Edge of Eternity came out yesterday. I'd put in a request for my library to get the audiobook on Overdrive, and I got the e-mail today saying it was ready for me to download! I have 3 weeks to read it, so I'll be done long before the Buddy Read in August.Zara, we're still planning The Stand for an October Buddy Read, right? Somehow it's never gotten on the list.

Are there any requests for November & December? We currently have 2 books for November and one for December. It may also be a good time to start thinking about what you might like to read in January/February 2015. It's not that far away now, believe it or not.

If you'd like to start the buddy read early, Adam is ready to start listening tomorrow. I'm still waiting for my copy....will send a note directly.

I would like to do this as well. Not the same series as Theresa, but would love to have a conversation about completing series.
I was going to read this book which is first in a series next month in honor of Halloween The Painted Man. Any one interested?

You're welcome Jannene.
I just bought Gone Girl with the intention of reading it next month, so I would like to join in too!
I know this is kind of last-minute, but is anyone interested in reading The Name of the Wind with me in November?
Cassandra wrote: "I know this is kind of last-minute, but is anyone interested in reading The Name of the Wind with me in November?"Hi Cassandra,
It's never too late to another book to the mix.
Anyone want to read The Desert Spear? We just finished The Warded Man in October for the buddy read. We could start this book in November.
I posted this in the other thread, but I suppose I should mention it here so Zara can see too. I'd love to join in on the buddy read for The Desert Spear.
Zara, can you continue Swan Song as a Buddy Read in November? Some of us didn't get to start this book until a few days ago and will continue into the early part of November.

Hello everyone,I was thinking that we could have a Christmas theme for the month of December for the BRs. So if you want to do this lets suggest some good Christmas books as BRs. We can also read non-Christmas ones , I just thought this theme would make it bit more interesting. Let me know what you think.

I've added The Great Gatsby and Thirteen Reasons Why to the list for December. Are there any other requests/suggestions for BRs for December?
Anyone interested in reading My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories for December?I can join in for The Great Gatsby and Thirteen Reasons Why. They have been sitting on my shelves for quite a while now.
I like some immersive fantasy for the holidays - something to keep me well and truly distracted from everything else! - so maybe someone would join me for one of these? The Mirror Empire
City of Stairs
The Queen of the Tearling

Zia, I actually just picked that book up at the store the other day and was planning on reading it after I turn in my final papers for my courses near the beginning of December. Having a buddy read might make it more enjoyable :) Have you seen the movie yet?

Hello everyone. Now is the time to think about what we want to read for January and February 2015.
I thought that maybe January would be a good time to try books by authors that are new to you or are of a genre you've never read before.
Zara, on the thread for the 2015 Yearly Challenge: Let's Turn Pages, there's lots of interest in Buddy Reads for The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas and Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. Can you set these up as quarterly reads, with Dumas starting in January and Hugo starting in April? For a "new to you" author, I'm also planning to read Clarissa, or, the History of a Young Lady by Samuel Richardson in 2015. This 1,534 page book published in 1748 is written as a series of letters, so I figure I can read a few letters each week as long as I finish in 2015. If anyone else is interested, that could be an open-ended Buddy Read.
Would anyone be willing to read Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption in January? I have heard it is an awesome book, and the movie will be released the week of Christmas.
Anyone interested in reading 1984 or Eat, Pray, Love as a buddy read in January? Both authors I never read before, and on my TBR list for a long time..
Maybe they will be an inspiration for some new year's resolutions? ;-)
Yay, welcome to the group Maria! :) Looking forward to reading Eat, Pray, Love together in January!Anyone want to join us? :)
