This is the 1st in a newer series from perhaps the last 3 years. I don't think others have come out yet.

A teenage girl and her father (who is a powerful witch) are on the run from Daemons because years earlier, he took something from the Daemon king that he wants back. She is raised to fight Daemons and distrust them in general. Meanwhile, she has unknowingly befriended and fallen in like with a Daemon boy who has been following her in order to figure out if she is the Daemon king's missing daughter.

When her father goes missing, his sister, one of the most powerful witches who has never liked the girl, insists that she cannot help. The girl has to decide if the Daemons she has met are trustworthy and will help her since she is pretty sure she'll have to go searching for him in the Daemon world.
