message 60: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31575 comments I haven't signed up yet either! I love all of them in their own time and place, but since we did birthday cake, birthday pie and birthday ice cream today I am so sugared out the thought of anything sweet just gives me the heebie jeebies! So put me down for Salty and Crunchy too.

message 93: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments whee...in my attempt to actually be organized!

hi Mary Ann - here are your picks, hopefully one or more of these works for you ;)

Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles - Club Shadowlands - quite a few rich/well off ppl in the club (TBR)
Ice Cream - Vision in White - Nora Roberts is one of your most read authors, and this one is on your TBR
Jellybeans - Summer at Mustang Ridge - its a colorful cover and a cute contemporary romance (N2U)

Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips - How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf - how do you not have any Molly Harper on your shelves...(N2)
Pretzels - Gone Girl - no words to describe the twistyness of this book...i believe the correct term is mind f*** ;) (TBR)
Mixed Nuts - The Winter Sea - this is kind of unique in that it is like a slip-stream...not really time travel, but she can see the past (N2U)

Combination:
Trail Mix - Animal Attraction - really cute romance
Bacon Sundae - Ride with Me - you have a lot of contemporary erotic romance on your shelves, but not a lot of just sweet contemp - and Ruthie is a favorite of mine ;)

Hope one or more of these works for you

message 94: by Carla (new)

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Gea—here are your picks. Hope that you find something that you like--let me know if not and I can re-pick.

Chocolate Truffles – Well, of course there’s Fifty Shades of Grey, with the wealthy, sophisticated Mr. Grey
Ice Cream –I’d recommend One Good Earl Deserves a Lover, a fun, light romance.

Jellybeans – From your TBR, Submission Times Two.

Potato Chips (betcha can’t eat just one!) – I see you’re on #5 of the Cynster series (love those alpha males) A Secret Love. Hard to miss with Laurens.

Pretzels –I’d recommend The Rake by Mary Jo Putney—where an alcoholic tries to reform, with difficulty.

Mixed Nuts – For a great book with flashbacks (not quite a romance, though): What Alice Forgot. Everyone in my book group liked this one.

Combination:
Trail Mix – From your TBR, a shapeshifter book, Hidden Embers

Bacon Sundae (don't knock it until you've tried it...) – I don’t see a lot of YA on your shelves—I’d recommend Slammed for a YA romance.

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James One Good Earl Deserves a Lover (The Rules of Scoundrels, #2) by Sarah MacLean Submission Times Two by Claire Thompson A Secret Love (Cynster, #5) by Stephanie Laurens The Rake by Mary Jo Putney What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty Hidden Embers (Dragon's Heat, #2) by Tessa Adams Slammed (Slammed, #1) by Colleen Hoover

message 95: by Breann (last edited Sep 23, 2013 07:02PM) (new)

Breann | 398 comments Hi MountainKat! Well, that was fun :) We have so much in common so I loved being able to pick for you.

Sweet and Gooey
Chocolate Truffles:
Vengeance in Death (TBR) Roarke. That is all.
Fatal Shadows (New) I can't believe you've never read any Lanyon! I'm doing a re-listen of this series right now and I believe it's only $1.99 at Audible right now.
Ice Cream:
Promises (TBR) This was one of my first M/M reads and one I continue to reread.
Bear, Otter, and the Kid (New) Ignore the silly cover and title, this book is AWESOME!
Jellybeans:
Frat Boy and Toppy (TBR) Fun & sexy
Louder Than Sirens, Louder Than Bells (TBR) Free here on GR, another one of those LiAW stories that are way too good to be free.

Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb Fatal Shadows (Adrien English Mystery, #1) by Josh Lanyon Promises (Coda Books, #1) by Marie Sexton Bear, Otter, and the Kid (Bear, Otter, and the Kid, #1) by T.J. Klune Frat Boy and Toppy (Theta Alpha Gamma, #1) by Anne Tenino Louder Than Sirens, Louder Than Bells (Love is Always Write) by K.D. Sarge

Salty and Crunchy
Potato Chips:
Redneck Romeo (TBR) It's Lorelei James so it's bound to be a hot read.
Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (TBR) I love the smexy, snark in these books = SMARK!
Pretzels:
Divide & Conquer (TBR) Ty & Zane *sigh*
The Shattered Gates (New) When I hear 'confusing plot' I immediately think of this book, but so, so good.
Mixed Nuts:
Living Promises (TBR) This might be my favorite in the series that I've read so far.
Into This River I Drown (New) Another rec from TJ Klune that is just so wonderfully emotional.

Redneck Romeo (Rough Riders, #15) by Lorelei James Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4) by Kresley Cole Divide & Conquer (Cut & Run, #4) by Abigail Roux The Shattered Gates (Rifter #1) by Ginn Hale Living Promises (Promises, #3) by Amy Lane Into This River I Drown by T.J. Klune

Combination
Trail Mix:
Mine to Possess (TBR) Nobody does PNR quite like Nalini Singh.
Bareback (New) I loved this story, but very, very angsty.
Bacon Sundae:
Bran's Story (New) This may be out of your comfort zone. It's fantasy slave fic, with a really lovely slave boy(!). I love slave boys! There is some dub/con but really a sweet story. (also free here on GR)
Aklesh (New) I didn't see much sci-fi on your shelves and this was picked for me once (thanks Susan A) so I'm passing it on!

Mine to Possess (Psy-Changeling, #4) by Nalini Singh Bareback (Bareback, #1) by Chris Owen Bran's Story (The Slave Breakers, #1) by Maculategiraffe Aklesh by Samuel Jarius Pettit

I hope you can find something you'll enjoy in these picks! Not all of the recs from your TBR are from your specified shelf, but most of them are.

message 96: by ❆ Crystal ❆ (last edited Sep 23, 2013 07:06PM) (new)

❆ Crystal ❆ (crystal_wright) Elizabeth , I had a lot of fun picking your books, I hope there's something here that you enjoy.

Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles – Recommend a book with a wealthy character, or that is set in an exotic location
Surrender Your Love (Surrender Your Love, #1) by J.C. Reed – I enjoyed reading this book…. I gave it 4 stars.

Ice Cream – Recommend a book by an author that is a favorite of your pickee
Rock Chick Revolution (Rock Chick, #8) by Kristen Ashley … You've read all the books but this one, so I'm sure you're dying to read it soon.

Jellybeans – Recommend a book with a bright, colorful cover
The Leopard Prince (Princes Trilogy, #2) by Elizabeth Hoyt – From your TBR

Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips
– Recommend the next book in a series that your pickee has enjoyed
No Place to Run (KGI, #2) by Maya Banks – ok you read the first one like me, and I rated it 3 stars like you…. But, the 2nd book in the series was soooo much better than the first.

Pretzels – Recommend a book with a confusing plot, a mystery, or a character who has a twisted personality or is misunderstood.
Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno, #1) by Sylvain Reynard - On your self and I had to add to mine.

Mixed Nuts – Recommend a book with multiple timelines (flashbacks
Into the Deep (Into the Deep, #1) by Samantha Young * I’m reading right now and it is AWESOME.

Combination:
Trail Mix
– Recommend a book where a significant portion of the story takes place outdoors, or that includes an animal

Seabiscuit An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand – this is on your list and it sounds great… I'm adding it to my TBR list.

Bacon Sundae - a genre that they rarely read.

Dracula by Bram Stoker – This was hard as you read a lot of different genres like me, but it looks like you haven’t done a lot of the classics and since it’s Halloween, I thought this would be fun for you.

Fran | 12271 comments Hi Brandilyn!

Wow Breann! Awesome picks! I want to read just about all of them, maybe all I'm not sure yet! =) I really think the hard part is going to be waiting another week to start one of them!! Thank you so much!

message 99: by Ty (new)

Ty | 1943 comments Hi ~KarenH~! I get to pick for you this time. XD
I have a bunch coming from your can't-wait-to-read shelf, with some from your regular TBR, and new-to-you mixed in there. If you need a repick, just let me know. Hope you find something you like!

Sweet and Gooey:
Chocolate Truffles
TBR: Rock Chick - who's more bratty (yet fun-loving) than the KA's Rock Chicks?
NEW: Something Like Summer - grab some tissues!

Ice Cream
NEW: Once in a Blue Moon - IF you can find this book, grab it. My favorite HR of all time. I take a yearly pilgrimage to my high school years when re-reading this book.
TBR: Magic Burns - I tell this to everyone: the first couple books of this series was just okay. But, I promise you, by the 4th & 5th book, you will be rabidly climbing the walls to consume each and every word of the Kate Daniels world.

Jellybeans
TBR: Prince of Dreams - oohhh, my favorite of the duology. But I do love Russian princes.
NEW: He Loves Lucy - I rec this EVERY single month. Fun, colorful, sweet read.

Salty and Crunchy:
Potato Chips
TBR: Playing for Keeps - introduction to the, um, ravenous Bradford family. definitely has LOL moments
TBR: Third Grave Dead Ahead - you must continue this series!

Pretzels
TBR: As You Desire - on my faves list. Poor Harry is so lovable and misunderstood.
NEW: Real - recent favorite of mine.

Mixed Nuts
TBR: Shadowfever - why have you not read this book?? that is all.
TBR: The Dark Highlander - I read this book 3 times straight when I first bought it.... yes, a bit psychotic of me...

Combination:
Trail Mix
TBR: Tangle of Need - not only is this Riaz & Adria's story, but it's like Hawke and Sienna, PART TWO. awesome sauce.
NEW: Midnight Rainbow - quintessential reading for the Linda Howard fan! LH has stated that Jane is one of her favorite characters she's ever written. I agree!

Bacon Sundae
TBR: Breaking Free - Isn't BDSM outside everyone's comfort zone? :D I think this is the book that Cherise Sinclair starts to really flesh out this series. Great read.
NEW: Willing Victim - I see you're reading Cara McKenna right now and I hope you're liking it! This one is SO FAR beyond comfort, but it's an... intoxicating story.
