Lorraine,
"Force 10 From Navarone" is a great book, like all of Alistair MacLean's novels. If you haven't already, you must read "Guns of Navarone," "Where Eagles Dare," "Ice Station Zebra," "Athabasca," and "When Eight Bells Toll." Those are just the ones that I can think of the top of my head. MacLean never fails to disappoint.

I agree. I've read most if not all of those books. One very memorable one is Night Without End. I can remember feeling very cold while reading it.
