Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 5588 comments thanks for the fast response.

eta: duh, I don't know why I even asked because there are fairies in the book anyway.

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 5588 comments Ok got another one for you. I didn't read this one. Vicky read The Book Thief and I guess it's narrated by Death. So does it count for Supernatural Creatures?

The Book Thief

I would say, yes, Mary: HDLS. I don't think Sonia would differ... but maybe. Let's see what she says.

Hina (hinaj) | 884 comments For Read like a Banshee (event 1), can we count the pages read for a book that is less than 160 pages even though we won't be tagging the book for the challenge??

No. Sorry, Hina. Only those books that qualify for the TTRC.

SandyC (sandyc88) | 1193 comments Hi. One of our teammates signed up for Event 1, but she hasn't posted any pages since the beginning of the event, and she didn't respond to my PM. Can I just remove her from our player list?

message 115: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Sandy, I'll let Sonia answer this officially, but I believe a member has until the 14th to drop out. How many days has it been? Only five, as of a few minutes ago? Not everyone checks GRs daily, like some of us do. ☺

Ok, sounds good. Thank you for answering so quickly!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Sure. ☺

message 118: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 3273 comments Death is portrayed as a spirit like creature or entity which fits Sonia's example and has the ability to take souls, so supernatural creature should work

message 119: by SandyC (new)

SandyC (sandyc88) | 1193 comments For Event #1, will textbook pages count?

message 120: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I don't see why not, Sandy, as long as the book itself qualified for the TTRC. However, Sonia has final say-so.

So did Sonia decide that textbooks pages will count or not? I can use the answer to that as well :)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Textbooks? Do we count textbooks for the overall challenge? Were these textbooks considered when setting book goals?

Ewww. I don't miss reading textbooks.

message 124: by Jenn (last edited Oct 18, 2013 02:44PM) (new)

Jenn (engelsigh) | 1339 comments I don't know about this particular challenge, but I usually count textbooks for challenges, and towards my reading goals for the year. Most of them are longer than the 160 page limit...and if I have to suffer through reading it, I feel it should count towards my years reading goal. Know what I mean?

message 125: by Sonia (last edited Oct 18, 2013 09:32PM) (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Yes, any book that can apply to the TTRC can be used to the Read-a-Thon. That applys to textbooks
