Lacy, this is one of my favorites in the Dark Hunter series...Bride is such a wonderful character! If you like her, I'd recommend, even though I'm not your original recommender, Angela Verdenius' Erotic series that starts with Doctor's Delight. The stories aren't really that erotic, just got listed that way, but all of them feature Plus sized heroines. It is a wonderful series, and I just recently found out that she did a spin off series as well! I'm looking forward to reading those!

Read A Better Place and Strength of the Pack and enjoyed both of them. I might read a few more this month but I will definitely get to most of them over the next few months. Added a few to my TBR as well :) Thanks for the picks.

Elizabeth (elizabeth_greece) | 1918 comments Crystal,
I finished my second pick Dracula by Bram Stoker . I liked it, although I found it a little slow, gave it 3 stars and overall I'm glad I read it. Thanks for the pick!
I'm going to start Rock Chick Revolution (Rock Chick, #8) by Kristen Ashley next week:)

message 356: by ❆ Crystal ❆ (new)

I hope you like Rock Chick... I heard good things about it.

I finished The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt and really liked it. I loved the fairy tale told at the beginning of each chapter and the sexual tension between the characters. I'm now reading The Serpent Prince, another book in Hoyt's series. Thanks for the great recommendation.

message 361: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) @Erin

Finished my first pick Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs - definitely my favorite in the series. Of course, it had me at serial killer but I also love how Charles and Anna cope with their difficulties and the ending was a huge surprise.

Thanks for the great pick!

Just finished a 2nd pick, Club Shadowlands. It was a good and pretty quick read. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going to try to read at least 1 more by the end of the month (Molly Harper).

message 363: by ⚜️XAR (new)

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) Daffodil, I finished The Negotiator yesterday! It was really good, and I liked that you get to see what is going on with the previously mentioned couples, as well as what is going on with the family. Ended up grabbing the second book in the series, since I am ahead of things slightly. After that, will probably pick up Once Upon a Prince to read, to cleanse the mental palate, if you will.

Glad you enjoyed the first one. It was one of the weaker of the series, but I still like it. The next is a nice paranormal cozy mystery.

I did enjoy I'll Be Your Drill, Soldier - like I said, not my usual thing but I am glad I read it. I gave it a 3.5. I have to say, though, that the title doesn't do the book justice. It's way more in depth and emotional than the title suggests, IMO. I can see why it's one of your favorites. Thank-you for sharing it with me :-)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the picks this month! Yeah, don't get me started about that title and cover. They're terrible, and you're absolutely right that they aren't appropriate for the book. Thanks for giving it a shot even though it's not your thing! :)

I stayed up way later than I should have on Wednesday to finish Once Upon a Tartan. I really liked--as I said, I've recently discovered Burrowes. She writes books that make me laugh out loud. I had read the one before this but felt like I needed a family tree. The way this month is going, I'm not sure I'll get to another choice but I've added them to my TBR.

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) Rainy day at work means that I was able to finish Touch the Dark today. It was ok, had promise, but I felt like I was missing a bit of backstory throughout, which made for a confusing read. I'll have to do some research, see if I am missing a prequel or short story that clarifies things a bit. Would go back to the series if I can get that clarification, so thanks for the recommendation, Daffodil!
