Buddy Reads Introduction & Sign Up
Trinity wrote: "Anybody interested in reading any of these books? https://www.goodreads.com/review/list..."
I can't see any of the books. It says the shelf is private.
Trinity wrote: "Just sent you a friend request (: Then you will be able to see them."I sent you a friend request Trinity.
You can also buy Middlemarch for Kindle on Amazon for $0.99 to $3.49, and if you choose the Whispersync version, you can add the Audible version for just $2.99 to $3.49. I have the Audible version narrated by Juliet Stevenson and may buy the $3.75 Amazon version just so I can switch between reading and listening. FYI, the Audible versions run 31h 36m to 35h 40m.
I could be interested in reading A French Girl in New York with you. It would need to be pretty late in the year though. Say October or November. Would that work for you Trinity?
Trinity wrote: "Just sent you a friend request (: Then you will be able to see them."Thank you <3
Are those books only available for Kindle? I can't find any at my library.
They are books that I got for free from Amazon, I am sur ethey can be found in bookstores or in libraries but probably not all of them. @Zara ~
I actually am going to read A French Girl in New York as a buddy read in another group, I forgot to move that book from that bookshelf. Are there any other books you want to read?

Debbie wrote: "hi not sure if doing this right but would like to join the buddy read for middlemarch. how do I go about this xx"It's really simple Debbie. When I post the discussion thread just post your thoughts and comments in the thread. I have been wondering if it would be better to include the names of the people who have said they wanted to participate somewhere.

Hi Trinity. I just had another look at your books and there isn't another book that I would like to read. Sorry.
Debbie wrote: "thank you zara. so middlemarch is the book for march. have read that right xxx"Yes it is Debbie.
Craig, how are you going with Shantaram? I've still got a way to go - I've had a number of large books which I'm needing to read so it's taking me longer than I had planned to read this. We do still have all of February to go though.
Craig wrote: "Hey Zara, I've not started it yet either as I've just finished The Eye of the World. How about we make it February/ March?"That seems doable for me. I've altered it on my buddy read list.
Theresa~OctoberLace wrote: "1Q84 is on my TBR list for 2014. I have the full Audiobook that includes all 3 sections. It runs 46 hrs 50 min. I can join a May/June read for that one."Great! It will be good to have someone else to talk it over with! :)
Cosmic wrote: "I would like to sign up to read Middlemarch. This is for April and March?"Yes Cosmic this is for March and April. Great to have you.
Brianna wrote: "I'm planning on reading Looking for Alaska next month if that's not too early for you?"no no that would be perfect actually! i ordered these books last week and im probably gonna get them by tomorrow morning so that would be perfect!

it'll be my second john green book too. I read The Fault in our Stars last year and i loved it! Since then I've been wanting to read his other books but just didn't get the chance.
let me know when you're ready to start looking for alaska :)
I'd love to read Paper Towns and/or An Abundance of Katherines with you. I don't mind when, I think I have them both somewhere and no reading plan set out. Looking for Alaska was the first John Green I read followed by the Fault in Our Stars. Trying to work my way through the rest now.

I have this book on my shelf too. Would like to read in February too.

So I would be happy to join in on this read for whichever book you prefer.
Don't mind when either, just not before march :)
Ian and Stefani I have added both "Paper Towns" and "An Abundance of Katherines" for April. Let me know if that will work for you both.

thanks Zara for also adding Looking for Alaska for February :)
How do I join a February buddy read? I just tried to comment on Rebecca and it said the post was closed.
Alissa wrote: "How do I join a February buddy read? I just tried to comment on Rebecca and it said the post was closed."They probably will open the post a couple days before February starts. :)
Hi Alissa,I'll open the thread in a couple of days time. I only posted the threads now because we have 7 buddy reads for February and I wanted to get ahead with the threads so I wasn't rushing closer to the time.
I've opened the discussion threads for February's buddy reads and moved the two books whose discussions will be continuing through February - Shantaram and Fall of Giants. Please enjoy all your reads.
Craig wrote: "Anyone fancy doing Rebecca as a buddy read? I was planning to read it next month."I'm in for Rebecca next month, Craig. It was on my tbr list for a long time now.
Dawn wrote: "I would like to be added to the buddy read for Rebecca
by Daphne du Maurier Thanks"I've added you to the participant list dawn. Good luck.
Jodi wrote: "Anyone interested in We Are Water ? I want to start it pretty quick because it is a library book."I'm about a month too late, but I'll be starting this book soon if you still wanted.
Does anyone want to read I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban? I have no preference of when to read it.
