Reggie Shanala | 13 comments A fun book about a girl, young teenager, who records her adventures on a tape recorder, I think. Her imagination allows her to imagines that ordinary objects have "come to life" or become animated.
I think this book was written in the mid to late 90s and was set about that time, I believe. I think it was like a 4+ book series.
The cover was very colorful.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

TC--I've moved this down to Unsolved. You'll get more people seeing it there.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Tc, was this book a fantasy? Did the things really "come to life?"

And, what was the major plotline in the book? Was it typical teen things, like Tommy didn't ask me to the dance or I flunked my final exam

No, they didn't really come to life, but in her imagination they did. And yeah, I think it was typical teenage problems.

Naw, this isn't it. But thanks! The book you inserted is WAY too deep and dark for what I was reading back then.
thanks!

TC--if you bump your thread up periodically you'll have a better chance to get it found than letting it just sit there at the end of the 3k+ queue of threads.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Maybe, Fruit and Nutcase Fruit and Nutcase (Diary, #3) by Jean Ure ? It was published in 2002, however.

Could it be Harriet the Spy? :)

No response in 2 years. Moving to Abandoned.

Reggie Shanala | 13 comments Hey, thanks everyone.
Not Harriet the Spy.
Or Dork Diaries.

Reggie, I moved your request back to the "Unsolved" folder.

Can you tell us more about the girl - e.g., does she have friends, family/siblings, favorite subjects in school, hobbies?

message 21: by Reggie (new)

Reggie Shanala | 13 comments Hey. Thank you for that.
I don't remember any siblings (perhaps a baby who we didn't see).
And maybe a mom.
School... I'm assuming she was kind of lax about it. No real info there.
Maybe it was from late 80s. But I read it in the 90s.

Reggie Shanala | 13 comments Hi, all.
Thanks for the help.
I've found the series! It's the "Secret Adventures" by Dave and Neta Jackson!
Thanks so much! Truly!

That's great! Glad you found your book series, Reggie.

Do you see the books on Neta Jackson or Dave Jackson's pages? Or do you have an Amazon, etc. page reference?

message 24: by Reggie (new)

Reggie Shanala | 13 comments Thanks! I was starting to think I'd made it up. LOL

& yes. The books are on their pages.

What's the title of the book series or one of the books - as it appears on Goodreads?
