Night Play was a good one!
HI Kimberly,Finished my first pick
It was a cute fun read. I love to have something light and frothy to read after so much Urban fantasy. Thanks for the pick!

Crystal,I finished my second pick
. I liked it, although I found it a little slow, gave it 3 stars and overall I'm glad I read it. Thanks for the pick!I'm going to start
next week:)
Elizabeth, I read dracula as well.... and I gave it the same 3 stars. I'm glad you read it. I was trying to imagine reading this is the 1800's with candlelight.... creepy. I hope you like Rock Chick... I heard good things about it.
Finished Danger in the Shadows this morning and immediately started The Negotiator. Both are good reads and quick as well!
Penney

Ashley--I finished
and really liked it. I loved the fairy tale told at the beginning of each chapter and the sexual tension between the characters. I'm now reading The Serpent Prince, another book in Hoyt's series. Thanks for the great recommendation.
@ErinFinished my first pick
- definitely my favorite in the series. Of course, it had me at serial killer but I also love how Charles and Anna cope with their difficulties and the ending was a huge surprise. Thanks for the great pick!
DeeJust finished a 2nd pick, Club Shadowlands. It was a good and pretty quick read. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going to try to read at least 1 more by the end of the month (Molly Harper).
Daffodil, I finished The Negotiator yesterday! It was really good, and I liked that you get to see what is going on with the previously mentioned couples, as well as what is going on with the family. Ended up grabbing the second book in the series, since I am ahead of things slightly. After that, will probably pick up Once Upon a Prince to read, to cleanse the mental palate, if you will.

Finished my second book
.I really enjoyed this one. Funny, romantic and a page turner. A 5 stars read for me.
October 2013 PIFM Challenge - picked by KatieHey Katie
Finished Backstage Pass and totally enjoyed it! Now I have to go get the rest and finish them all!
I think instead of Midnight in Death, I'm gonna try your pick I'll Be Your Drill, Soldier. M/M isn't usually my thing, but trying something new is the whole point!

Sorry my reply is so late in coming ;-) But I'm so glad you liked it! What's next?
Finished up with a couple of books in the O'Malley series that came after The Negotiator, then started Working Stiff today. I'm about a third of the way into it...and can tell this really isn't my cup of tea. Gonna slog through and finish it, but my first impressions of it are at two stars right now.

I did enjoy I'll Be Your Drill, Soldier - like I said, not my usual thing but I am glad I read it. I gave it a 3.5. I have to say, though, that the title doesn't do the book justice. It's way more in depth and emotional than the title suggests, IMO. I can see why it's one of your favorites. Thank-you for sharing it with me :-)
Arena wrote: "PenneyI finished Glory in Death and I have started The Last Boyfriend I will see if I can read more of you recommendation as I go"
Arena, it looks like you've got a Nora Roberts theme going. I hope you're enjoying them :-)
Speaking of a Nora Roberts theme, I finished
last week, Jessica. It was a great beginning to what appears to be another entertaining Nora Roberts trilogy. Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the picks this month! Yeah, don't get me started about that title and cover. They're terrible, and you're absolutely right that they aren't appropriate for the book. Thanks for giving it a shot even though it's not your thing! :)
Finished Working Stiff this morning at work. Really didn't care for it, even though it reminded me of the Universal Soldier movies. Thanks for the recommendation though, Daffodil, most of your other ones seem to have been good reads over all!

Daffodil wrote: "Victoria wrote: "Finished Working Stiff this morning at work. Really didn't care for it, even though it reminded me of the Universal Soldier movies. Thanks for the recommendation though, Daffodil..."Oh, no worries! I figured not all of them would work out! Probably going to head for Touch the Dark next, it's due back at the library soon.
It's taken me a little while but I got my first book done...Long Night Moon...now I can't wait to read the next one. Thanks for the pick!!
Hi Breann! Finally got some other books out of the way so I could read one of your picks! I finished Redneck Romeo early (really early) yesterday morning and loved it! Dalton was such a sweetie! So many of your picks look so good, I am really hoping to get to more but so far reading has been slow this month.
Hi, everyone! We've reached the halfway point of the month, and just over half of the participants have reported reading at least one book (39 of 74). 17 people have read more than one book, and 3 overachievers have already read 4 or more! So far we've read a total of 69 books, and here they are :D
I finished my first pick! Wolf of Arundale Hall and it was awesome! :) I'm gonna try to read at least one more before the end of the month!
Gea wrote: "Carla I finished
and loved it. I also read
in the last days of September, I couldn't resist it :)"Good, I'm glad that you liked the books (and I don't blame you for not waiting--it's hard enough to manage all the books w/o worrying about what month it is) :)
Ashley--Thanks again for the great picks. I just finished my second PIFM challenge book this month,
and loved it--such wonderful, quirky characters and real emotion. Thanks.
Gea-I stayed up way later than I should have on Wednesday to finish Once Upon a Tartan. I really liked--as I said, I've recently discovered Burrowes. She writes books that make me laugh out loud. I had read the one before this but felt like I needed a family tree. The way this month is going, I'm not sure I'll get to another choice but I've added them to my TBR.
Leslie,I finished my second book
and I liked it. One more series added to my TBR.Thanks for the rec!
I finished a second pick, Beautiful Ruins. It was wonderfully written and original. Really liked it!
Rainy day at work means that I was able to finish Touch the Dark today. It was ok, had promise, but I felt like I was missing a bit of backstory throughout, which made for a confusing read. I'll have to do some research, see if I am missing a prequel or short story that clarifies things a bit. Would go back to the series if I can get that clarification, so thanks for the recommendation, Daffodil!

Just finished my third book,
Lacy, this is one of my favorites in the Dark Hunter series...Bride is such a wonderful character! If you like her, I'd recommend, even though I'm not your original recommender, Angela Verdenius' Erotic series that starts with Doctor's Delight. The stories aren't really that erotic, just got listed that way, but all of them feature Plus sized heroines. It is a wonderful series, and I just recently found out that she did a spin off series as well! I'm looking forward to reading those!
