The book starts off with a woman being scared because her husband walked in her house but he died awhile ago. It then turns to the POV of Franklin, a man who fixed clocks in a museum. Later, he meets a woman who works in the theatre business and he helps her with a play. The third protagonist to show is a thief whose name is Edward. It wasn't a normal book, there was a mechanical dinosaur I think..
