense of duty and their adventures on the way to their new life, that isn't quite what either of them imagined.
The romance developing between the secondary characters, along with the twins and adorable little boy gave the story more depth and some comedic moments.
Enjoyable book, like most of the author's.
Shelf #17 ~ 4 Nov: Same, but Different

Review:
A village ruled by women that suddenly gets a new lord who is less than content with the way of things as they are.
Susanna is the daughter of the most important man in the area and as such has an important role, which Victor, the unexpected new Earl of Rycliff threatens to take away.
Victor is tasked to gather and train a militia force and he finds the women's influence on everything irksome.
The two butt heads constantly and fight for dominance, battling their attraction to one another at the same time. Soon they realize that they work better together and they end up falling for each other, but do not stop trying to get the upper hand.
A slight twist at the end (view spoiler) was a bit surprising but made sense.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
